Excellent. I bought the special on Tuesday and said I would like an appointment quickly. Courtney, called me Thursday morning and said they were ahead of schedule and could squeeze my job in, if I wanted. I said yes and she promised to call back with specifics. Ten minutes later, she called to tell me who was coming and what time. She was extremely friendly. So I was scheduled 2 days after getting the deal. The crew was expected at 1, but called at 11:45 and said they were much earlier and be there in 15 min. I told them I couldn't get away until 12:30 and said no problem. They came in, gave up front estimate, a little higher than expected but worth it for their customer service! Upon agreement, immediately went to work, laid down tarp and cleaned up spotless when done. An excellent experience overall. I even called back to schedule another appoint for my own home.
Description of Work: While doing a simple kitchen remodel at an invest property, I needed to relocate 3 light switches and an electric heat thermostat and remove 2 outlets. Because of their superior service, decided to have them convert an unused high voltage air conditioner outlet to stand voltage.

It went great! Our home has needed some electrical updates however, we couldn't do them all at once. In 2016, Randy's Electric said "No problem. We'll help you know if you have any issues that are safety critical that you should do first. After we get those taken care of, we'll lay out the other things you want to see done and tackle them one at a time, on a timeframe that works for you." How awesome! They didn't push to have us do everything all at once. We called them this year, they remembered us, reviewed what we would like to have done, came out and took care of this year's electrical project. Thanks for working with us Randy's Electric! And we will be calling you next year for the next phase!

Randy's Electric are nothing short of conning people out of their money.
Description of Work: Simple electrical work done on shoreline. Was quoted at the scene the cost would be around $200 but when Randy's Electric found out I had purchased a $200 package for $99 they raised their fees to $789. Randy's Electric is a total rip off. Their electrical package means nothing because they inflate their prices to more than compensate for any discount you may receive from purchasing a electrical bundle through Angie's List

Thank you for your feedback. I am not certain where the 200 dollar quote came from, based on the level of work that we quoted. The job is not nearly as simple as thought or outlined above. Our free estimate process requires a thorough review of the work needed and a firm quote on what it takes to get the job done. We do not inflate prices, in fact, we stand behind the price quoted regardless of any complications that may arise. If there is a misunderstanding of the amount of work involved, please let me know. I would love to provide more clarification. Our goal is to have a thorough understanding of the job scope on the front end, so that we may provide a 5 star experience on the back end. Thanks, Courtney Lotzer Randy's Electric

They handled each task easily and efficiently. More importantly they helped us understand the issues, explained what they planned on doing, and kept us up to date as they worked. They also clearly explained costs and kept right to their estimate. Best of all, beyond great communication skills and amazing technical knowledge, they are both really great, friendly, helpful and professional people. Thanks guys! Very MUCH!!!!

Jared and Jack really had their work cut out for them on this job and they were totally awesome ! VERY hard working guys and happy to answer any questions that we had. Kept everything clean as they worked and cleaned up again when they were finished. I would gladly hire Randy's Electric again in a heartbeat, and will recommend them to everyone I know who needs HIGH QUALITY electrical work completed. They may not be the cheapest company out there, but I doubt you will find anyone else that will do a better job for you. Thank you Jared, Jack and Randy's Electric !!!

Things went okay; however my wall socket no longer works after the electrician said he "fixed" the GFI switch in the bathroom. It worked before they performed the work. They never checked to ensure it worked after their work was completed.

It went absolutely PERFECT! From the original review of what I wanted, to the final job being completed, it was perfect. Randy's Electric made a great suggestion to meet my goal, with a less expensive approach. Both employees that were here were very professional. One minor question I had relative to the final cost, was easily evaluated, and I received a $50 refund. I wish I had discovered Randy's Electric before, but they will be my first choice on any future projects. PS - they cleaned-up upon completion of project, must superior to any other contractor I have ever used!!

The electricians arrived on time (I was scheduled on short notice and felt like the folks I spoke to at Randy's were interested in helping). The Journeyman electrician, Zach, was professional, personable and explained every aspect of the service call so there were no surprises. The faulty wiring connection behind plug was something I'd have never found, yet it was localized and repaired quickly. Zach took time to explain the cause and recommended a preventative course of action we will pursue. When electrical needs arise in our home, we'll call Randy's and request Zach. We highly recommend Randy's Electric!

Appointment scheduled for between 10 and 12 noon on 4/13. Did not hear from them on the day of the appointment. I called around 11.38 a.m. to find out if they are coming. The Office said they are running behind and will be there by about 12.15. Immediately afterwards, the tech called and said they are coming in 15 minutes. They came as promised - at 12 noon. The estimate for the job WITH THE COUPON was about $485. I decided it was too much to pay for this job. Basically, they had to only install the new outlet 5' away from the existing outlet on the same wall by fishing a line. He wanted to replace the breaker, and also replace the existing microwave outlet to a different outlet (reset). The house has been built in 1997. I have hired electricians for many jobs previously and honestly, I think this was way too much.

Was a pure pleasure to deal with Randy's Electric - Julie called the day before to give me a time window for when I could expect my service tech, Matt. Matt arrived about 20 minutes after he called me to let me know he was on his way. He was very friendly, professional, thorough, and efficient. All my outlets are now working, and thanks to Matt patiently showing me how to read the breakers, I hope I can resolve any future outages myself. While I hope I don't need to call Randy's again, if I ever do, I won't hesitate!

Very well. Jesse was very helpful. He provided information about the various options we were considering and the associated costs. He, also, took a look at a problematic outlet and explained how the home interior and exterior wiring could be improved. He was a good salesman as I bought a 30w LED corn cob light for the garage (hadn't intended to purchase) after he showed me what an outstanding bulb it was. The two of them were very professional, did an excellent job and, also, cleaned up afterwards. (It is the first time we hired an electrician, so, don't know how the costs compare to others, but, they were running a good special.)

It did not turn out good. I had bought the Angie's List Deal for a $200 credit for $99. I think their bid was $2600 or something. I told them there's no way I could have you do this work for this amount of money. So they told me ok then you owe us a $59 for a trip charge. I said What! That doesn't even make sense. And I said well you know what, maybe I'll just have you do one thing, because I had like 6 things on my list. So then I ended up spending $376 out of pocket for them to put in one bath fan. So normally then they're saying they would have charged $576 for that. In the meantime, I didn't have them do the rest of the work, which was putting up another bath fan, take out 3 lights and put in a new light. So I had somebody else come and do that, and they charged me less than he charged me just for the bath fan. I can't remember the other company's name but I got their name from another list. That was my last thing with Angie's List. I felt really screwed over by Randy's Electric. Those Angie's Big Deals are well, I just felt really bad about that. I just felt like I got taken. It's definitely not a company I would use again or recommend. We just didn't like the guy at all. He came in right away and was telling us why everything we wanted to do that we didn't want to do, and we said yes this is what we want to do. He quoted us high because he didn't want to do the work. Like he didn't want to work that day or something. Within 5 seconds he was like barking at us. My husband went to work and called me and said I hope you didn't hire him. We don't want that guy working for us.

Hi- I am very sorry you had a bad experience! I will share your feedback with the your technician. The stipulation of the coupon states that the trip charge is waived only if the Angie's List coupon is used, so that is why he said the trip charge is due if the work is not completed. I hope that makes sense. If you need anything else, please give me a call. Thanks, Courtney L Randy's Electric 763-560-5600

Very courteous and professional team came out to have a look. After about an hour of checking things out, they gave me 3 options, ranging from $800 to $4500, with no guarantee it would resolve the issue (which I understood). Had cheapest option done, without solving the light flickering problem at all, verifying it solved the problem before leaving or following up later. Called another electricians for a second opinion. Within 30 minutes of them looking around, I was told to call the power company as the connections to house were corroded. This was something Randy's did not suggest (which we have a disagreement about). In addition, the estimates from my second opinion electrician was $2000 less than Randy's. I understand variance in work and cheaper doesn't always mean better. But I was quite alarmed by the variance in price. Anyway, called the power company and the issue was resolved within the hour, at no additional charge. I expressed my dissatisfaction with Randy's service manager, informing them that I felt like I was taken advantage of with the high cost estimate, not being well-versed or educated in the subject mater, as well as not being steered towards the power company... a step I would have done in a heartbeat before dropping $800 on guess work. They did try to make it right and I commend them for that. Very pleasant to talk to and very professional, but it definitely helps to get another opinion. I would not hire them again given my experience.
Description of Work: Had some flickering lights throughout the house, caused whenever too much power was being pulled. Wasn't sure what the problem was or what needed to be done. They also swapped out some light switches, which were unrelated to the lights flickering issue. Purchased an Angie's List coupon, which (unfortunately) got me committed. ($100 for $200 of work)
