Whole experience was excellent. Joe came in & looked at the work. He tested all the outlets & determined 2 were not grounded & needed to be GFIs. He wrote up the estimate with my exact costs before starting the work. He did a great job explaining everything to me & cleaning up when he was done. Would definitely use them again. Had a coupon that saved me over $100 as well.

installation of all new components was neat and clean, though documenting which breakers did what was not as detailed or accurate as I would have liked, it was not too much work to map it out and create a detailed listing of where each electrical ending was controlled from.

I was totally pleased with their services. They were very accommodating; they even came out on a Saturday.

I used Randy's to replace electrical outlets and was happy with their service, so I bought the Big Deal for an electrical panel swap out. The $949 deal ended up costing $2000 by the time they were done adding all the extras on. I called other contractors and they would charge about the same, so, so much for a big deal. The work was performed satisfactorily, and the workers were nice and professional. As I've learned from "big deals", don't buy them if there is going to be extra expenses involved. I know the prices are loss leaders, but the extras are not worth the hassles.

Went very well. He was on time and courteous. Work was performed in a prompt and professional manner.

Sean called to inform me of his exact arrival time - right when it was scheduled! He covered his shoes as we went from room to room checking my list. Sean replaced an outlet in the floor of the living room, updated two kitchen outlets, and added another outlet in the bathroom. All new outlets are up to code and have reset buttons. In a back room, he disconnected an old light switch (we had put duct tape over it so kids wouldn't accidentally turn it on!) and replaced the switch and switchplate. Sean is very courteous and professional. He took time to explain to me all repairs and completed his work carefully. This is a company I would use again and I will recommend Randy's Electric to others.

Arrived early and were the ONLY contractor that I interviewed or worked with of ANY SORT that had shoe covers so as not to track whatever into the house. I do not live in a fancy home nor do I have immaculate flooring, but neither do I wear shoes past the entry. That was the first indication that they were on their game. They answered all of my questions with informative responses and offered advice that was not truncated to eliminate useful information. The only "complaint" I have/had was that I did not read the "fine print" when purchasing the inspection on line and did not note that there would be a $49 service call charge on top of the inspection fee. That aside, I remain the most impressed with this contractor when considering whom was the most professional. Add to that the gentlemen were fun, personable, and easy to talk with which probably lent to the feeling that I was being provided a "real" service and not a solicitation for further work.

Dale showed up promptly and did all of the work I needed him to do. He was a very pleasant person to deal with and reassured me about the condition of the electrical outlets in my older home. He gave me a substantial discount when he was through. (I am a senior citizen.)

I appreciated the customer service of the electrician who came out. He listened to what I wanted, consulted from his expertise, and in the end I was very pleased.

It went well. Very professional. Though the Deal really didnt apply to what was done they gave me a credit which seemed fair and reasonable. I'm very pleased.

David was on time. Looked over my requests & questions - discussed with me how he could fix them - went to work - very satisfied!

Starting with Cindy, who answered my initial call, everything went smoothly. She was very responsive to my urgent needs (detectors were chirping almost constantly) and found an opening the very next morning after doing some checking around. She called me back as promised within a short period of time, then called again first thing in the morning to let me know the approximate arrival time. She took down my schedule and alerted the tech what my time constraints were. Right on time, I received a call from the tech, Sean, who told me he'd be arriving in about 20 minutes. He arrived exactly 20 minutes later and was very professional. He put footies on over his shoes upon entering (each time) and was very knowledgeable about my existing system. He proposed an effective solution to my problem and was able to bring down the cost by not upselling me on an unnecessary solution I had dreamed up, while still covering every one of my desired results and exceeding code requirements. He was flexible to do the work right away and said it would be done within 2 hours. I had a call in to verify with my husband that we should proceed, and Sean waited patiently while we waited to hear back. Once we finally go the go-ahead, he started right away and was finished within an hour! I am very pleased with the overall professionalism and service of Randy's Electric and would definitely use them again. Cindy and Sean were both very personable and I feel that the company runs a solid business with a customer friendly attitude.

It went good. There were some extra costs related to pricing the special outlet. They were prompt and pretty straightforward. They were pretty knowledgeable it seems like. They were pretty pricey, I wasn't expecting the outlets to cost that much.

I called to schedule an appointment to have the fan installed. The receiptionis asked me where I lived, after telling her she said there would be a $50 trip charge. Because I live in a 1st ring suburb, I asked her what cities to they not charge a trip charge. She said they always charge a $50 trip charge, all cities. The big deal says they "may" charge a trip charge. If they always charge a trip charge, then why is the big deal for $75 when NOBODY will end out paying that. It should have been set up for $149.

The service provider called to say he would be late - which was nice to know. He installed the fan and light switch within 1 hour. Went smoothly. Explained a few things to us, which we appreciated. Only suggestion I would have is for their work crew to where covers over their boots/shows so not to track dirt into the house. But definitely would use them again.

The service was excellent - so good that I have asked them back to do some more work in Oct. Sorry I wish I had more time to give you the details - but time is tight.

Arrived on time and was polite. The first thing was that he immediately told me that the Angies List deal did not apply to the scope of work, and increased the price. At that point I felt stuck and agreed. He then took a look at the old chandelier and discovered that it had been attached to the ceiling and not to any support structure, and quoted me another price, to which I agreed. All of that was okay - but then he started offering all of these additional expensive services that no other electrician has ever told me that I needed, which I was exasperated by. Finally, all of his leave-behinds were full of religious writing. I am sure that these folks are sincere, but I found this obnoxious - I wanted an electrician, not a lesson on faith. I will not use these guys again.

We were extremely satisfied.

Arrived at 9:30 am (scheduled slot was 8 am to 10 am). He asked right away if i was aware of the additional $49 fee for this service call. I was informed by the person I scheduled with, but was not happy with the additional fees (was not aware of these when I purchased the deal). He stated he would be looking for any potential "electrical" hazards while he was here doing the installation. Then proceeded to look at our smoke detectors first to see what the dates were on the ones we had. He determined we had 2 that were out of date and needed replacing. I agreed with the replacement. He finally got to the business of installing the ceiling fan in the MB. He pointed out that we had a strong enough electrical box installed to handle the fan installation, but then said he was going to have to do some modifications to line things up and it would cost more. The fan was finally installed and has been working fine. I think the work done was fine. I feel the company has an agenda of getting in the door and getting as much money out of you as they can possibly get away with before you start squawking. You just had that feeling from the beginning. I have no complaints about the quality of the work done, but I highly doubt I will ever call on them again unless I want my pockets cleaned too! I felt they were a little less than prompt, as I had told my employer the appointment was 8 am to 10 am and it ended up going a lot longer. I figured I was their first appointment of the day, so I do not know why they were so late in getting there and it was not explained. they seemed to think it was fine since it was within their block of time. I think $275.00 is excessive for a ceiling fan installation and 2 smoke detectors....which to my knowledge were working fine, but he stated they were out of date. Had no idea they had a life expectancy...I felt a bit pressured to comply. Bottom line, I would look to go with someone else before calling these guys back in my home.

replaced ballast in kitchen light and transformer for doorbell. All went well and very pleased with service and results.

Great work from Randy's electical fromm beginning to end.They were great with my schedule making the appointment.Joe came out had used coupon and no trouble with it.Fixed light quicky and efficienlty and then they had a special offer for Angie list customers and did a house inspection.Price very fair, Joe very helpful with explaining what I needed to do.WIll use them again in future.Very pleased A+

very polite. got the work done that I needed was just shocked at the $49.00 trip charge. I purchased a $99.00 big deal certificate for electrical work and didn't read or didn't see that I had to pay extra for the trip charge. I guess that's the way it goes these days. I would use randy's electrical again. they were very nice and i'm happy with the work. it's done! that's the main thing.

Joe from Randy's Electric was terrific. Showed up on time, told me what he was going to do and how much it was going to cost, then did it. Very friendly and professional. And no problem with the work he did. An A+ job.
