This was the worst experience we have ever had with a home project. We went with this company because of the type of fence we wanted and they said they would core our concrete. From the beginning it was not good. The fence was installed incorrectly, and had dents and chips. They said they would core our concrete for the posts, but they saw cut it and cracked a portion of our concrete. They set and reset the posts three times to get it level and never did get it plumb. You would hope the company would be willing to make it right, but it was very difficult to get responses. We almost got a lawyer. I would never recommend this company! I wish we would have looked at Angies list because they were listed #31 out of #34 when we did look which was after we started having problems with them.

The workers even though it was clearly marked, severed our comcast connection. They did not notify us when it happened and I found our phones, internet and t.v. were not working. We only have a landline so the lack of phone service was very concerning. They failed to bother contacting Comcast to tell them what happened and request service for us. Nor did they ever apologize. We went four days without service and were very upset with this companies total lack of concern or customer service.

Town & Country Fence has given our family such amazing service that I can hardly believe it! It is so rare to receive service this good anymore and I would recommend them to anyone and everyone. I contacted them about a small fence repair but you would never know it by the service I received, you would think I was spending thousands! The communication, attention to detail and friendly people have gone above and beyond. I would definitely call them again!

WOW! It was a great experience from beginning to end. The quote was not the cheapest but it was also not the most expensive. I gage a lot of customer reviews when choosing a company to do work and the reviews were spot on here. The only issues I had with the project were the surveyor to mark property lines hitting the main power line and cutting electricity to several houses and the city not marking our utilities correctly which caused our internet line to be cut when fence posts were being dug. Neither was the problem w/fence company. The salmon, David, did a remarkable job walking me through the entire process and the teams that actually did the work were also patient with my many questions. The fence is gorgeous, level, and sturdy as can be!

Each time work has been done well. During their 3 visits, there was only one issue which they resolved immediately. Our fence is now 9 years old and holding up well.

They will install a fence but you can never get them to come out to fix the problems you have with their poor installation.  Every year I wait 2-3 MONTHS for them to come out to adjust the fence gates that move because the installation was bad and the concrete they use crumbles over time.  Have anyone but them install a fence.  My neighbor had Home Depot install a fence over 23 years ago and never had a problem.  I've had problems with my T&C fence ever since it was installed 5 years ago.  Warranty is gone this summer and then I most likely will end up having another fence company dig it up and replace as T&C won't replace their fence posts that are failing with their crumbling concrete.  They blame it on the clay.  All the other fences in the neighborhood not installed by T&C are fine, just ours that they installed has continual installation problems.

I moved into my house in early December of 2009 and the ground was still dry and unfrozen. Town & Country Fence came over and performed an estimate for the fencing. Prior to arrival, they helped me set up a survey of my property lines and talked me through how to get information on city fence ordinances. We scheduled installation immediately, but the weather turned cold fast and snow fell, freezing the ground. They were unable to do the installation due to the weather and ground freezing, and we had to wait until spring. When spring came, I contacted Town & Country Fence again to see when they could do the install, and they gave me a timeline on when it would be possible again. They had raised their rates for 2010, but they honored their 2009 quote without hesitation. When it came time for installation, they drilled the holes and set the posts in concrete. When the concrete cured, they returned and installed the fence quickly in a couple hours. The fence is great quality, the lines are straight, and they installed the fence exactly as I wanted so that my dogs could not get out. I would highly recommend them for a similar fence.

One man showed up to provide an estimate, another group came to dig the holes and pour concrete, and a third group came out to install the actual fencing. I did have a small problem with the gate. I notified them and they immediately came out to fix it. They did a great job.

In late April, estimate done by Dale S. was best of the 4 we received by $600. We were told we would be notified by May 17th to schedule the install and were actually called on May 12th for May 13th.
Posts were installed in 3 hours on May 13th. Crew returned on May 16th at 8AM to complete the fencing. Fence was completely done and crew gone by 12 noon. All post-hole dirt was put exactly where requested. Crew cleaned up after themselves.
Job was completed to our satisfaction. We have recommended this company to neighbors who are hiring Town and Country Fence.

Town and Country built our fence, charged us $5000., it was the biggest waste of our money we ever spent. They put the post in only 3 feet, not below the frost line. Each winter the posts have heaved. The first year we called, we were told that there was no warranty on the fence. Well we needed it fixed, so we had them come out. They came out, poured new cement over the old cement, charged us $50. a post. This did not fix anything. The posts have heaved every year and we finally had to replace most of the posts ourselves. At least they are now below the frost line. I would / will NEVER recommend Town and Country Fencing to anyone. In fact when anyone talks about getting a fence I tell them not to trusts this terrible fence company.

They did not come on the scheduled date, and it took several phone calls to get a response. However there was no good reason as to why they did not come. When the workers showed up, they dug new fence holes and totally destroyed the gardens I had growing along the old fence. I had been promised they would be careful. One of my buried down spouts was ruined as well, and not fixed. It was a frustrating experience. They fence is wonderful and looks great. The only plus!

They came and dug and poured in our stakes before the freeze went in. It was very nice that they could squeeze us in right at the end of season and didn't charge us a premium.
The only real complait was that some sections of the fece where a little high from the ground. But it is easy enough to plant something in front of the gaps.
Best price for fencing we could find.

Building the fence itself went well and the workmen seemed competent. I even reccomended their company to other people at the time. My problem came when I phoned 3 years later (April 2011) and asked for someone to call me back on whether or not they do adjustments for settling. Just a quick question I wanted answered on the phone. I told the receptionist I realized it was something I would pay for myself, I just wanted a brief call on whether they do that kind of thing - I didn't need an actual estimate at this time. She said someone would call me back. 3 weeks went by and no response. Then someone came unexpectedly to the door. I explained to him I wasn't happy that no one had called me back - at that point he became rude and defensive and said they didn't have time to call people back. When I let him know I wasn't happy with this response he got arrogant and angry and walked off. When I told him if that was their attitude I didn't think I could hire them again when I move to my next house in a couple of years (the house I am to go to will require a fence) he shot back while walking away that maybe I better hire someone else! It was the most unprofessional response from a company I can remember. I hate to think what would have happened if I had been unhappy about anything during the actual building of the fence! I feel fortunate to be forwarned and will not use them again.

I hired them to do the job in November of 2009. They were doing something incorrectly, so I asked them to hold-off on the construction until I could take a further look. They ignored my request and went ahead and finished the project. There were legitimate craftsmanship errors. We kept calling Kevin to make resolution to the problem, so that we could pay him. On 12/11, he became so irritated and aggressive that he became verbally abusive and told me that I was the type of person that doesn't pay my bills. I told Kevin that this was ridiculous and quite shocking, since I was the one making contact to have resolution, so I could make the payment, while he was the one who refused to set-up a time to meet with me at my home to look at the fence. He was unprofessional, abusive, condescending, and hung-up on me several times during my attempts to contact him. We were so desperate that we called to talk with Kevin's supervisor. The person we spoke with said, "You will get nowhere with Kevin. He is impossible to deal with, and as for the owners, forget them too, as they will back-up Kevin's decision on everything." I hung-up feeling completely hopeless. I have put so much energy into making a payment, yet I was treated with such disrespect and abuse. This is absolute craziness to conduct yourself or your business so unethically. On 12/18, I placed a call to Kevin for resolution again. He told me that there was nothing to talk about and that he was taking me to court and continued on in an arrogant, hostile manner, and indicated that he was going to hang-up once again, which he did, much to my dismay. On 12/22, I received a summon to appear in court on 4/19/10. I kept a 6-page journal of the entire experience and of the interactions that I've had with Kevin. Four times on 11/9, I asked to move the footings correctly, two times on 11/9, I asked him to stop construction, and eight times from 11/23 through 12/18, I called to make a payment. He wouldn't listen to reason or deduct the charge. In court on 4/19, I showed the judge my 6-page journal of word-for-word conversations with Kevin, as well as the 8 times I called to try to make the payment and reach resolution, and pictures of the fence. The judge discounted my bill and had Town and Country come out and fix my fence; I felt that I had won. Kevin was given every opportunity to receive his money and to fix the errors, but he chose to waste the owner's time and money by taking me to court. He could have simply come back to my house, fixed the problems, and received his payment, but he went with his ego. Being a business owner myself, I feel that Kevin acted extremely reckless and hindered the reputation of the company and I will never have anything positive to say about them, as I feel that their business ethics are deplorable.

Overall things went fine. I thought that their communication after they got the job was a little lacking. I had to call them instead of them calling me. They were on time.

They did a good job. They did not leave extra fence posts. I wish they would have for small repairs. They performed the work quickly and professionally. The price was very reasonable.

They were great. The salesperson was clear and helpful, the crew showed up as scheduled even though it was sort of raining, and the office scheduling person was very accommodating (I was trying to coordinate with my neighbor, who also had his fence done by them at the same time, and my landscape company). And the fence is beautiful!

IN THE END WE WERE PLEASED WITH THE FINAL PRODUCT, BUT THE EXPERIENCE WAS NOT WITHOUT INCIDENT. ALTHOUGH THEY WERE INITIALLY MORE EXPENSIVE THAN OTHER FENCING COMPANIES, T and C EVENTUALLY CAME DOWN IN PRICE SO THAT THE ESTIMATE WAS VERY COMPETITIVE. WE CHOSE T and C BECAUSE WE BELIEVED THEY HAD A SUPERIOR PRODUCT AND THE QUALITY OF OUR FINAL FENCE IS SUPERB. HOWEVER, THE INSTALLERS DID NOT FOLLOW THE CONTRACT SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE SPACING OF THE BOARDS (THEY WERE TOO WIDELY SPACED), FOR OUR FENCE AND THE FENCE OF ONE OF OUR NEIGHBORS. ALTHOUGH THE INSTALLERS FOUND A FIX FOR THE PROBLEM, T and C'S SALES STAFF WAS NOT PARTICULARLY APOLOGETIC. IT WAS NOT UNTIL THE OWNERS OF THE COMPANY LATER CALLED TO CHECK ON THE WORK THAT THEY OFFERED TO REDUCE THE PRICE BECAUSE OF THE ERROR.

WE HIRED TOWN and COUNTRY FENCE BECAUSE WE THOUGHT WE WERE GETTING A COMPANY WITH A STRONG CUSTOMER SERVICE PHILOSOPHY. THEY ARRIVED EARLY TO INSTALL THE FENCE POSTS, WHICH WAS GOOD. THEY RINSED THEIR CEMENT BUCKETS AND DUMPED THEM ON OUR LAWN (LEAVING MANY SMALL CHUNKS OF CEMENT IN THE LAWN) WHICH WAS BAD. I HAD TO CALL BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T SHOW UP ON THE STATED DAY TO INSTALL THE ACTUAL FENCE. WHEN I CALLED, I WAS TREATED TO THE SOUND OF SHUFFLING PAPERS AND AN EXPLANATION THAT THE FENCE POST CREW FOREMAN GAVE ME THE WRONG DATE. WHEN THE FENCE WAS PUT IN, THEY LEFT NUMEROUS BITS and PIECES OF FENCE CLIPPINGS ON THE LAWN, SOME AS SMALL AS A SINGLE LINK, OTHERS RUNNING SEVERAL FEET OF SINGLE LINKS. THE LATCH THEY INSTALLED ON THE DOUBLE GATE DOESN'T FIT CORRECTLY AND LOOKS ALMOST LIKE IT WAS SALVAGED FROM AN OLDER GATE. THE COMPANY DOESN'T MAKE FOLLOW-UP 'ARE YOU SATISFIED WITH OUR SERVICE?' CALLS. I DON'T THINK THAT WE'LL USE THEM SHOULD WE DECIDE TO FENCE IN THE FRONT YARD.

THE SALESMAN I DEALT WITH, DAVE, WAS EXTREMELY PROFESSIONAL AND EVEN MADE SUGGESTIONS TO SAVE ME MONEY AND STILL MEET ALL THE CRITERIA NEEDED. THE CREW THAT INSTALLED THE FENCE WAS VERY, VERY POLITE, NOT JUST ACCORDING TO ME BUT A NEIGHBOR ALSO. THEY WERE ALSO VERY PROFESSIONAL AND CLEANED UP AFTERWARDS. I''VE ALREADY HAD SEVERAL COMPLIMENTS ON THE FENCE!
