SNEAKY BIG DEAL - I will NOT be using RANDY'S ELECTRIC in the future. ONE WORD with this big deal SCAM

I got a lot of info and the tech was very nice and helped explain things to me as we went along. The only issue i had was at the end the tech wasn't aware of the AL BIG DEAL but that was fixed up very quickly with a phone call to Randy's H.Q. So that was nice. However, the bill that he wrote up for me came to LESS THAN THE $99 i had already paid to AL for the Big Deal. That was most definitely a big deal to me and why i won't buy any more Big Deals from AL.

He went quickly through the house and signed off on no problems. We have an older home that even I know has issues. In the attic we have junction boxes without covers and the old bathroom has a light switch in the shower! He didn't say or notice anything about those.

The technicians from Randy's electric was prompt very courteous and detailed in their work. They throughly explained what the issue was and I was able to watch as they did their work. The technician also explained what he was doing as he was completing each and every task. They also recommended what was needed to correct the light from the Vanity. I was not pressured to spend more money to fix the Vanity issue now since that was not what I called them out to correct. Nowever they did provide me an estimate for the Vanity. They cleaned up the area did a final test of their work and left about an hour after they arrived. I will call them back to work on the Vanity!!

Very professional and well organized.

Electrican arrived and examined the GFI. Walked throughout the house to find other GFI devices. Pointed out what he thought might be the reason for the problem and started working. Found a couple of other small fixes which he recommended. Conducted himself very professionally, got about fixing the issues quickly and finished the work within a reasonable amount of time. When finished, asked to show me what he had done. I was very satisfied with his work and have had no electrical problems since. Would use them again in a second.

They came, they examined ,they fixed, they left.

The electrician was polite, courteous, cleaned up all the mess from the ceiling & outlet work, and was a pleasure to do business with. Highly recommend!

The electrician was very professional but my only issue was they said that I needed a new outdoor electrical post which is required by the city I live in. I had no choice but to OK that additional fee which was $550 EXTRA!!! I was pretty upset about that additional fee and then when my city inspectors came to do the final sign off of the job I asked them if it was required and they said NO!! Other than that the work performed was done well even though they came across a couple of problems that took them awhile to resolve. In the end I'm happy with the work performed but not the cost.

Professional and polite. Satisfactory work. Very expensive. Service call of $49 and fuel surcharge of $7.50 not included in the $99 coupon. I thought that this was misleading since coupon was to cover diagnostics and one eletrical issue. No mention of the hidden charges when scheduling or in the FINE PRINT section of the coupon Found out after I was given the total cost of the work. The only reason I would not use this company again is the cost and hidden charges. The rest was great.

They were very timely, considerate, and professional. I found their internal staff to be very helpful and provided great customer service as well.

They were very professional and prompt. The quality of work was very good. There were two fellas, and they were both good.

The scheduling program had a computer glitsch, so the appointment happened 2 hours after originally scheduled. They were very apologetic. They were very professional and did a great job for me. Unfortunately, considering the work took less than 2 hours, I was disappointed that I ended up paying $400, after my $200 discount. i don't know what the going rate for electricians is, but even if it is $150/hr. it still was too expensive. i had read in other reviews about the faith pitch at the end of the appointment, and i agree that this is unnecessary and uncomfortable that they mix this in with the business cards at payment before they leave.. I needed it done asap, otherwise i would have been patient and shopped around more.

I bought the coupon, sent an e-mail to schedule an time. They showed up on time. On top of changing the light switch, they looked around at our smoke detectors and basement electrical box and provided a quote for possible additional work.

I was please that they arrived when they promised and were very professional. They ran into a few complications but knew how to work around them. I was very happy with their work.

I bought a big deal coupon and used it to have the electrician install an electrical outlet in kitchen (had to run new wire, etc). Scheduling was easy, the technician showed up on time and he was polite and clean. We talked about the project and what the cost would be. Included in the initial estimate was a trip charge. I found that to be disappointing and somewhat tacky - that my $200 big deal coupon was eaten into by a trip charge. I do not think this is good business and as someone else mentioned should have been made apparent in the fine print. The work performed was high quality though and did not take but a half hour of my time and the technician let me watch and answered all my questions without getting annoyed.

Correctly diagnosed and repaired the fixture. We're happy with the result.

We had several meetings and figured out a day that they could come when we were to able to have the electricity off for 4-5 hours in the daytime.

I felt happy, but dumb for missing the circuit breaker.

The electrician for Randy's electric was named Brent. He was very polite, answered all of my questions, and was extremely professional. He worked quickly and did a great job. He was very helpful fixing the very old vent fan in the bathroom. I had a question after Brent left. He called me right back and answered it. Great work. Thank you.

Service went very well and he was able to fix problem without doing much costlier repair of replacing the whole line.

Great experience. Our initial estimate let us know exactly what work needed to be done and how long it would take (an entire day) as well as the specific price. There were no surprises and the work that was quoted and done, was exactly what we needed to bring the electrical up to code. The work did take the whole day (as expected and explained to us) and the two electricians that came out were very courteous and cleaned up after themselves nicely. Our basement is unfinished so I told them that they did not need to wear the shoe covers. I spent about 5 minutes vacuuming the stairs and the corner where the work was done, well within what I'd expect having a large job like that done in my home. Clearly, I am not an electrician, but as required by the permit process, we had to have the work inspected and it passed with flying colors, so I feel that we had quality work done. Given that we saved ~$1000 buying the Angie's List coupon, I feel like we got a decent deal and feel confident that we got quality work. I would definitely use Randy's Electric again in the future.

The electrician called when he was on way over to my house and arrived 30 minutes into the scheduled time. He asked what the issue was and then asked questions on previous work that had been done. He did a great job troubleshooting the issue, which took some work because it wasn't all the easy options?! He found that an extra wire was going down into a wall and shorting out the circuit. He put everything else back together that was taken apart. He also took some time to answer some other questions about other electrical issues as well. It all went very well and in line with what I expected based on the rating and past reviews.
