Wright at Home Roofing & Exteriors

Every phase of the project exceeded our expectations. Beginning with the very detailed, itemized proposal which pointed out a number of errors and omissions in the adjuster's report, with the provider directly intervening on our behalf with the adjuster to maximize the coverage of our policy. The provider also provided sound advice, guidance and options on upgrades including GAF Timberline High Definition shingles, new GAF Snow Country Ridge Runner Ventilation System, new GAF Liberty low slope self adhering roofing membrane on both low slope areas and upgraded W.R. Grace Ice & Water Shield. To our pleasant surprise, the upgrade cost of $500. for the Timberline High Definition shingles was covered by the Angie's List discount. The work was scheduled and completed in a very timely fashion with excellent ongoing communication throughout the process. During the project the crew was supervised by Bob Wright, a roofing professional with many years of experience, and a member of this family owned business. All crew members were very focused on the work and were very respectful of our property including tarp coverage of our landscaping and shrubs. At the conclusion of the roofing the crew did a thorough clean-up of all debris including a magnetic nail sweeping of our yard and neighbor's adjacent yard, as well as included gutter/downspout cleaning. The work was performed at the family residence where I was raised and my brother currently resides.

Where to start? Phil and my insurance adjuster worked smoothly as a team to ensure that the estimate was thorough and that the repairs would involve quality materials that would stand the test of time and the elements. I was only home for day 1 of the work - roofing day. The roofing crew worked quickly and smoothly, and it was amazing to watch how nonchalantly they skittered around my 45° roof pitch! By the end of the day I had a beautiful new roof! I was out of town for the rest of the week, but Aaron and Phil kept in great touch, updating me on the work that was being done daily. They were delayed a bit by rain, but when I returned, the siding was 90% completed and looked fantastic! The crew came back the next day and finished the siding as well as the window wrapping. The gutter crew followed a few days later (again delayed by rain). The end result was a gorgeous house! They made my 100-year-old house look like new!! Everyone's work is impeccable! They took great care with the smallest of details, like framing around my outdoor faucet. It's obvious they take great pride in their work, and don't just "get the job done" as quickly as possible. I was also extremely impressed by the quality of their cleanup -- they put down tarps to catch the debris from the old material tear-off, and they carry the rolled-up tarps directly to the rented dumpster to minimize any debris ending up in landscaping or the grass; what does, they carefully and thoroughly remove! They had a magnet on a roller to catch any roofing or siding nails that were hiding in the grass, but even after using that, they gave the grass a second pass with a rake! This project was Job 1 that Wright-At-Home completed for me, and I was 110% satisfied!! Job 2 followed all-too-soon...THREE DAYS after the gutter crew had hung the beautiful new guttering - the final touch in this major exterior "overhaul" - North Mpls was hit by severe thunderstorms. During one bout, a large, unhealthy silver maple tree in my neighbor's backyard came crashing down...on my house. I was lucky in that the lion's share of the tree fell between my house and my neighbor's, but a large portion did land ON my house and scrape down the north side. It smashed off the eaves, a small limb punctured the sloped roof and came through my bedroom closet, the force of the tree's impact left a hole in the exterior wall outside my kitchen (and knocked a cupboard loose!) and a large limb broke off on the peak of the house and slid down the south side of the roof. A second section of the tree fell between my house and garage, ripping the electrical mast away from the house, and tearing a hole in my back porch roof in the process. After calling my insurance agency, Wright-At-Home was my second call! They were all a little dumbstruck that this happened - also incredibly sympathetic! - but assured me that they would make everything "look like new" again! I had to leave town for work the same day as the storm damage, was back home for one day, and then had to travel for a family emergency. During that time, my neighbor and I were lucky enough to get the tree removed within 5 days (more than 2,000 went down in the metro over that weekend, so tree companies were VERY busy!), and Aaron came by as soon as the tree was gone to tarp the roof. The damage was complicated and the estimate took several weeks to compile due to the number of bids involved for the various repairs (chimney, roof, siding, electrical, fence). Phil and Aaron were again in regular contact, keeping me apprised of the progress. Finally, we got a green light! The chimney crew came two weeks ago and did a stellar job! The roofing crew was here last week, and once again left me with a shiny, new roof. The siding crew was here yesterday (working in oppressively high heat and humidity!), and their repairs were so precise that you would never know there had been any damage! The gutter crew and fence crew will arrive in the next day or so to complete their work, and the interior repairs (closet and kitchen) will be taken care of next week. I have complete and total faith that these various teams will provide the highest quality of workmanship and cleanup! I would expect nothing less from Wright-At-Home. Roxanne has been fantastic in dealing with the paperwork, a very complicated process as my mortgage company got their hand in it and all the funds had to be channeled through them. This involved several delays in payment. She has been both patient and persistent in following up with the necessary forms and verification, and staying in good touch with me. I will enthusiastically recommend Wright-At-Home to anyone who needs the services they provide! I cannot say enough good things about the quality of the work or the quality of the people, and BOTH are important!! This company is the Real Deal. (NOTE: The $1,000 "approx. cost" that I listed reflects my homeowner's insurance deductible, NOT the actual cost of the repairs!)

The man who came out to the house to do the initial inspection was nice enough, but despite a scheduled appointment to come back when the insurance adjuster came to do his inspection THEY DID NOT SHOW UP. I had to argue the damage with the insurance adjuster myself and that is exactly what I did not want to do. I even called the morning of the appointment to confirm that wright-at-home inspector would be at my home and they assured me that I was on the schedule. Why hire a company that does not show up when scheduled?

Very thorough and professional inspection and repair of possible leak areas. Bob Wright is a very ethical and high quality person, a real pleasure to do business with him.

I was in a quandry trying to find someone who would do exterior work on my house. I'd already paid to have the insulation removed and had learned that the work I needed done was exterior as opposed to interior work. I had called another service provider to view the work the previous Friday. After not getting a call back, I called Wright-At-Home Services on Monday. Aaron Parenteau answered the phone. I told Aaron I needed help; that my problem was an exterior, not interior problem. Aaron was interested and showed-up within the hour to view my water problem. He was able to advise me on what needed to be done; that the project would take 1 day. Thursday, 8/1/2013 was the agreed-upon work day. He came back on Tuesday and took measurements in order to purchase the needed products to do the work. On Thursday, August 1st he showed-up at 8 a.m. with a crew of two people. The crew worked from 8 a.m. until the task was completed at 3 p.m. The crew clean-up the work site before leaving. I was both pleased and impressed with the quality of the work. I will be needed a new patio door and I'll be using Wright-At-Home for that work too.

Called to have someone look at a leak in the roof, as well as check the lack of flashing and inspect the intrire roof to make sure it is in good condition. Also to get a estimate on gutters. The lady I spoke to on the phone told me that they won't install gutters unless they are putting on a new roof at the same time. Then she said that they would be 3-4 weeks out just to come and look at my roof. And that I may want to find someone else if I don't want to wait that long. The entire conversation felt like they wanted nothing to do with my estimate because I was not interested in putting on a new roof and that it was "just a repair"

I will recommend this company and will call them when the time comes to replace my roof.

Very satisfied will the work, everyone was very responsive, took a bit longer than expected and made sure you know exactly what will be done and what won't.

I contacted the company by email and received a response from Roxanne promptly to set up an appointment. We set up an appointment with Mike to come out 2 days later. Mike was prompt for the appointment, friendly and answered all my questions. He took time to get up on the roof and assess the condition of the roof, as I didn't know. I only knew the approximate age of the roof. When he came down and he let me know my roof probably had 5-7 more years of life left, so didn't need replacement at this time. It is nice to know there are honest business people out there. Mike did not rush out knowing he didn't have a job, but stayed and answered my questions. I highly recommend! Thanks Mike!

I called Wright-at-Home because of water damage in the ceiling above my staircase. Although Bob was very busy with all of the recent storm damage, Roxanne fit me into the schedule. Bob arrived early, after calling to make sure that was OK with me. He climbed onto my very steep roof to check for a leak and discovered the problem was not the roof, but a missing cedar shingle on an exterior wall. Bob patched the hole created by the missing shingle and refused any payment. I really appreciate that Roxanne and Bob were willing to take time away from big jobs to help me out. I highly recommend Wright-at-Home!

They are an excellent company. Since it is small and family owned when they are on the site they have a project manager and they make sure that the work is being done right. They are a good crew. The work is being done by the Mexicans. They have a good Mexican crew who did it.

It went well. They worked with the insurance company. They did everything they said they would do in a timely fashion.

The job went without a hitch. Everything went smoothly from the bid, to the tear off, to the new roof. This company is very ethical and there were no hidden surprises. Everyone I worked with was responsive to my needs and honest. The new roof is beautiful! They do a quality job! Attention to detail was especially appreciated. I am now awaiting my Excel rebate.

They did everything they said they'd do. They had good follow-up. Things were done right. Addison was the gentleman who I worked with directly. Addison came out and thoroughly explained all of my options, the crew was out on time, and cleaned up everything. I mean everything. Except for the new roof, you could not tell they had been there. It has rained the last couple of days, no leaks, no issues. I will use them again.

This contractor did a great job. The roofers worked very hard into the early evening and did a wonder job. There cleanup was good, but not great because they cleaned up in the evening in 't the dark with work lights. The estimator made a mistake on the estimate, but worked with the insurance company to paid for the increased costs. The sub contractor that they used was late in installing the gutters, but the work they completed was good. Overall the work was well done and the house looks great.

I could not be happier or more satisfied with the work performed by Wright-at-Home. I solicited multiple quotes; WrightAtHome was one of the few which did not offer me a "discount/deal." It went strictly according to the law and the terms of my insurance policy. However, it helped me deal with my insurance company - State Farm - and multiple adjusters. WrightAtHome is thoroughly professional from its top executives, to its hands-on managers on-site, to its courageous roofers (my roof is steep and over 3 stories in height). The executives always returned calls and communicated with me. The project managers actually managed the projects daily and did not abandoned my house a "crew chief." The crew chief and all employees were diligent, courteous, and policed my grounds to pick up debris, nails, etc. each day! There is more--- since completion of my project, I have referred many friends to WrightAtHome. But beyond that, I have received invaluable advise from WrightAtHome when I have called to ask questions regarding everything from shingle life (for other properties I own) to ice dam removal. WrightAtHome treats you as a valued customer for life, not just for the life of your project. Bob was very good to work with. He was there early, listened to my concerns and what I needed done. He fixed the items in short order and I was on my way before I knew it. I now have a roofing guy to contact next time I need one.

My experience with Wright-At-Home Services was 100% positive from my first contact with them through the completion of the project for which they were contracted ? the removal of the old roof on my house and the installation of a new roof. Within two days of my initial phone call to Roxanne, I met with Addison, one of their sales consultants. I had done some prior research on such things as the best types of shingles, proper ice-dam protection, and attic venting alternatives. I had also had a new roof put on a family cabin about two years ago and had a good idea of what an appropriate bid should be for this project. When Addison sat down with me he proceeded, unprompted, to address in a very thorough manner each of the topics I had researched. After doing an inspection of the roof (during which he discovered the absence of a gutter apron, which accounted for some unexplained dripping I had observed), he wrote up a detailed proposal that included a bid that was right on target from what I had expected. I made the decision that same day to have Wright-At-Home Services do the work. Six days later (taking advantage of a small window of warm weather) they were ready to start the one-day installation. Nick, the on-site project manager, arrived with his crew at 7:30 a.m. and reviewed with me all that would be done. He was available throughout the day to keep me informed about the progress of the work and to answer any questions. When the crew found a small, rotted section of roof boards, he showed this to me and went to purchase lumber to replace them. (I had been advised in advance by Addison that, if such a problem were discovered, that could add to the cost. The total additional charge for replacing the boards was $150.00.) The crew finished their work by 3:30 p.m., including a meticulous clean-up of the entire worksite. Since there was a small amount of snow remaining in our yard, Nick said they would come back once the snow melted to make sure they hadn?t missed anything. But when the snow melted, there was not a single piece of construction debris to be found. Prior to beginning the work Nick obtained the necessary permit from the city to be posted at the worksite and once the work was completed, he set up a date for the city inspector to sign off on the project. I was very pleased with the look and quality of our new roof and the professional manner in which it was installed. I would have no hesitation in hiring Wright-At-Home Services for similar work in the future.
