Dave, the electrician, gave me a courtesy call to say he was on his way and arrived on time. I was immediately impressed by his considerate, professional, and patient (I had many questions and concerns) manner with me. Following his full house electrical inspection, he explained everything that needed to be done: what should be completed immediately for safety reasons, and those items that could be completed at a later time. After he finished, his clean up was so excellent that no one could have said where he had been working. I couldn't be happier. I feel confident that when I use an outlet now I won't get a shock, see sparks or cause a fire. Sparks coming from an outlet was the reason I called Randy's Electric, and Dave told me after the home inspection that there were several outlets with the potential for fire, and 4 already had evidence of fire (he showed me the burned wires on one). I am grateful to God for leading me to Randy's Electric (via Angie's List). I feel safe in my home now. I would recommend Randy's Electric to anyone needing or suspecting they need electrical work. I also recommend that you ask for Dave.
Description of Work: Home safety inspection; replaced eleven (11) outlets; installed 2 new smoke detectors and moved an existing one to bring house up to safety code; ran #4 bonded wire to water.

Electrician came on-site and analyze a situation and fixed the problem. Electrician was very knowledgeable and professional. I am very pleased with the quality of his work and was the end result. Electrician spent two hours on site. I was shocked by the invoice price though.

Randy was prompt and very professional for the estimate. He explained that added costs would be involved over the $949 deal to install the panel. When I told him it was out of my budget he understood and told me that the work, while an improvement and modernization wasn't a necessity if I wasn't having problems with the panel which I wasn't. I would consider Randy's services for perhaps another project.

Joe was the technician and did a great job. He was very nice and easy to work with. One of the things I appreciated the most was after he was done he did a good job cleaning up and putting everything back in place. After he left I had no clean up at all.

Randy's was great to work with and I will definitely use them for future services and recommend them to friends and family. They were unable to come for the first appointment I had scheduled due to several emergency calls they had that morning. Because I was understanding that these things happen and can't be controlled, they provided me with a $25 credit for the inconvenience. When the electrician came to repair/replace our fixtures, he was very polite, professional, quick and wrote up quotes for a couple other projects we may do down the road. I was pleasantly surprised to hear Randy's is a "faith based company". That makes me even more inclined to use and recommend them!

We purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for $100 for $200 worth of service. They were extremely professional and contacted me immediately to arrange a time for an appointment. They also informed me of a $50 trip fee. The quickest they could arrive was one week out. They arrived on December 11th, 2013 promptly in the AM. While apparently it states in the fine print that organizations may charge a trip fee, the Angie's List deal already was costing in excess of $100. Unfortunately, our dishwasher was down for more than a few weeks and we were getting desperate. :-) Brent contacted me the morning of and arrived on schedule. After looking over the circuitry he called and said he was unable to identify the problem. He offered to run the "Diagnostic" equipment to help identify the problem. He informed me that just running the diagnostic would cost $239! I thought this was high; however, I had little choice as I was already $150 into the issue. They were able to identify the problem and grounded the dishwasher, put in an outlet box for the dishwasher, and fixed wiring at the circuit breaker. Total bill was for $289. Due to the Angie's List Big Deal my total out of pocket cost was $189. All in all, the issue was fixed and the organization was professional/respectable. I felt pricing was high - but beggers can't be choosers.
Description of Work: Our dishwasher did not have electrical power. After running diagnostics, they grounded the dishwasher circuitry, put in an outlet box for the dishwasher, and fixed a the wiring at the circuit breaker box.

Additionally, beyond the cost advertised, there was a surprise trip fee that was not disclosed at the time of the non-refundable purchase. Overall, this was a deeply unimpressive experience. | |The person conducting the inspection was kind.
Description of Work: The whole home inspection was significantly over-sold. This is the same service provided gratis by many other companies in order to gain customers and advise those customers on what needs done. The entire home was NOT inspected, only select rooms and assumptions were made about the conditions of fixtures and outlets in those rooms. | |I learned nothing during the paid visit that I didn't learn from a gratis visit from another company. | |

It went okaywish we had know about the extent of work that needed to be done on the first visit. On the second visit I learned of the extent of the job needed but was not prepared to spend that much money at the time. I would consider having him back in the future to fininsh the job.
Description of Work: the provider worked on the job he was asked to do. for the first appointment he did not show up on time and did not give us call letting us know he would be late. he had to come back due to not being able tof inish the job and was prompt at letting us know what time he would be there.

I had tried to install a new fan/light myself and ran into trouble. I called Sunday night around 6PM and the phone was answered by a person! The lady I talked to took my information and when I checked back early Monday she had found a spot for me that day. I was back in business by noon. It was my kitchen fan/light so much needed.

Scott and Kendall were both very professional. The biggest thing for me was that they changed two light fixtures around, after I made a mistake in telling them the wrong information. I know it was inconvenient and cost them some time, but it made all the difference for me in getting the lighting right.

They seemed to have standard prices for everything. The guys were nice. They wore booties! :) They managed to revive some super old wires in one fixture so that I wouldn't have to pay to have it rewired. (Though they did say the next time that light fixture changes, it HAS TO be rewired).

It went great. I had several lights that had not been working for quite a while. I explained my problem to the lady on the phone who took my call. I asked her if she heard of this and if she thought it was fixable. She said yes and she felt confident they could fix it. Dale and Gabe came out. They were very nice, very polite. As I told them of each problem, they listened and took notes. My outside yard light, my backporch light, two of my kitchen lights, a basement light - they fixed EVERYTHING! They also fixed two light switches and out in a new outlet where there were wires not being used for anything. With the problems I had been having, I was afraid my house was going to catch fire. With each situation, they explained what the problem was and why it was happening - they assured me that my house had not been in danger of catching fire. I am SO happy, I have nice light in my house, I can see well! Before they left, we made a wish list of things I want done in the future, any questions I had of other things electrical, they answered. They told me what the things would cost, so I had a good idea of how much I want to spend and for what. They also suggest I keep an eye out for coupons for the services I want. Such a wonderful job, very nice young men, they were nice to my dogs and they are Veterans. I would recommend them to anyone and I certainly will use their services in the future. In the last few weeks I have had two other companies doing work for me, two very large and well-known companies. The service I received from the two large companies was shameful, so to have Dale and Gabe do such a wonderful job, means a lot!

The service tech arrived on time. I told him I wanted a 240V outlet installed for our range. It was a simple and straightforward job with easy access to everything from the basement. I knew that I could have done it myself (and have many times in the past) in a couple of hours and for about $100 in materials. He quoted me $199 to pull an electrical permit, plus $899 to do the work, plus $49 for a service call, less $111 for the Angie's List Big Deal discount. When he said it was going to be a thousand bucks, my jaw hit the floor. I said "No thanks," paid my $49 buyer beware fee, and sent him on his way. I then sat down at my computer and bought the electrical permit online for $40. That took about 10 minutes. I then drove out and bought everything I needed to install the circuit. That was $97. Two and a half hours later, I was done. Unbelievable...
