Sparky Electric

Once we were able to get a hold of him and have him come out, the work was excellent. He was difficult to reach, and missed the first appointment.

They were prompt, courteous- taking shoes off at the door, they explained what was wrong and got it fixed.

I had called them in to do a ceiling light fix. I had thought the fixture had broken only it turned out to be the light bulb. I could have easly fixed it myself had I known. This fix took about a minute so I showed him another project I was thinking of. Putting in fans in our duct work to better move the air to one side of the house. He said I needed to contact a HVAC person for that. So I payed $100 for about 15 minutes of time. Learned a lesson though!

He didn't show up for 3 scheduled appointments and I wouldn't recommend him. I am getting a refund.

With a hole in the ceiling bigger than the trim for a 6" light, he left and told me he would have a contractor he knew contact me about repairing the ceiling. The contractor came out a week or so later and told me he could fix it but would have to paint the entire ceiling too. He suggested an 8" can light and so I called the electrician back and asked him what he thought we should do. He thought the 8" can was a great idea and the next week came out and cut an 8" hole. THEN he said he didn't know if they madea eyeballs for that. Turns out they don't. At this point I called another electrician who reinstalled a 6" can and a different drywall contractor who I had already used. He will fix the hole for $ 453, and I may then need a painter. Needless to say, this was NO "big deal"!

He did a very competent job though he did not pick up after himself.

Responded almost immediately after I bought the deal. Made the appointment the next day and showed up on time. Work was fine just as I would have expected.

They did a good job with the work, and they were professional and friendly. However, I do feel as though the price was a bit high.

I contacted Sparky Electric through an Angie's list deal. Tim was punctual, even called to say he could be at my home earlier than the agreed upon time. With a partner, he replaced a chandelier hanging from a 15 foot ceiling. The Angie's Deal was priced great. I am giving B s instead of A s because I don't think they offered anything extra, like wiping down a cobweb that was within easy reach while on the ladder. But overall, cost effective and did the job.

Tim responded on very short notice to come out and move the electrical service connection on the outside of our cabin to a higher point on the wall. This included extending the mast and the wires inside. He worked with our contractor on getting the permit pulled and met with the electrical utility within a day or two. I really appreciate the immediate response and quick service.

It was installed and working fine. About a month later the fan and light would start sometimes and sometimes not. Not knowing if it was the installation or fan I called Sparky's. He was out in no time. It turned out to be the remote control. He took it apart and removed it. Put it back together and now I pull the chains and have coolness and light. I asked how much I owed him and was told there was no charge. What a deal!!!

Now wall switch has to be on for light and fan - wanted fan to only work with pull chain. decided not to have them back to redo it. person who came to do the work had unpleasant body odor and when he bent over plumber's crack was visible.

The technician was a real professional. He worked fast and accurate, and went out of his way to make sure I was satisfied. I would recommend Sparky Electric to anyone, and will be calling them again if I need more electrical work.

I bought a big deal and needed outlets changed to three prong. I had hoped to use only the big deal and get an estimate for how much everything would be. Instead of th 99 for two hours and knowing how much or how long all of the outlets would take, the big deal and another $400 was spent. I am still picking up empty boxes for outlets that were chaned I rooms I don't use. I eventually wanted it all done, but would have liked to know how long it would take, and get an itemized bill showing they applied the 2 hours of discounted service. I still have work to be done but will look elsewhere.

The work was done exceptionally well and would recommend and use them in the future.

Sparky Electric did not show up or call to reschedule the first two dates we set with them. He did make the third appointment and did an average job in advising on electrical work. The city inspector, however, corrected an issue that Sparky Electric missed. We would not use them again.

I had them install a dimmer switch and a ceiling fan. The work went fine, but it wasn't outstanding or anything. He did a good job, but nothing really stuck out to make it exceptional.

He was pleasant enough but was unhappy because the deal we got was under paying him. He was unable to do the full service and only part of the work but took an extra hour and charged us an additional $100.00 to do it. We still have two switches that are opposite when they are on and off. Very disappointing and cost twice as much.

Overall a pretty good experience. Tim tried to call me to make an appointment a couple of times after I had bought the Big Deal from Angie's List. It ended up with me contacting him instead because I had a busy spring. We set a date and he came punctually to the house to make the installation. Tim was friendly and installed the equipment within the two hours that the Big Deal gave me. The price was also great. Combined with the cost of the Big Deal I think we got a good deal out of it. I was less impressed with how the space was left after the installation. Drill dust everywhere, and lots of wire stripping 'stuff' all over the floor. That was a little bit disappointing, but we'd happily hire Tim again, because where it really matters he did a good job.

I have no idea what type of electrical work Sparky may do, since he was not professional enough to answer my calls on a timely basis or make a scheduled appointment.

This was a Big Deal coupon job. I left a message for Tim Wilhelm and he replied that same evening. We set up a time for the following Saturday and he called shortly before the scheduled time to confirm and let me know he was on his way. He arrived very close to the scheduled time. The work was done quickly and efficiently.

Fixed two outlets which were not working . After buying the $99 deal. He called and shceduled and was able to identify and fix the issue.

Everything turned out great. All of the light fixtures are working now. They arrived on time, got the work done quickly, and left everything in a neat condition.

It was good that he completed the service but it was bad that it was kind of messy when he was done. He was knowledgeable and helpful.

He showed up on time and did the work well. He was pretty slow and and he didn't clean up very good after he finished.
