Randy's Electric

1/2 the house is without power and needed someone to come out tomorrow to look at it and give me an estimate. Because 'tomorrow' was classified as too quick for them, they could do it but told me it would be a $199 "trip charge." So they were available and had time to do this but thought they should charge me for this. Horrible policy. I hung up and will go elsewhere.

Used Angie's online to request an estimate and heard from Randy's in minutes. Scheduled a time for estimate and it was within a week. Mike was on time, very knowledgeable providing answers to questions and making suggestions for improved project. Gave me two options at the end of our discussion/walk around and a firm start date. I would have hired them with confidence but another contractor was substantially under their two bids. If I have need of an electrician again, Randy's will be among the bidders.

The work was done ok, cost was MUCH more than I would have expected.

I Called them three times and left messages and they called me back once and left a voicemail a few days after the first call, and then never called back again.

Everything done by Randy's Electric for us has been high quality in all respects. They have sent the same electrician, who remembers the issues we have had with our townhome. We have had them do several jobs over the last few years and have always been satisfied.

He found an outlet that we had forgotten and it was the cause of the problem. Problem was solved.

Great team. Very professional. Gave me quote, did the first round of work. Expecting them to return. Very happy with how quickly I was able to make appointments and how fast work is being completed.

It wong great. There was a charge for being a Saturday but the cost of the fix and new light switch was good. Very professional and thorough, he answered questions and explained the work. I'd hire again.

It went great, I was very satisfied with their service. They were professional and friendly, they set up the motion sensor lights correctly and cleaned up all the boxes and debris when they were finished. We have used them in the past and will continue to do so

It was an awful experience. Electrican showed up and wanted to tour my house and look for other services he could perform in the house and proceeded to give me an over inflated estimate for things that had nothing to do with why I called them. Very disappointed that his sole reason for coming was to up sell me. I had no work done and they still charged me a trip charge of $59. His estimate for the service I needed done was $577. I called another company on my own and they performed the work for $140. Very disappointed and surprised they were on Angie’s list.

It went well. The price was quoted.

They said it would be 10X the coupon amount because of difficult wire fishing. I had a couple of other jobs to use up the coupon but I felt it was not that great of a deal. Couple hundred bucks for a motion sensor garage light fixture?

Joe, Greg & Brian all were professional and completed the required services for the upgrade as promised. Very happy with the results. We used Randy’s Electric several years ago (2015) and felt they were the one’s for this project.

The gentleman from Randy's came out and did the panel replacement quickly and efficiently. Unfortunately, the inspector failed the installation immediately due to the location of the panel. The Randy's representative said they inquired about the location of the panel with another inspector, but should have checked with the inspector assigned to our geographic location. Randy's then tried to charge us to make the repair because they failed the inspection--not fair.

Angies list had a deal for Randys Electric saying $150 to install a ceiling light or fan (reg $200). When i called them i explained very clearly what needed to be done and they asked if they could charge my card the $150 and they said there would be an additional $59 trip charge. I waited one week for my appt and when they came out they said it would be $900 to do the work because In the last couple years there has been an update for breaker boxes they now need arc default. I told them you just went from $150 to $900 because i need a $50 breaker? He said yes so i called his supervisor who was very rude and said he knewn nothing about an ad running on your site and he would have to call me back. When he called back he said there are disclosures with that ad so that is why it is $750 more than the ad says. I am extremely frustrated I am having a big party on Saturday and I really wanted this light done so I am mad that they wanted to charge me $900 just to put up a light and i am upset i had to pay $60 to get this news. False advertisement!!!!

Very professional job, with perfect adherence to electrical and safety codes. Very thorough cleanup of all the ceiling popcorn and dead insects from the lighting. Easy to work with.

The electrician and his trainee arrived within the timeframe declared. A trip charge of $49 was stated, followed by a diagnostic test of each outlet and switch in the basement at a cost of $279. After that, we would talk price to repair what they found. Because I live in a home built in 1945 and had done essentially no electrical upgrades in that part of the house, I chose to sidestep that option and go for the circuit restoration. They explained that over time as wires overheat, they break down and need replacing. Also, some wiring in a splitter box had been done incorrectly and is now repaired. They added a new circuit off the fuse box and added new circuit breakers to the downstairs circuits. The company states it sets a job price and could/would neither give me the algorithm or state how an hourly rate translates. The electrician and trainee stayed three hours and used many parts, which do-it-yourselfers could find easily. I am happy with the work done. "It" is guaranteed for "life," the house's, not mine. There is fine print about that warranty, but isn't there always? I feel safer.

Awesome job. Arrived early and finished early. Cleaned up after themselves. I will definitely hire them again.

Very well but expensive was shocked at price

Guys knew what they were doing and did a great job. The price seemed high, but I really have nothing to compare it to so it might have been competitive...

The person they sent out was very thorough in explaining things. He was good about answering questions. Overall, they were really good at communicating with email, follow-up, and explanations of what was needed and my issues.

The person I spoke to in the office was the least helpful. They said there would be a trip charge irrespective without any quote on what the range could be for the electrical work I wanted to do around some outlets. Understand there are variables, but atleast knowing what the range could be would be helpful before having an electrician come down and me incurring a cost. Definitely need to up their game on customer acquisition strategy and just put in their webpage that they cannot do quotes.
