The work was excellent and I plan on hiring them again. They were professional and knowledgeable. They were easy to schedule with and on time for the appointment. I have been recommending them to friends and neighbors.
Description of Work: They ground a couple of outlets that were sparking and installed a couple of outlets. I had bad electrical work done that he also checked on for me.

technician came in and diagnosed that the wrong kind of switch had been installed. He didn't have the proper switch on his truck so went to Home Depot to get the proper one. came back and installed it. After he left i noticed that the lights were flickering again. Called and tech came back, tested the transformer was not up to par so replaced that. no extra charge for second trip or replacement transformer. Would definitely call randy's electric any time I have an electrical issue and will tell all my friends to use him too.

Sean from Randy's Electric was very thorough and professional throughout. He made several phone calls to let me know arrival time. He analyzed my issues and fixed them quickly. He explained a lot about our system and made recommendations for future work--these recommendations made sense and not just typical upsell. Thanks Randy's Electric!

Certain parts of my house lost electricity one evening. I assumed a switch had tripped. No such luck. I had used Randy's Electric previously and was always happy with their work so I went on line and purchased a coupon. The next morning Jesse came out and after checking the switch box began searching outlets and fixtures for a short or loose wire. My house was built in 1932 and had some old wiring, some had been updated and some added on. Shortly he decided that he had to go into the attic (full of insulation) to figure out where the problem might be. I began to picture walls being torn apart and the price tag going into 4 digits. Jesse came out of the attic after about 1/2 hour, went directly to an outlet that had still been working and found a loose wire! I asked how he figured out that that particular working outlet was causing the problem. He tried to explain the comings and goings of my wiring which of course I did not understand but I was elated that he solved the issue in under 3 hours. I was extremely impressed with Jessie's sleuthing abilities which I am sure saved me hundred's of dollars.
Description of Work: Figured out why some areas of my house had no power and repaired it.

They couldn't fix my problem, and I was still charged all that. He replaced the transformer because he thought that was the problem, but it turned out to not being the problem. Then he said he thought there was a short in the line, but that was never fixed. They showed up three hours late. The young man that was here tried to figure out a way to get it to work, but he just couldn't figure out a way. He said, "I guess I should have checked everything before I took it all apart."

It went fine, but we have had problems with one of the outlets. It was an outlet that we were not planning to replace, but they recommended replacing. Since they replaced it we have had nothing but problems with it. Sizzling, arcing, shooting electricity. They came out to replace it and we had the same problem. We had another company come out to fix it.

Randy's team (Scott in particular) did an excellent job. I have a 1921 bungalow with old knob and tube wiring behind plaster and lath walls and ceilings. Scott came out to give an estimate, and after a good discussion with lots of questions back and forth, he presented me with a couple of different bid options. Eventually we decided to do the following: * replace/remove/truncate old knob and tube * Add 2 new 15A and one 20A run on the main floor (including home office and entertainment center) * rewire five (5) ceiling fixtures and add switches to two (2) of them * replace undersized breaker box Scott and co. were awesome. They always arrived on time, were very courteous and professional, and very tolerant of our new puppy! They put in some temp light fixtures for us until the wall painters were done, and then came back out to hang all of our fixtures, including 2 ceiling fans. I wanted to make special note of the care Scott and crew took with our plaster walls and ceilings. When doing a replacement job like this one, it is always invasive, and you will end up with holes in your walls and ceilings - there is no getting around that. Scott and team did a great job taking extra care to make sure that there was as little damage as possible. So much so to the point that the plaster repair guy commented on what a great job they did! (He then showed me some horror pictures of similar jobs, which made me that much more appreciative of the care they took in their work!) There were a few minor punch list items like there are on every job, and Scott and co. came out and dealt with them right away. They were a little high on the price range, but you definitely get what you pay for, and I would recommend them unconditionally for any work you may need.

Dan called before the appointment time and arrived right when he said he would. We explained the projects we needed help with and he spent a little time assessing the situation and then reviewed the plan and the estimate with us. We approved and he then proceeded to perform the work. He gave us regular updates and was very good at explaining the process. He finished everything the same day. Overall we had a good experience and would use this service again.
Description of Work: Assisted with several items as part of a remodeling project: 1. Moved existing flex pipe with switch (part of a demolished wall) and two circuits to a new location 2. Installed remodel bracket box for new light with new switch 3. Installed breakers for new circuits 4. Pulled the necessary permit/inspection to perform the work

The worker was very professional, punctual, competent, and pleasant. It was tough work to have the patience to fish the cord through the wall, but he persevered! The only thing I would suggest is that this company and any other electric companies include the price of their trip charges into the upfront cost listed. Since they say it is a requirement and charge everyone this trip charge, it is misleading that we see $77 in bold print but it is always really more right off the bat.

Dan arrived as scheduled and was very nice. He quickly discovered that the dimmer part of our switch was bad. He replaced the switch and hung the fixture. The outlet that was bad took a lot of time to figure out the problem. He had four outlets opened up and an an outdoor outlet as well. He confirmed the outlet was good. I informed him that the last guy that looked at it said the same thing, but the outlet would pop when we plugged something into it. He tested it again, and it seemed fine. He left and about ten minutes later I plugged my laptop onto the outlet and it popped again. I called the office,to let them know it was not fixed and Dan was back about ten minutes later. He spent over an hour getting the outlet off of the gfi that. It was connected to, and now it has worked just fine. thanks Dan for seeing the job through to the end!

It was ok. They were able to complete the work. They convinced me to add additional work on. It felt more like the the Big Deal was more of a lead in item. Their service people seem knowledgeable. They seem to have a common billing platform for time and cost for given items and it wasn't just an inflated time or cost. The work turned out well. I felt like it was good work, but once they were in the door it was more of a pressure sale.

Everything went smoothly and very well. The fellow from Randy's was very punctual, looked over the area and gave me a price -- I gave him the go ahead -- he went right to work and the job was done very well. And - he cleaned up very nicely and left the area clean and tidy! Good stuff. This is the third time I've had Randy's Electric out for various things -- really impressed with the work and the folk who do the work. I used an Angie's List coupon for $99 for $200 of labor. So the total cost to me ($99 for coupon, $79 for amount over $200) was $178.
