Mr. Aos was referred to me by a siding company who was going to install siding and stone on my house. Because I had already purchased the windows, the siding company would not take the responsibility that I had actually measured them correctly.
Mr. Aos had to install nine windows, in which only one could be installed without additional framing. Because we were going to get the home resided just after he was done, replacing the siding was not needed. The contract was between myself and Mr. Aos, the siding company did not have any part of it.
Mr. Aos started exactly when he stated he would, his crew was polite and expedient, and he finished right on time. He remained on site and supervised the project. And, he would return my emails within an amazingly short period of time. That was really appreciated!
Although Mr. Aos works for this particular siding company that I used, he also has his own construction company.
My wife and I will differently use his services again as we struggle through this large remodeling project.
The owner or AOS Construction, Jay Aos, was great to work with, from the initial estimate, to the planning, to the scheduling, to the ongoing communication, to the crew, to the finished product, he made it easy and it turned out great! My husband jokes that you could land a plane on the garage it is so strong, and I had a couple other people who work in the trades comment on the quality of the work. One of the most impressive things was the initial planning. We had some complex issues with it built on a slope with a shallow water table and an upper floor house window on that side that we wanted to maintain, but yet a desire to increase the door height. Jay brought out his cement guy and they went back and forth with options and plans, you just got the feeling that they knew what they were doing and could figure it out, and they had some really creative problem solving ideas.
We got to know Jay and AOS construction through the sales guy with Craftsmen Home Improvements (whom I also posted a great review for). We were looking to do everything at once (roof and side a new garage along with the rest of the house). AOS even worked on the rotted chimney framing issue that we had during the siding, and they worked so well together and communicated on everything and it made it really easy. Jay's communication, responsiveness and follow up were top notch, and those things are very important to me.
I had no idea what to expect when I went into all this, in fact I was pretty apprehensive having never done a remodel, and I was pleasantly surprised with how well everything went, and I would highly recommend Jay and AOS construction to anyone.
