Excellent, they updated a number of outlets and a couple of switches after we did an update on our kitchen. The electrician worked carefully around the new tile work and carefully trimmed one corner to fit the new box. All came out very well and fair priced.

South Side Electric electricians are rock stars! We have used them a few times over the 23 years we have lived in our house. They are consistently professional, knowledgeable, hard-working, and pleasant to work with. We have always had a great experience with them and would recommend them to anyone highly! Even with problems that I thought would be tough to figure out were no match for these guys. Totally satisfied and impressed.

Outstanding! The work took longer than originally planned for but that's because of some of the issues that came up. Luke did an outstanding job. I don't think that I've ever been happier with a contractor of any kind for any type of work.

They did a good job because the guy that we got instead of them the first time did a horrible job. They just were professional. They came in and got it done. They stayed within their estimate. You see it in all their stuff. They are more expensive, but the other people are wretched. The quality of their service was good.

The service person, Brad, was very professional and knowledgeable. I told him that my house was sold and I needed specific changes done to satisfy the new owners. He checked every outlet in my entire home and made the necessary changes. He found some loose wiring behind an old socket that affected more than one socket. My house was built in 1950. After he was finished, he mentioned that he had to return to change the outside outlet under the eave, as he didn't have a 'brown' one in his truck. I was told that I didn't need to be home and he would just do it between jobs, as he had another appointment in the neighborhood. After he left, I noticed a light out in my ceiling light that has two light bulbs. When I went to change it, I noticed that a wire was disconnected from the base where the light bulb was screwed in. Needless to say, I needed an electrician. When Brad returned to replace the outside outlet, he looked at the ceiling light and indicated I needed to call it into the office and he needed to get a part for the light. He was able to come back in the afternoon and fix the ceiling light and I am all ready for the closing. Thank you Brad!

I had an appointment time between noon and 3 pm. Called me at 10:30 because the morning jobs were quicker than they estimated, but I could not meet them earlier. Arrived at 1:30 after giving me a call with a 1/2 hour notice. The work was completed quickly, cleaned up, everything is great. This is the third time we used them.

They are reliable. They've been around for years. They do good work. They know what they were doing. We're happy with them.

South Side Electric was originally brought in by a general contractor we hired to build our deck. They ran all the electrical for the deck and screened porch to supply deck lights, overhead lights, and outlets out there, along with the switches inside. Our house poses incredible challenges for electricians, as it is a split level rambler with little wall and attic access. The guys from South Side do a great job brainstorming ideas for how to solve these logistical challenges, and the quality of their work is excellent. Having used a number of really lackluster electricians over the years in the Twin Cities, South Side Electric is a pleasure to work with! They are responsive, considerate, and skilled at their trade, and all their electricians have been really friendly even with the challenges our house throws at them! I would recommend them to anyone!

Everything went very well. They arrived on time, stayed on the project until completed, any were careful to protect my furnishings and area rugs. The lead electrician was very experienced with residential work and rewiring older homes. I had expected that there might be problems with some parts of the project, but they were able to work right through everything. The contract was written with a maximum price for the specified work. Given that the work went smoothly, I was happy that the actual cost came in at well under the maximum. The work done passed St. Paul's inspection the first time with flying colors. The inspector let me know that he didn't approve 13 out of the 14 previous jobs that he had inspected that day. I have used South Side for almost 20 years and their work was always well done and always passed inspection the first time. South Side is a great electrical company that I can whole heartedly endorse without any reservation.

Al came and did the estimate. Very polite and punctual. Said he would email us the estimate within 24 hours, and he did. We had a concern that they would have to cut into our ceiling because the roof sloops right above the sink, but he insured us his workers would not have to do that. We had to put off the work for a few months. When I called Southside to ask if the bid was still good, they said yes it was. We scheduled the work for that week. The man who came to do the work was very nice and professional. It took a little longer than they had anticipated. They charged us for the amount of the estimate, the invoice gave te actual cost and it was more.

After calling several electrical companies South Side was the quickest to respond to our problem. It took the tech about 1/2 an hour to find the problem. A ground wire in an outlet box had come loose and shorted out. We never would have found that as it was in an area of the building that the outlet was not in use. On April 26th, the same set of lights went out again, we called South Side back and the tech was back out the next morning and found the problem to be a bad breaker in the box. All is good at this point. We will use South Side again for any electrical issues.

No, this was NOT a tripped circuit breaker! It took knowledge and intelligent work to fix. Also, business office had a smart, attentive human being answering the phone.

Southside did a great job suggesting and designing a plan for new lighting in a basement room. They placed those fixtures per my instructions. They also installed a new sub panel to accommodate the new lights and expand our electrical capacity. They were professional and easy to deal with.

The electrician was professional, friendly and efficient and he took great care insuring minimal disturbance to the finished ceiling and walls.

He came. We looked at where the power strip should go. We looked at the electrical box. I talked a bunch about a bunch of other stuff I wanted to do in the house. He detailed about the cost it would take to get more electricity in my house.

The master electrician Jake who came out was professional and very pleasant. He worked quickly to change a couple of breakers, and he got the power and other services up and running again. He was also happy to tackle a few other small jobs that were needed, changing switches, and 2 closet light fixtures. Thanks to the lady who took my call and the electrician who did the work I now have a very positive impression of South Side Electric. I would certainly use this company again and highly recommend them.

The electrician arrived on time and was able to complete the work in about half the estimated time. The final cost reflected that and that made us very happy indeed! The young man who did the work was punctual, professional, efficient and very pleasant to work with. When we need additional electrical work done we will definitely call South Side!

I have hired them several times for electric work. They come out they same day I call them and they do great. They are the only company I call for electric work.
