Randy's Electric

Project went well. There were additional costs in the "deal". Trip charge and then I still had additional due over that. I thought it was overpriced for changing out 2 light fixtures since the deal was reduced price off full work.

Jeremy was great. He was on time, fixed the original problem that I got the deal for. Since he was there I had him do a "few" other things! He had an assistant come and they were done that day. I am very happy with the results.

He had some lights already with him and started work on that project right away. It took about an afternoon and I now have 6 new recessed lights with LED lights in my kitchen now. It is much brighter and we love it. Jeremy was professional, pleasant and easy to work with. He knew his stuff well and did a wonderful job. In one of the holes he cut in the ceiling, there was insulation that had to come out and it was filled with yucky mouse poop. Jeremy cleaned all the mess out of the kitchen and when he was at Home Depot picking up another light fixture, he bought rodent poison for me and placed one container in each new hole in the ceiling just in case the critters return. He also changed an existing over the sink recessed light to match the new ones now installed. The sink one was from 1988 so it was different.

It went great, he was very knowledgeable and up front. He did not try to hard-sell anything, just said what would be a problem and what the priority should be.

Brent and Gabe came out early on the 23 of April and spent the next 11 hours working their tails off getting my issues fixed and advising me on what I need to do going forward. It was a cold and rainy day and they had to work out in that for a while but they never lost their professionalism or their sense of humor. They were respectful, thoughtful, neat/tidy workers who made a financially painful, necessary repair to my home enjoyable with their positive dispositions and humor! They helped me understand things that were way beyond me with patience and care. I can't say enough good things about these guys or this company. They responded to my initial call quickly and followed up with the work within days. Awesome! I will definitely use them again when I have the money to finish wiring my front porch and yard again. I highly recommend them!

All the services above were completed to my satisfaction. All the smoke alarms were updated in all the rooms and two of the smoke alarms were updated to a smoke alarm/carbon dioxide detectors. He give me a bid for updating all the alarms and I thought the price was a bit on the high side but I am satisfied with the work and the detectors themselves.

We moved to Maple Grove from Wisconsin last fall. Angie's List has been wonderful for meeting excellent people to help us make the home we bought, the home we envisioned when we bought it. We have had excellent service from Randy's. We have had Joe with a partner. Joe has been wonderful. We will stay with Joe for future work.

The electrician was very courteous, professional and thorough. He explained what he was doing and competently fixed all that I needed.

Dave was my service rep. He was really helpful, even changed a light bulb for me. He made sure to where shoe covers and was really clear about explaining my options. I would use him again in a second.

Had to make a hole in the ceiling because there was not a light in the ceiling. Installed the new fan and it looked great but the remote wouldn't work. Very nice young man. The $77 for $200 in services was basically a switch and bait..since my bill ended up being well over $325 for the work. Never again to use this company but it wasn't the technician's fault since he just followed the orders of his dishonest company.

Randy's Electric is a Number One Electrical Business with a very can do attitude. If you know what you want done they will get it done! I know I will be calling them again for future projects.

I was frustrated at first since I understood I needed to have the fans then found out the bathroom fans I had bought would not work without major work and expense. He did talk it through with me well though telling me he had the right size fans with him and he could install those. Since they were less expensive than the ones I had bought, he offered to keep the ones I bought himself, and then offered to install new, up to code, smoke detectors in the house to round out the trade. Turned out to be a good offer. He completed the work early and cleaned up any mess. I appreciated that he took the time to talk it through and help me understand even though I was frustrated.

I called midmorning and by noon they had been here done the work and left.Just out of nowhere the plug in for both my water heater and softener stopped working.When I called they said by 1p to 3p they would have someone here but by 11a they called and said someone was on his way.It took him awhile to trace down our wiring system but by noon it was working and he was done.Service was fast and efficient.Dave had a great personality and was efficient.Will use them again for sure.

.Two men came to do the work and were very professional throughout. I was not aware that each "item" (ceiling fan, doorbell, fixture) had a fixed cost. Had expected to be charged on an hourly rate based on the time necessary to do the work. As all of these items were very straightforward installations of standard items it seemed quite expensive to have it completed by electricians vs. basic handymen. My deal for $200 of electrical work did not go nearly as far as I had anticipated.

It went very smoothly. Two men came and they went the whole nine yards and then some. They helped to clean out a huge mess under out old dishwasher and removed it to the curbside. Which was of course, not on the list of given tasks we needed done. Price was only somewhat higher than expected but I still feel it was extremely worth it.

Would highly recommend! Sean called prior to arrival, I presented my Angie's List coupon he went over the Deal with me. We discussed the job I needed him to perform. I also had some new bathroom fixtures I needed to have installed. He gave me a reasonable price the job was completed in a couple of hours.

I purchased the Big Deal offer for some electrical work from Randy's Electric. When I made the appointment, I told the woman on the phone that I had the coupon. She said she'd tell the technician. When the technician came for the appointment, he was very friendly and performed the services requested. After the job, he calculated the final bill, but gave me a little bit of a break on a couple of the job's tasks and on the labor. I think this was in part because it was a difficult problem to figure out what was going on without adding a lot of small itemized charges and because I was lending a hand throughout the project. When the total had been calculated, I presented the coupon. He looked surprised and said he had never been told that I had a coupon and that he wouldn't have reduced a few charges on the bill if he had known that. At that point, the math was already written up and the value of the coupon wouldn't have covered the reductions he had already given to me, so the coupon went unused. To be clear, he did good work and was very polite and friendly. It seemed like it was mainly a failure of communication between their office and the technician. He told me he would honor the coupon for any future work, but I have no need for any additional work and cannot use the coupon now. Please let me know if any other information is needed.

Sean the electrician was very curtious and pleasant He did a great job. He vacumned and cleaned up afterwards . I was very satisfied

Before doing anything, the electricians discussed the height and function of the new fixture to make sure I was ok with its size. Once I decided to go ahead, they were fast and efficient and very pleasant while working. The Big Deal price was welcome, otherwise it would have cost me twice as much. Good job, Randy's!

We had requested a bigger job and changed our minds after we received the quote. The quote was not off the mark, we had greatly underestimated the costs. Randy's electric was understanding and flexible. In the end, we were both satisfied with the work complete.

They did an excellent job. I wasn't there at the time, but I did speak with them. They were very diligent, and they saw something I didn't, which ended up saving me money. They were prompt, professional and highly recommended.

Have used Randy's Electric on numerous occasions with Brent doing the work. This time Brent was not available so Sean came to do the work. We bought this house five years ago and have found that every time electrical work is done, serious issues have been uncovered. Brent and now Sean have always been able to correct the problem, bringing everything up to current code and safety guidelines. This time the fan being replaced was connected to an electrical box not designed to support a fan. Sean removed the old box with some difficulty and replaced it with the proper one. The new fan looks great and operates well. The other project involved replacing a bad electrical outlet which Sean did in a matter of minutes. It looks great and operates perfectly. I have always been impressed with the professionalism and the quality of work performed by Randy's Electric. I would recommend them to all.

Here is what happens, and I think this is a pattern for a few contracting services on A.L.. You buy what you think is a good deal coupon, well since they have a price guide that goes by the job as opposed to say time or difficulty, they add the cost on top of your coupon..in this case, 99. for 200. worth of services, well in my case it was about an hour or so of labor, since it was by the 'category' my 3 jobs came to 374.00 minus 200. I was not going to pay 174. in addition since the 3 jobs from a regular hourly electrician would have come to 174. TOTAL, or less..at least the ones I have used in the past..would have charged less..my usual guy is horrendously busy so I thought this would be a good way to save a few $$ and try out a new service.. Since I refused service I was charged 49.00 for a service call, which was not conveyed to me on the phone or via email via A.L.. I'm very disappointed in this transaction..Everyone was very polite but the cost is inflated. I inquired a year or so ago about the 949. panel exchange/upgrade from this company, had a guy come out to look, and bid out the rest of the house, (rehab)..it turned out that I would have paid approx. 1000. more had I used them, my usual guys regular price for switching out a panel is roughly 1000., and he did the rest of the house on an hourly estimate.. I will have to wait for my regular electrician to come over..lesson learned..

As always, we got great service. Joe and Joel were professional, arrived on time, and did great work!

Brian was the Guy the company sent over. He was on time and was very nice. He gave me estimates on different projects I had. I only ended up doing two things but will use them in the future.
