Steven Rutz came to my home, used his tool to check for studs, and then, upon drilling into the wall, hit a water pipe. The water poured out and caused damage to the rooms immediately below it, all the way to the basement. Rutz claimed he was insured, but, upon "checking his insurance" discovered it had lapsed months beforehand. He insisted he'd pay for damages, but after one failed payment after another, he finally stopped responding altogether. The $2400 "approximate cost of service" is the cost of the damage he did to my home.
