Randy's was adequate in terms of price for the service provided, but I did not feel they were as professional as I'd hoped or expected. The wiring has held up and is functional.

Very happy with most of the work. The buffet lights were disappointing because he was unable to fix them but that was more due to the design.

Unfortunately, I didn't have all of the parts in the box so that was disappointing so he hung up the light and did as much as he could. A liittle confused on the write up of the bill, though. I had purchased a $200 service for $69 and I was suppose to get $25 off due to Randy's electric running behind and I had to reschedule my appointment. I had to pay for the service call but need clarifcation on what it actually cost me to replace the light.

Sean from Randy's Electric got us off to a great start. He arrived on time, was very professional, and was very neat. My wife and I both appreciated his friendly demeanor and enjoyed talking with him. With a 4:30 appointment scheduled, we were his last appointment of the day and were supposed to be a quick, easy, pop-in-a-light-fixture and go kind of appointment. Unfortunately, as my projects often go, it was far more complicated than popping in a light fixture. Sean was very quick to realize this was a bigger project than expected. The ceiling box I wanted to put the fixture on was one I'd recently un-covered when I re-did my kitchen ceiling. I did not previously have a light in this location, though it appeared someone had. I wanted to get a light here again. Sean found that the mystery ceiling box did in fact have power going to it, but we could not anywhere find a switch the operated the box. As I'd just remodeled the ceiling, it was important to me to not do any damage to it installing wiring, but at the same time I wanted to find a way to make the light attach to a switch. Sean spent considerable time and in the end suggested 3-4 different ways to make it all work. He clearly laid out the pros and cons of each option, and since this project was now significantly beyond the scope of the original big deal, he clearly laid out the additional costs which in all cases I thought were very fair. We chose an option that would run a wire through my ceiling and hook this new fixture up to the other existing fixture and operate them both through the same switch. Sean accomplished this flawlessly. No damage to my new ceiling, both lights work, and I am very happy with the outcome. I really appreciated the professionalism Sean exhibited in both his quality of work and demeanor in working with my wife and I. He stayed for 2 hours, which was much longer than he'd planned for, and delayed going home to his wife and 3 small children to make sure he got our kitchen light working just how we wanted it. I will definitely call Randy's Electric for future wiring needs and will specifically request Sean for my projects.

Way to expensive. I purchased a coupon for "one electrical problem repair". They showed up with a chart indicated that this repair was out of the guidelines of they're repair chart. I called my electrical I usually use and he would have charged $150 less. All they did was fix and outlet in our brand new house (new 2007) and added an outlet 12 inches from an existing outlet. I could have done the work myself. After taking the morning off of work I just had him do the work. I do not recommend this contractor because their pricing is very misleading.

We chose this company based on an Angies List coupon we'd purchased ($77 for $200 in electrical work). Our electrician, David, was fabulous, professional, and amazing and did a wonderful job of explaining all of the work he was going to do, as well as options (more expensive, less expensive, easier, more difficult, etc)---- he was a joy to work with. I was, however, very disappointed in the pricing. David arrived at about 8:30am, had about a 45minute trip to HomeDepot, and was done at 11:45am. The total charge was $1201.00 (and that included David generously discounting a few things for me after the original charge was going to be almost $1,400). For three can lights, a dimmer switch, and 2 1/2 hours of labor, this seems like highway robbery. I probably will not call them in the future.

Randy's Electric was a great company to work with! I purchased on deal from Angie's list where I had a ceiling fan installed for $75.00. I called Randy's Electic and set a date when they were able to come out and install the fan. The first date we confirmed was canceled due to a bad storm where Randy' guys were needed to get power back in parts of MPLS. The second date that we confirmed worked great. Dale came out to my house and was very professional and friendly. He did a quality job while walking me though his recommendations and why he was doing what he was doing. He was not a sales guy, which I appreciated the most! When he left, he had answered all my questions and the fan looked great. I would definitely hire this company again. Dale was fantastic to work with!

It went well. They gave us a few options of all the work we needed to bring the cost down then did the work on the spot. They took care of getting the permit and came back later to put on the finishing touches. They were very good and professional. We had to book out a little longer then we wanted to but the work was done very well

We called about installing a ceiling fan in our infant’s room and they told me over the phone they couldn't give me any information over the phone without seeing the area. They were not very friendly and treated me like I didn't know anything. They were not able to install it because the setup was not correct and would have cost almost a $1000 to have it set up properly. They did install all new smoke detectors. The fee basically covered the service call and we ended up paying for all the smoke detector work. I would not hire them again and almost asked them to leave due to his attitude. We had do re-schedule with this company 2 times and one of the times they re-scheduled due to a storm and took other customers before us which I did not appreciate. We are happy that we got the smoke detectors and he did adjust out dining room light and does work fine now.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was fine. I had to pay an extra $40-$50 which I was not thrilled about. The way the deal was written, it looked like I might be able to do all of the work including putting up the ceiling fan for the price of the big deal so it was kind of a bummer that I had to pay extra and then had to install the fan myself. Everything else was fine. He was really nice and he did the work quickly. He cleaned up and he was great with my dog. They got back to me right away and scheduled me right away. The price of the deal was great but what I actually ended up paying was not great.

We originally got a quote from Randy's electric. Compared to the 2 other estimates we got it was really expensive. We were going to go with a different company and then we found the Angie's list big deal for the panel. I paid the $949 to Angies list. Then we called Randy's to schedule a time to do the work. We were upfront with them and told them we had an Angies list big deal. The lady told my husband that it would take the $2000 value of the coupon off the estimate total. This was still a higher cost than any of our estimates, but we decided to go ahead with the work. Ryan from Randy's left a message on our home answering machine to talk about our job. My husband called him more than once to get a hold of Ryan to no avail. Randy's electricians showed up on September 11 on time and did a great job with the work. They then showed me the bill and I told them I had the Angies list big deal. They did not have the authority to change the price for us to accomodate the Angies list big deal. They made mulitple phone calls while at my house to resolve the incorrect bill. They were allowed to discount the $2800 bill and were told they could take the $949 off the total. I explained that we told Randy's that we had the coupon and that by taking $949 off our bill didn't make any sense. We had already paid $949 to Angies list so this was not a savings. We were informed that we would have to talk to Cindy or Randy. After about of week of back and forth with Cindy at Randy's electric we are not any closer to a resolution. Ryan had claimed that he called us 4 times before the service call, which is unfortunaley not true. If we would have been informed before the service call that the Angie's list big deal would not work, then we would not have gone with Randy's. They are offering us $200 back which does not satisfy us. The lack of follow up with Ryan would have solved this problem and he did not follow up with us. We are not happy with this situation and feel we were mislead and overcharge. I hope you can help us resolve this.
