March 8, 2019 Dear Mail Carrier Thank you for your service and your patience this winter. The record snowfall, unreliable snow service, my disability and my spouse’s health problems have compounded the problem. I have always scanned and forwarded the post office’s mailbox snow removal guidelines you have left in our mailbox to our snow removal vendor. Saturday, March 2, 2019 I emailed the scan with a photograph of the problem to the vendor, since their office was closed and I had no other ability to contact the Vendor. On Monday, March 4, 2019, I reached the office secretary at 9:00 AM, who assured me that the mailbox area would be cleared. On Tuesday, March 5, 2019, I again reached the office secretary at 9:00 AM, who assured me that the mailbox area would be cleared. On Wednesday , March 6, 2019, I again reached the office secretary at 9:00 AM, I asked to to speak with her boss (who was not available). She again assured me that the mailbox area would be cleared. My wife also called and left a loud message on their answering machine. On Thursday, March 7, 2019, I again reached the office secretary at 9:00 AM, I asked to speak with her boss (who was not available). Again she had words of reassurance. I called again every hour after that to complain. I guess they finally got the message that I would continue to call every hour until the problem was addressed, because they finally came to clean up the snow around the mailbox on Thursday, March 7, 2019. Needless to say, we are getting a different vendor next year and I will write to the BBB about this vendor. Again thank you for your service.. Sincerely,
