We looked a number of granite places and ended up going with Credit River. We loved working with the designers as well as the workman. They were incredibly punctual and the quality of the job is second to none. If I was going to do granite again, in another house, I would absolutely hire them again.

They weren’t very responsive. They had to come several times to fix different things and they ended up having to do a full replacement on one of them.

Counter for sink was to only have one hole drilled for the faucet. They drilled two. Now i have an extra hole with nothing in it! Addionaly, they hauled away the sink with the faucet attached. The faucet and sink were to be resused. When I realized that they had taken those items with them I asked that they be returned. Which they did later that night. However, they had bent and broke the copper tubing making the faucet unusable. This mistake cost me additional money and time to buy a new faucet. I spoke with the sales person and asked what they were going to do about these issues. As of today, I have not recieved any follow up with a resolution.

Countertops purchased through Lowe's. Price was great.
It took Credit River 3 weeks from order date to install.
The installation was done poorly. There was a 3/8" gap where the countertop was supposed to meet the wall, the slabs of quartz were not cut straight and when they anchored the dishwasher, it was done crooked.
Called in the same day. The customer service was terrible. Got someone to come out the next day. They blamed everything but the counter tops (cabinets were not square, the walls were noy straight etc)
They offered no real plausible fix. We are left with these errors and they will not be fixed.

The selection and ordering process was fine. The installation was a little rocky - they didn't notice a screw protruding on the underside of the cooktop and they didn't check the fit before leaving, so it didn't drop into the hole when the plumber came to reinstall it the next day. They came right away to fix it, but it still caused a delay in finishing the project as the plumber had departed and returned on another day. I am hopeful that they will make a habit of checking the fit of drop-ins before they leave.

The installation looks great however; they did a super job with the seams, and they really had to finesse fitting the granite to the existing backsplash. I am happy to report that they did not damage the backsplash tile when they removed the laminate and reinstalled the granite. We were a little nervous about that.
We conducted this transaction through Costco; Credit River does all of the Costco installations in this area.

This is a great family-run business!  Despite this being a relatively large shop, I think I met everyone in the family at least once in this process. All showroom staff were very friendly and attentive, even though I had already been working with another staff member.
Prompt measurement scheduling.  Individual doing the measure was very clear about what I needed to have completed to make the install run as smoothly as possible.
Installers showed up exactly as scheduled, cleaned up very well when done.
Explained everything that I should/shouldn't do after the install.
Quality of work is exceptional.  The countertops look fantastic. -- shopped around many places -- the prices seem very similar no matter where you go (you can save a little at Lowes/Home Depot - but you will end up with 2cm slabs instead of 3cm -- a significant difference, particularly on the edges).  These guys were by far the most friendly and customer focused I have come across.

They did a wonderful job.  Completed it in one day and cleaned up everything very well.  Their price was also competitive.

The plumbers were later (15-30 minutes) than expected. The countertop installers were friendly and did a quick (1.5 hours) and good job. The cost for the plumber was high relative to what was done (disconnect & reconnect the kitchen plumbing).

This was through another company. The initial contact went well. After we received the bid we went to the granite warehouse to pick a slab. We picked a slab and faxed the information to CRG. After waiting over a week and half for a response, I e-mailed the contact. Once the contact responded, he mentioned that he did get the fax awhile ago but there were problems with what we had picked out. I had to go back to the granite shop. This slowed our project down by over 2 weeks. When the final measure was taken (there had been a prelim measure for the bid), there was no mention that the existing disposal would not fit with the new sink. It was just discussed if we would want a new disposal, which I said no. When the install occurred, the disposal would not work due to piping and size limits. I believe this should have been caught prior to the installation since two supposedly experienced individuals had measured at two different times. The coordination between the plumber and the installers went well. The plumber ended up needing to charge us more due to the whole disposal issue.

On the communication end, there was so much confusion between who to call with questions or schedule changes: Lowes or Credit River Granite. It didn't seem that they communicated with each other because if I called one, the other didn't know what changes took place (both seemed guilty of this). On the work side, the counters were completed on time, install was smooth, and they look beautiful. We had a special feature - a pass through to the dining room - that required an unusual cut to cover through the partition wall. Everything fit well. The seam is nearly invisible, and some guests have said, "Love the granite!" The seam popped after about 2 months. CRG came out promptly and fixed it without question or charge. After my experience, I would skip Lowes and go straight to the shop. Probably would have saved some money too. Price is n/a since it was set by Lowes.

They did a very good job with materials and installation. I thought the price was competitive. All the people I dealt with from sales, to measuring, to installation, were friendly and helpful. Only downside (and perhaps it is because they are busy), most appointment times were late and I sometimes got a sense of disorganization when calling in and getting details. However, overall I thought they did a very good job and I'm satisfied with final product.

BID WAS IN LINE WITH OTHER FABRICATORS. I FOUND THE ENTIRE CREDIT RIVER STAFF TO BE VERY RESPONSIVE AND PROFESSIONAL FROM START TO FINISH. OFFICE STAFF WAS PROACTIVE AND WAS ALWAYS AVAILABLE. THE MEASURES AND INSTALLERS SHOWED UP WHEN PROMISED AND WERE PLEASANT TO WORK WITH. COUNTERTOPS LOOK GREAT.

STEVE MEASURED, ONCE THE FRAMING AND SHEET ROCK WAS COMPLETE, AND ABOUT 4 WEEKS LATER THEY RETURNED TO INSTALL THE GRANITE. CREDIT RIVER HAS SOME GRANITE SLABS AT THEIR WAREHOUSE IN BURNSVILLE, PLUS THEY HAVE ACCESS TO OTHER GRANITE/MARBLE SUPPLIERS IN THE AREA. WE WERE ABLE TO UTILIZE A SMALLER SLAB THAT THEY HAD IN STOCK. WHEN OUR CABINETMAKERS REQUESTED A SLIGHT CHANGE, THERE WAS NO PROBLEM WITH THE ADJUSTMENT. VERY PROFESSIONAL TO WORK WITH, ON TIME, AND CAREFUL INSTALLERS. KEVIN & MARK (INSTALLERS) WERE VERY PERSONABLE AND DID AN EXCELLENT JOB CLEANING UP AFTER THE INSTALL. WOULD DEFINITELY USE THEM AGAIN.

THEY DID A GREAT JOB. BE SURE TO GO OVER ALL DETAILS WITH THE PERSON THAT COMES OUT TO MEASURE, SUCH AS TYPE OF EDGING.
