We had an extremely large willow tree (5 ft diameter) in our front yard and it was partially falling down and needing to be cut down and removed. We contacted several tree companies from Angi's and didn't receive responses. We found Minnesota Tree Surgeon through a friend that works with them a lot in St. Paul. We worked with Brian and had an amazing experience. He was responsive in his communication, he was competitive in his pricing, his was super nice when he came to our house to bid on the project. He and his team were great to work with, clean, fast, and it looks great. Our neighbor even came over and asked for a bid, which he provided so he came back the next week! I really recommend working with them!

The good the tree was removed. The bad they dropped large limbs on our parking concrete and created a couple cracks in the concrete. We have yet to resolve this because instead of being a professional company saying sorry for the oops and helping repair the problem. They have decided to ignore and threaten us. Now 2 1/2 months later that we have contacted the forestry dept. he sent a threatening email saying his friend would do it in the spring it's his dime don't worry about it. I have now contacted the BBB. His response was why I don't want his friend to arrive at my property, I asked that he paid the original concrete contractor or take it off are bill and he went on about his thoughts of us. Very unprofessional.

Brian and his guys really are pros. For my removal job, he brought in a crane crew to help, which quickly removed the large tree in 3 sections as Brian cut them. There was no worrying about anything falling the wrong direction onto the house, or having a bunch of limbs and debris laying around all day. The tree was gone and the job site was clean in about two hours.

We were very happy with the experience. They did a good job.

Brian is very knowledgeable about the different species of trees along with when they need to be trimmed to avoid destroying the tree. He has great communication skills and is a very honest person. I received the referral from my father who had a tree cut down and other trees trimmed by Brian.
I needed a very large oak tree that was growing too close to my roof and smaller trees that were taking over the driveway trimmed back. He came over while I was @ work, left an estimate by the front door and asked me to call him if I was interested. I called Brian, left a message and was told he'd be over as soon as possible.
He's a busy man but totally worth the wait. He came over in the winter, trimmed the trees and removed all the branches. There was snow on the ground so it was easy to see the good job he did removing all the branches along with how much he cut back the trees w/o over cutting. We were very very pleased with Brian. I have since referred him to others and will never call any other tree surgeon!

Silver Maple tree fell on my house on Friday.  Contacted them on Saturday.  They were out early on Monday.  It took them about 3 hours.  They hauled it all away except for some wood chips left on the street.  Everything else was hauled away.  These people are pros.

They said that they couldn't come out til the end of the week, but were able to come the next day.

In the fall of 2012 I received three estimates to have a large maple tree that was rotting at the trunk removed from my backyard. Brian gave me an estimate and I told him I probably wouldn't have the money until the spring. He assured me my estimate would stand until then. The estimate was about $1000 less than the other two estimates. The other bonus was that he wasn't going to have to remove any of my fence unlike the other two bids. I called MN Tree Surgeons again in early April and Brian came back out to take another look. Later in the week, we scheduled the removal. When got home from work that day, the tree and the stump were gone. Brian warned me that I would be left with a heaping pile of saw dust which was easy to clean up. During the removal, they did break a few slats on my fence and Brian came out later in the week and fixed it. Based on the cost, service, and small footprint they left in my yard, I was very happy with my experience. I recommend them to anyone.

Excellent. He was very prompt in responding to my request for an estimate and very knowledgable when he provided it. He presented a couple of different options, explained what each would entail, and gave a detailed estimate. The work was completed within a few days of the estimate. The quality of the work was outstanding, and their clean-up was meticulous - they left absolutely nothing behind. I could not have been happier with the service.

They were at the neighbor's, I asked for an estimate, it was reasonable, they were finishing the neighbor's job, and they came over to complete our job in less than an hour. Well-trained, well-equipped, hard-working crew. Excellent clean-up.

They provided great service. The job went very well. They did what they promised to do. I haven't seen the work because it was done on a rental property. I have been working with them for a couple of years now. They do what they promise.

I was very please with the work they did. They were on-time. They were thorough but also made quick work of it. Cleaned up-all branches cut were loaded up and hauled away. The trees look great. My neighbors on both sides expressed their appreciation. I did a bit of research on what something like this would cost. There is a time for bargain hunting and this type of service does not fall into that category. You get what you pay for, and with trees, you have to live with the mistakes for a LONG time.

Fabulous service. Showed up on time, worked hard, friendly efficient workers, reasonable price. Best service I've had in a long time. My children wanted to watch part of the tree removal and the workers were very kind to them.

They work efficiently and clean up as if they were never there. They are flexible and responsive. I had a large tree fall on my property and they charged less than half than other estimates to remove the tree. They have continued to be affordable. I would use them again.

CONSIDERING THAT SEEMINGLY HALF OF THE NW METRO NEEDED TREE WORK ALL AT ONCE, BRIAN AND HIS BROTHER MIKE WERE THE MOST PROMPT IN GIVING US AN ESTIMATE AND SCHEDULING WORK. WHEN THEY CAME, THEY WERE VERY CAREFUL TO GET THE JOB DONE RIGHT AND TOOK TIME TO LOCATE PRECISELY THE UNDERGROUND SPRINKLER SYSTEM. THEY LEFT THE LAWN VERY CLEAN AND HAULED AWAY ALL OUR EXTRA TREE DEBRIS FROM THE STORM, AS WELL. THEIR ESTIMATE WAS CONSIDERABLY LOWER THAN AN ESTIMATE WE RECEIVED LATER.

BRIAN AND HIS CREW ARE VERY COURTEOUS AND PROFESSIONAL. THEY MADE SURE THEY UNDERSTOOD EXACTLY WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR, THEN THEY MADE SUGGESTIONS TO MAKE SURE IT WAS DONE RIGHT. THEY CLEANED UP AFTER THEMSELVES AND WERE PROFESSIONAL. I TRUST THEM, AND DEFINITELY WOULD HAVE THEM DO WORK FOR ME AGAIN.
