I proceeded to try to gather the information needed to complete the service call arrangements.
In the mean time, the customer service rep. from Brainerd Overhead Door called me back and informed me that a repair technician was in my area, and that she could send him over to look at it right away
The repair technician came within 15 minutes. He was familiar with the model, size, type of garage door and he could see that the spring needed to be replaced immediately. I asked him how much it would be and he gave me an estimate which sounded very reasonable.
He proceeded with replacing the spring on the garage door, and inspected the garage door opener for the problem. I informed him that my husband and I were contemplating installing new garage doors on the house, with windows. He informed me that he would have an estimate written up by the sales people in the office, and have them e-mail it to me. He also had them do the estimate with a couple different options, (thermal vs regular) (new garage door opener vs. repair of existing). I received the e-mail within a couple days and was happily surprised at the thoroughness and the reasonable costs.
Overall, I am extremely happy with Brainerd Overhead Door and look forward to continuing our business relationship.
