While it was a little expensive at $325 for not a whole lot of work done, he thoroughly checked and diagnosed the issue and fixed it so our outlets that stopped working began to function again. Had a real issue been present, the $325 would have been well worth the expense though. Very professional engagement by the technician and he was clear about how the process and billing works up front. Unlike other contractors where they bill by the hour, they bid by project upfront. So that is the risk I assumed by agreeing to the $325 charge...if it were more serious, I would have come out ahead. In this instance, it wasn't though. I would use them again.

One thing I was really disappointed in is that I wasn’t told by Angie’s List or them when I made the appointments that there was a service call of $60. They were very prompt. I called them out because I wanted to be up to date with a switch and in the kitchen they replaced each outlet and it costs me $135 each. That was over $500 and the total was almost $1300. Even just replacing my smoke detector was almost $400. They had to make another appointment to replace the outlet in my garage. They were very pleasant and they should have explained more why each switch was so expensive.

The problem with the outlet was solved quickly. Work was done professionally and all details were covered including making previously uneven outlet level. I was given options as to how to approach the work and chose the one I liked best. The electrician was professional, friendly and did a great job.

Added new AFCI circuit to 5 new kitchen recessed lights, rewired main box in kitchen and added new switches. They sure came quick and were eager to "do business". Well the entire job took under 8 hours for sure and they said they could not change the price the on-site electrician quoted. Extremely steep initial estimate even with the AngiesList credit amount... it was basically not worth purchasing because the bill came to about $1200 even with the "$200 credit" deal. Changed all switches and plates to ivory though everything else was in Light Almond....? Try your luck with a smaller company or licensed electrician that works alone. The price for the work done was absurd. They also made me pay $125 for an inspection, which never happened and they never bothered to reschedule. Seriously.... would not recommend for small-mid size projects.

It was really horrible. I tried to resolve it but apparently by the time Angie's List got involved while trying to resolve it, the time limit has passed. I got a certain amount of money back but nit the rest of it. It went really badly. The vent in my bathroom had stopped working and I got a new one, Amazon, to replace it. It's the same brand and the same type. The electrician said, in order to pull out the old vent and put in a new one, I'm going to have to re-vent your house because it's no longer up to code. We have to put a whole new exhaust system which was going to be $2000. I said, I don't want to do that. I just want to replace my vent. He said, well, I think what you ought to do and he looks through the bathroom, you've got to just redo all the electrical in here and lights. I can put in a new heating system up here where your lights are and it will vent and it will heat so you'll be warm when you're in your bathroom. I said, look, all I want to do is get this humidity out of here when I take a shower. I don't want to do any of that. I'm planning on renovating the bathroom at some point and at that point, I'll deal with the ventilation system or what not. I just want to replace this. He said, well, what I can do for you is tow the motor out of your new one that you bought online and exchange it for the motor in the old one, that way I'm not touching your venting system. I said, that's fine. I gave him the brand new one that I bought online. He did this whole thing in about 10 minutes. He dis assembled it, took the motor out of the new one, stuck it in the old one, tossed out the old motor. He goes, there you go. He flipped the switch. I could hear the motor running. I said, fabulous, thank you. He said that's going to be an extra $93 over the $111 I paid Angie's. I gave him the money, off he went. I used it for a few days and noticed it did nothing. I don't know if he never reconnected it to the venting. A very loud motor would run but it did nothing. I called their office and they said they'll send him back next Tuesday. That day, I waited around. They called me at the end of the day and said, he's run in to some other appointments so he can't come out but we'll have him call you. I said, I don't want to talk to him, I just want it fixed, send someone else out. They said, no, it has to be the technician who did it. They called back and they said, there's really nothing we can do about this. I said, how can there be nothing you can do? They said, you had him pull a motor out of an old fan and put in a new one, there's nothing we can do about that. We can't warrant that. I said, it was his idea. The owner of Randy's called me and we went back and forth. She finally agreed to refund the $93 that I paid them. She credited that back to my account. By the time I got the whole thing resolved with them, then the period to get my Angie's List portion had expired. I contacted Angie's List about getting my portion back of the big deal. They said, sorry, that's expired. You were supposed to let us know within a 30 day period.

The person that came out for the bid was at our house for 4 mins total. They didn't even look in the garage for the updated electric box. They were supposed to call 30 mins before arriving, they called 1 block away from our home. The person doing the bid was really creepy and made both my wife and I really uncomfortable. The person doing the bid did not talk to us, let us know what they would do or why. Really did help us understand what they would do. They wrote and extremely high bid and left. We have gotten 2 other quotes and they were no where near Randy's quote, they were both half the quote. I was really unimpressed and dissatisfied with their brief service. Will not use nor recommend them.

I had purchased the Angie's Deal for the ceiling fan but asked if I could get a quote for other services while he was here installing the new ceiling fan. He discussed prior to initiating the work the need for the installation of a junction box for the ceiling fan as it was required by code and was not currently present. Upon completion, we walked through the other electrical work we wanted a quote on. Given the prices and the fact that he had the time to do the work that same day, I asked him to install a new outdoor, backyard light and an outdoor outlet near our front door. The fan installation was the Angie's List deal price of $79 or 99 plus I think $30 extra for the junction box install. The price for the outdoor light and outlet installation ran about $500 which included the cost of the light. The electrician even ran to Home Depot to purchase the light for me. He was quick, but thorough including explaining how the new outdoor light worked and asking me my preferred settings for the light before completion. He was pleasant and cleaned up after himself, which was especially nice with the ceiling fan as it hangs over our master bedroom. There was some sort of scheduling snafu but when I called to check on the electrician's arrival ( I had expected him in the morning based on an appointment I had set up over the phone), the woman said she was glad I had called because somehow the appointment was not on their calendar. She apologized, offered a discount off the service price and found an acceptable time for the appointment the same day. So, while not ideal that there was a mix up, I would say good customer service prevailed
Description of Work: Installed ceiling fan and added new junction box (because previous owner had not done it right) and installed new switch for controlling fan. Installed new outdoor backyard spot light (including purchase of light) and installed a new outdoor outlet near front door.

I was trying to put in a smart switch in the three way switch in my basement, kept flipping the breaker and couldn't even get the old switches to work. My internet, phone, and sat TV were on the same breaker and thus was Friday afternoon so wanted it fixed before the weekend. The electrician was here in an hour, fixed the problem and even showed me what I did wrong. Couldn't have been nicer and more professional. I will definitely be using them again.

The master electrician arrived exactly when he said he would and phoned ahead to let us know he was on his way. Upon arrival, he explained that the job was much more complex than anticipated due to some conditions beyond anybody's control in our condo. He called for more electricians and equipment, explained the job thoroughly and began working. The other electricians came and they all worked very h****** this difficult building which had such problems as joists that did not line up, sound strips in the ceiling and an out-of-date electrical box. We had picked out old fixtures from Home Depot and the electrician explained how updating to LED, etc would save us tons of problems in the future and he had the better ones sent out. The wore booties during the job. worked hard all day, and were friendly and courteous. Having the other two electricians come saved me from having to take a day off work. Great work, safety oriented and great guys. A+ work.

Was told they would arrive between 8 and 9am with a 30 minute warning call. They called at 7:30 and arrived promptly at 8am. They were very courteous and friendly right off the bat. They walked me through exactly what they were going to do so that we were on the same page and after a run for parts, jumped right in and made very quick progress of the job. They kept me informed throughout the entire process and even answered a bunch of my random questions that were not related to the specific job they were completing. They completely the job a lot faster than I thought they would and every walked through the entire house testing all breakers and labeled every one of them for me. I thought the prices were very fair for the work that was completed and am very pleased with this company. I would highly recommend them and plan to utilize them for future work.

Here's why this provider is only getting a "C" for professionalism. and why I strongly considered a "D". The Journeyman, Joe Bateman, was friendly, smart, and clearly knew his stuff. He addressed specific questions we had well, except for big point A: when we asked him to highlight the most unsafe among all the issues found, that need to be prioritized for budgeting, he included a $450 item "to prevent us having to replace batteries in a smoke/CO detector". Baffling. Especially since double-tapping on several circuit breakers, which we were told can start a fire that consumes the whole panel. was only among second-priority items. Really? Point B: enclosed in our final folder of information, we found a religious tract. A business is not the place for evangelism. Especially snuck in with important paperwork. Very disappointing. We felt Upsold and then, adding insult to attempted injury, proselytized, Extremely unprofessional! One of the two might be forgivable, but given both we will never deal with this business again.

let me start by saying that finding a good electric company is hard and this is the second one I used from this site and so far both are good but I have to admit Randy's is winning. the other thing about this type of service is price. do not expect to have a bill with less then 3 digits on it. with that out of the way let me tell you about my experience. to better understand my situation let me start by saying it was an emergency call, therefore a minimum of 199.00 just to get a professional on site and since I had no choice and no other company had someone available I had to take it. when I called in I was greeted very well and my huge problem was listened too and understood than the lady said: " well, I can have someone there within the hour if you would like". Since I had no choice and in desperate mode I took the 199 charge for the emergency call and they were on the way. Not even 10 min later Jeremy called me and said he would be there in about 20 min (took him 35 min, but no big deal, to me that still count to be on time under the circumstances). Jeremy and Charlie showed up in a very professional manner with badges and certificates in hand to prove who they are and what they are there for, I felt like the Power Squad was there to save the day, and they did. I explained the whole problem and what I tough was wrong and between the 2 of us in a manner of 2 min we agreed of what had to be done and even before he did anything he told me how much the job was going to be and he was sure all would be back to normal. (lucky me I had the breaker needed on hand, that alone saved me another 200.00). Before we were done talking about the game results the night before he was done and explained everything along the way and educating me at the same time. Let me end by saying thank you Jeremy and Charlie for your great service and professionalism. I hope your company makes a ton of money and you guys can keep up the great service with smaller prices, but I would definitely call again and refer this company anytime.

This was a great service because it gave me a status report on the electrical in this duplex I purchased early in 2015.
