"We certainly would have mentioned if we broke or cracked something while on the job. Sorry to hear that it happened, obviously I don't get on this site very often as I just noticed it. It would be very difficult to crack a tile with the tool we use to remove the grout, if a previous guy was removing tile there is more of a chance he had done something then and it wasn't big enough to be seen. I wish I could remember back that far but don't recall, but it is a good reminder to me that I should take before and after pics of the showers."
Dan was extremely professional, polite and patient with us as we went through the process of getting quotes until the install of our backsplash. During the quote process, Dan made recommendations that we hadn't previously thought of or heard from other contractors as we looked to design the backsplash. This included having an edge in certain areas for finishing and installing it to counter-height behind our gas stove in case we were to purchase a lower one in the future.
After getting the quote, we had a lengthy delay in proceeding with the project. This delay was entirely on us as we were trying to decide if we wanted to install under-cabinet lighting prior to the backsplash. Throughout our delay, Dan would check in every so often and never responded as if he was inconvenienced by our delay. We had already told him that we wanted him to install our backsplash.
Once we finally decided to move forward, Dan was responsive on getting dates set up for the installation. I was able to choose from many grout color options to find one that looked great with our tile. The backsplash was initially installed on the first day and they came back the next day to grout and finish, etc. During both days Dan and his associate kept the area clean, were polite and kept cognizant of the fact that we were working from our home. The finished product looks great, the recommendations that Dan made really finished off the space well. I will look to Dan and Rapid Regrout for my future tiling and grouting needs. Great work!
"WE had taken care of their repairs to their approval and have given the portion of the money back for the bathroom floor where she was having the issues. There was miscommunication, but we certainly took the grout out prior to doing the regrout. House was built in the 40s, so had very tight grout joints. And as far as 70% of the sealant being gone, it is a clear liquid that soaks into the grout so I don't know how you would be able to assess that..."
I messaged and texted bath and forth with Dan. He asked me to send him some pictures of the walls and floor of the shower. Once he had a chance to look at the pictures, he gave me a quote. He arrived the first day and was right on time. Dan is a very nice guy, and very thorough. He explained everything. After looking the shower stall it was clear that his bid had been right on, the walls and the floor needed to be done. He spent the first day removing all of the old grout, and caulk. He also regrouted the walls. He came back the second day to put epoxy grout on the floor and seal the walls. On the third morning, Monday, he came back to double check a couple of spots that were holding some moisture. Over the weekend they had dried up and he sealed the wall grout. The shower stall is beautiful, he did a great job. In addition, he was neat as a pin, left everything immaculate. He even removed the cover of our ceiling fan and cleaned off the dust. I vacuumed it out and he replaced the cover the next day.
I would highly recommend Dan and his work. You couldn't ask for a nicer guy to do work in your home, and best of all, he knows what he is doing!
