Randy's Electric

I contacted this company, and the interaction with this company was not what I expected after puchasing this deal, I decided to end this deal after speaking with Randy's Electric and for the additional charges.

Went very well. Electrician Jesse was fast and did a great job.

I called Randy's to come out and take a look at an electrical issue I am having. They could not come out for two weeks so I made an appointment. I stayed home from work to be here for the appointment. They never showed up, never called and did not even have me in the their systems when I called. A waste of time.

They were excellent. They did everything to code, and they did it very quickly.

Overall an excellent experience. The technicians were professional, on time, polite, friendly, efficient, and extremely competent especially with challenging situations. I did and will use this contractor in the future.

I think they did a good job. I don't know about pricing because his home was a little different so they had to do something different than what the deal called for exactly, and so there was a little additional fee. They were very good.

I bought a big deal for them. It was good. They caught me on the fine print. I had a vent switched out. They said that it won't be covered because there is a light attached to the new one. So I had to pay full price. The only thing they gave me was a credit for the coupon. They were real nice and did pretty good work. I probably would not use them again in the future, because it ended up being pretty steep price.

Everything was done according to plan. Joe was very efficient and knows his trade very well, other than the overall price being kind of a sticker shock for me, I would say the work done was very satisfactory. I would definitely recommend Randy's to any of my friends in need of electrical work.

Randy was very professional and on time. An efficient use of time and gave me some great advise.

our electrician, jesse was right on time and called in advance to confirm the appointment. we reviewed the work i needed done and the options for accomplishing it. he traced out the existing circuits which appeared to be available and reviewed the options for running the power to the outside. a longer bit was required than what he had on hand and after obtaining this to get the job done a couple of hours we had 2 motion sensor lights and a capped exterior. no muss, no fuss and a great solution to the problem at hand. i'd definitely use randy's again for future electrical work.

It went well. The lighting looks good and works great.

Our electrician was very professional and friendly. He called 30 minutes before he arrived, like promised, and arrived during the time frame they gave. He explained what he was doing and made sure we knew what would need to be fixed on our drywall before he started working on it. When we went into the basement to show him the circuit breaker, he noticed a crackling noise when we turned on the light switch. He said this could be dangerous and would highly recommend fixing it right away. He had the equipment in his car to do this. He worked quickly and did exactly what we wanted. I would definitely go with Randy's Electric again for any of our electrical needs.

The service went fine. I paid an additional fee because the work took more time than the deal allotted. I had an electrical issue in the garage. They were not able to resolve the issue but they did diagnose the problem. One technician came out and completed the job in about 2 hours. I had no problem scheduling the deal.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. There were no additional costs. They were awesome. Every time I've called them they have been just fantastic. They are very tidy and didn't get anything on my ceiling. He did crack the popcorn on the ceiling but he pointed it out to me and didn't try to hide it. I expected it because it is an old house. I was very pleased that he pointed it out instead of leaving and letting me notice later. Two of them showed up at the exact same time because they got their wires crossed. The price was great because it is usually $200 to put in a ceiling fan.

I had had problems with a section of the electricity in my kitchen. I called them and in 3 days they arrived on time. They called 45 minutes before arrival. Ken saw the problem area and immediately went into action. It took a bit of time, but he discovered that there some loose wires, one incorrectly attached wire and one malfunctioning circuit breakers in my electrical box. He tightened all of the wires, reconnected the one incorrectly attached wire and replaced the one malfunctioning circuit breaker. Through the 2 hours he at my house, he was professional and appropriate.

They arrived punctually, were very courteous, efficiently completed the job, checked with me about all details of appearance, and cleaned the floor after the work was completed

Work was fine. Prices were not based on actual time. ALL FLAT RATE AND MUCH TOO HIGH. Does $118 to install an electrical box into an existing opening ( took no more than 8 minutes to install ( I observed ) sound fair?? They did good work but the bill , in my estimation , was price gouging.

All in all this was a great experience and I'd definitely use them again. It was a little hard to schedule a time, but some of that was due to my availability as well. It ended up being about 2.5 hrs of work and now everything electrical works! YAY! I had gotten a Big Deal which really helped on the price. I didn't realize I was supposed to turn in the coupon, so when I called the next day to inquire, they adjusted the price immediately. Very pleasant experience.

Note: When I said above that I would not use this provider in the future, I wanted to click "Maybe". Here's the reason. I accidentally shorted out a circuit last Friday night. I saw a spark and then all outlets and switches on that circuit were dead. I called Randy's Electric and was told they could not come out until 8/25, but I would be on a wait list. They would charge me $49 to come to the house and then give me an estimate of the cost of repairs. So far, so good. What actually happened is they came to the house on 8/19 (earlier than expected - yay!) and told me that the charge would be $49 to come to the house and $239 to fix the problem. The $239 was a "nominal fee" according to the electrician. My objection is that the fee was not based on investigating the problem. .It was just the standard fee. When I made the appointment, they could have said "$288 to cover coming to the house and fixing the problem". Had I known that up front, I could have made a decision prior to them showing up at my door. I was expecting an actual estimate of the work based on looking at the issue. As it turned out, they fixed the problem in 10 minutes and I think the price was too high. I would have happily paid $100 + $49. $288 in total was too much for the work done. This might be standard practice among electricians, which is why I don't know if Randy's is same as or, possibly better, than the competition.

It was great. There were no issues on reaching out to them. The price was good. The subcontractor was not aware of upgrades and concerned about pricing. But there were no issues once he talked to Randy’s Electric and they stood by their prices. The same electrician came both times.

Dave with Randy's electric did a great job, was on time, and was a super nice guy. Will definitely use them again in the future.

Excellent! Sean, of Randy's Electric, found some hot wires that were behind a wall and fixed it. He looked over everything before he started the work and made recommendations, but there was never any pressure to do more than we requested. Some of the recommendations we accepted and others we will have Sean back to do.

He installed LED under cabinet lighting. They took care of everything efficiently and professionally. We were thrilled with the resulting look and workmanship. He took extra time to carefully explain everything he was doing throughout the process.

All went as planned and the house is up to current electrical code. There is now a properly sized quality electrical panel, the correct quantity of properly sized breakers installed, copper wiring, and 3 point grounding (including data and phone lines.) This did fix the quirky things that were happening - i.e. lights were dimming when vacuum was turned on. All is fine - no problems at the electrical inspection.
