I had some wind damage from a storm. Phil met with my insurance adjuster at the house and they went over everything. Wright at Home sent out workers to tarp the exposed area of my house until it could be fixed. Aaron, came out a few days later and went over material choices with me. He was very knowledgable and patient. The work was performed in quick order. All my neighbors commented on how quick the work was done and what a beautiful job Wright at Home did. 2 neighbors asked that I have Wright at Home contact them for work they needed done, based on how smoothly they saw things get done at my house and how wonderful my house looks after Wright at Home was finished. It was wicked hot a couple days that work was done on my house and on they worked. It was amazing to see the skill level and professionalism dedicated to re-roofing and re-siding my home.
Description of Work: They tore off the existing shingles on the house and garage and replaced them. They tore off the existing siding and replaced it.

Very efficient - was able to get the house done in almost one day despite some morning rain. Came back the next day to finish the job. They didn't catch all the nails/shingle debris, but we've got tough landscaping around our place. Very responsive customer sales. Not the cheapest, but was able to provide the most extensive warranty.

I picked Wright-at-home mostly because the overwhelming positive review on Angie's list. Certainly, they are not the cheapest, and I was not looking for the cheapest deal around. You do get what you paid for. Overall, I am very satisfied. They get an excellent job removing the old roof, install the new roof with care, and remove trash and nails that are left on the ground. No flower is step over and nothing is broken, They even help me put on dish antenna mount.

Wright-at-Home has built itself into a 'brand name'.Estimate included replacing roof decking on porch. The materials were delivered but the roofers said the house did not need new decking on porch! Saved us money by being honest.Services performed included a quality control inspection at the end.The company's owners felt the job did not pass their own quality control and took responsibility that the estimate did not address some issues that came up. Final roof and detailing of adjacent siding was performed at the highest level.I was incredibly impressed that Wright at Home was more interested in doing a perfect job than 'moving on' to the next job!I rarely ever write reviews but I can attest that this is an excellent company to work with.

Phil was great to work with and dealt with my insurer, Liberty Mutual, to get the roof fixed. Phil was punctual and responded quickly to all my questions. The crew was done on the house and attached garage in a day--arriving as-scheduled in the morning. When I got home from work, the roof was done, and I could barely tell they were even there! They cleaned up very well and covered my plants and other items with protective tarps. They cleaned out my gutters, too. I did notice a bad shingle, that they fixed the very same day I called it in. The whole office staff was EXCELLENT, and the company President contacted me about getting the roof fixed for the bad shingle. The Project Manager, Nick, was very responsive and knew what he was doing--VERY professional. WAHS is probably the best contractor I've worked with. Definitely would hire again for future work.

Even though our home is only 9 yrs old, the original roof was very deteriorated and had to be replaced. Last fall, Addison came out promptly and gave us an estimate and choice of materials. We were able to wait until spring to have the work done, partially because Wright at Home did a minimal, temporary fix on a particularly bad area at our request and at no charge. We really appreciated their efforts. When we did have the work done, they were very efficient and careful and managed to complete the entire job in one day. We are very satisfied and would certainly use them again.

We noticed this spring when the snow melted that there were a couple pieces of shingles laying in the yard. After walking around the house from a distance we could see on the far upper NW corner of the house approximately three shingles with damage (torn or folded). After reading some reviews on Angie's List I called Wright-At-Home because of their high reviews and proximity to our home. Addison came out and verified that there was indeed wind damage on the one slope. At that time I submitted a claim with the insurance company. Addison met the adjuster at the house and between them they didn't find any other damage to the roof. The adjuster called a few days later saying they would replace the one slope and they believed they found a 3 tab match. The old Certainteed that was on the roof was no longer made and in fact it was part of a class action lawsuit against Certainteed because of its poor quality. Addison didn't believe the match they found was adequate and we again had the insurance adjuster out to show them why we believed it was not a match by using a sample board and laying it next to the other shingles on the roof. Unfortunately their response was for us to replace the slope and if its determined at that time to be a "gross" mismatch they'll do the remainder of the roof. With little faith in the insurance company (I didn't believe they would determine it a "gross" mismatch) I decided to replace the whole roof as it was already 12 years old and we could tell the south facing slopes were showing the wear of cheaply made shingles. Addison provided an estimate for the entire roof with three different shingle options. I then gathered two other estimates and Wright-At-Home was the cheapest. We gave Wright-At-Home the down payment and within a week our roof was scheduled for replacement. The day of the roofing job the crew was at our home just before 7am. After laying tarp around the house over bushes and decking they went to work. By 9am they had the roof almost completely stripped. At that time the supplies for the new roof showed up and the dumpster. The job went very smooth. By 4pm they were almost completely cleaned up and by 5pm they were gone and a new roof was in place. The positives are many. Addison was a great help working with us through the process and didn't pressure us to replace the entire roof when he knew the insurance company wasn't going to. Jericha was very quick to get us scheduled and responsive when contacted. Nick made sure everything went smooth the day of the job. The only negatives were the crew that did the work could've cleaned up their cigarette butts and half drank soda and empty snack wrappers better.

I garden extensively, and they were very careful about not damaging the plants. They even came back and power washed my deck and handicapped ramp for me. I have only had one other roofing experience, and that was a disaster. In comparison to that, I would give Wright At Home an overall A. The pricing was what the insurance company allowed for. A leak developed, and there was a delay in getting it repaired. The owner came out himself, to take care of the problem.

The experience was good from beginning to end. Addison met with us and explained our roofing options and thoroughly answered our questions regarding materials, workmanship and many technical aspects of the project. The crew arrived on schedule and worked steadily for 11 hours to complete the project in one day. The crew worked hard and did an excellent job. Everyone was polite and easy to deal with. They protected our shrubs and stonework and left our yard exceptionally clean. Even the company that came for the dumpster the next day swept up any dirt that had fallen through to the street. We were very pleased with their service. At the conclusion of the roofing project, we discovered rust on a drip cap and asked that it be replaced. They did this additional work within a few days for a reasonable fee.

In mid-May, a hailstorm came through Eagan and punched a hole through a vent cap in my roof. I called another roofing company on Angie's List, and they said that they didn't do repairs, just full roof replacements. I then called Wright-At-Home, and I was told that they could do a repair on my vent cap, and said that Phil K. would be able to come out and take a look. Phil came a day or two later and climbed up on my roof, and acknowleged that the vent was damaged. He also said that the gutter toppers, the gutter downspouts, many shingles, and the deck we all also damaged. He said that this could run about $20,000, so I should get my insurance adjuster out there. He asked for me to let him know when the adjuster came so he could come out and show the adjuster what he saw. So far, I was impressed by Phil and this company. A few days after Phil and the adjuster inspected the damages, Phil called and asked for my to call him once I got the estimate so he could get the job rolling. When I got the estimate and told Phil that it was $2000 (including my $1000 deductible), he said "Oh." and I could hear the disappointment in his voice that it wasn't a big job like he thought it would be. He asked me to fax him the adjuster's estimate, which I did. Since I have never filed a homeowner's insurance claim before, I didn't think about it, but in retrospect, it seems kind of shady that the contractor would want to know how much the insurance company is willing to pay. Like a previous reviewer had written, I wonder if the repair charges would have been the same amount as the insurance check. Really, Wright-At-Home should have given me an estimate so I could see if I could find any better deals. After not hearing back from Phil for about a week or so after sending him the estimate, I called to see what we were waiting for to get the job started. Phil told me that there was no cost for replacement shingles on the estimate, so he said that he had a call in to the adjuster to find out how much the insurance company was going to pay for shingles. He also said that he would call back as soon as he heard from the adjuster, which he said would be two or three days later. A week later, I still hadn't heard from Phil, so I called the adjuster. First off, the adjuster said that I shouldn't have to be calling about the claim- that should be between the contractor and the insurance company. That tells me that Phil wasn't being honest with me when he told me that he called the adjuster. When I asked about the shingles, the adjuster said that there was no money on the estimate for shingles because he said "a skilled tradesman can replace the vent cap without damaging the shingles." It has been three weeks since I last heard anything from Phil or anybody else at Wright-At-Home. From what I can tell, once they found out that it wasn't going to be a full roof replacement, my business wasn't worth their time. I feel that I was strung along and jerked around by Wright-At-Home Services. It's been over two months since my roof has been damaged and it still isn't fixed. If I hadn't wasted my time with Wright-At-Home, I'm sure that it would be fixed by now.
Description of Work: It was supposed to be a simple roof vent replacement.

I can only say I am sorry for the lack of communication of your repair. But to say we are shady is not true, we work off of insurance claims all the time and there is nothing shady about that. For your adjuster to say it is our job to communicate with the insurance company is also not true, the fact of the matter is some insurance companies will not speak to the contractors on the insured's behalf. Our company has done more repairs than any other contractor in this business, it could have been a simple oversight on Phil's part, for that we apologize. In light of the situation we will come and replace the vent free of charge if you would like. Please call me and I will be more than happy to speak to you.

Thank you, Thank you! I have anguished over the prior report since the day it was posted. I have called and sent a letter of apology to the member with no response. We take ALL of our customers and reviews very seriously and we appreciate each and every one of you. Thank you for making my day! And most importantly thank you for your continued business.
Our project started with needing to replace our 20 year old windows. We decided early on to go with Anderson Renewal. Later, we also determined that also replacing the siding can often yield a better window installation. So, we needed to find a siding contractor. We talked to neighbors, looked at Angie's list and BBB. We received quotes from 3 contractors. We were very impressed with Levi Anderson with Wright-at-Home Services from the beginning. He had a lot of design ideas, was very professional and personable and extremely knowledgeable with siding, stone, gutters, house wrap and design. He was also very helpful to coordinate their work with the window company. We had our some ideas of the look we were after. But, Levi with Wright at Home had so many more that really enhanced our final result. We will likely spend the rest of our life in this house. So, we wanted quality work and a professional result. Wright at Home delivered.....on time and on budget. They were very responsive throughout the process to answer our questions and return our calls immediately. The installation crew was also very helpful, professional and did a quality job. They kept the site clean and were flexible if we changed our mind along the way. The end result far exceeded our expectations. I would use Wright At Home Services again in a second. Thanks!
Description of Work: Removal of old Masonite siding, installation of house wrap, installation of new Norandex vinyl siding, aluminum facia and soffet, new gutters, new front entry stone/wood post.

This company was awful. Initially, they were good to work with, but once the work was done, the price increased $2,000 from the original estimate. Also, they wanted to see my insurance claim before giving me an estimate, and the estimate was exactly the amount of my insurance claim. They didn’t even call or let me know of this price increase until I got the bill. After arguing back and forth, he dropped the price only $1,000. Also, I had another company come out to fix a portion of the roof, and they let me know that the work wasn’t done like it should’ve been. I just was very disappointed overall.

This report came as a surprise to us. I will be doing some research on this. We did the job in 2007. It is very disappointing to receive a report like this from so many years ago and with no phone calls made to address the issues. I do have a signed contract by this member agreeing to do the work per the insurance adjustment. So, I am not sure where the problem lies with this member. We have emails to this member explaining what Mike had proposed to do. They upgraded from a three tab to a 30 year shingle. Added three extra rows of ice and water shield on the back of the garage where there was issues with ice dams. Mike clearly spelling out everything we would do and that we were doing the job per the insurance adjustment. This is standard procedure when there is a insurance claim. If we did not do something correct, we were not made aware of it until now. Unless time has faded the memories of this job. But, I believe we would have taken extreme action to get this person satisfied. But, we cannot address concerns when we are not made aware of them until 5 years after the fact. I do apologize for any misunderstanding between us and this member but, a phone call could have maybe prevented this from happening. We would also want to be made aware of anything we did wrong on that roof and would welcome a meeting between the other contractor who claims we did the work incorrectly. Please read on to our several reviews and it will be apparent this is not the way we operate our company. Again please accept our apology for any misunderstanding. Thank you. I left a voice mail and wrote a letter to the member. To date I have not received a response from this member.

In the spring we had a water spot on the kitchen ceiling and Bob was out the next day to reseal the vent above the spot, and when we were sure the vent was sealed he came back and painted the ceiling. I was impressed with Addison from Wright at Home. Working closely with our insurance company, he took the burden away from us by being the liason between us and the insurance company. He got his quote to me when he said he would and then came and reviewed it with me line by line as we decided to go ahead with the project. He brought samples of the new roof so we could make sure we had the right color. He clearly communicated the work to be completed. When we chose the date of the removal/install, they were there! Their crew was amazing. This was a larger roof- nearly 50 squares and at a 9/12 pitch or greater. The crew worked constantly, being carefull as they went and picked up their mess. When they were complete, we had a beautiful new roof and no damage to the land scaping, windows or sides of the house. The area did not even look like they had been there! They had 11 crew members and a supervisor-- and they knew how to remove and install a new roof. This company also did some gutter work for us as part of the repair. Again it was done as they promised and within budget. Wright at Home was extreamly professional and fair. I would recommend them to anyone considering a new roof. I wish all my contractors (on this project) had the professionalism and ethics that this company exhibits. Roxanne worked with me to resolve the payments from the insurance company. I can't say enough about their attention to detail and assistance they gave me on this large project. They did what they said they would do on a timely basis. Great Experience.

After a few days of heavy rain, we noticed our young children's bedroom smelled of wet wood, although we couldn't see any evidence of water damage on the ceiling. I thought we should call a roofing company to look for a leak on our roof and potentially fix it. My husband was sure if we called a roofing company, they would try to sell us a new roof whether we needed one or not, so he thought we should call a home inspector. I won this debate and called Wright-At-Home Services. Roxanne was very concerned about the potential problem, and we made an appointment for Bob Wright to look at our roof on the first day that was forecast to be dry. Our roof is about ten years old, and Bob said it looked in good shape overall and we definitely did not need a new roof. He then looked it over very carefully and found that the collar on the furnace stack was not quite in the right place, which was allowing a small amount of water to come in to our attic if it rained. He also looked over the rest of the roof and caulked and nailed in several spots. When he was done, I asked what I owed him, and he said I didn't owe him anything. We had more heavy rain in the days that followed--and no smell of wet wood--which was a big relief. When we do need a new roof, we will certainly call Wright-At-Home, as these people are REALLY NICE AND OBVIOUSLY HONEST!!!
