Wright at Home Roofing & Exteriors

It went very well. Bob, the owner, first came to my house in January when I had a leak in my roof from some ice buildup. Nothing could be done at the time, but Bob came to look at it, and gave me some good advice (fill nylons with salt and place them in the valleys to prevent ice buildup) to prevent more leaking until the spring. He didn't charge me anything for coming out to look at it in January. I called him back in the spring to see about repairing the roof. Given the age of the roof, I decided to replace it rather than repair it. Bob gave me a very detailed estimate and explained what would be done around the problem area to bullet-proof it against leaks. He was very responsive. I choose this company to do the work even though they had the highest estimate of the 3 contractors I contacted for an estimate. In the end, it was worth my peace of mind. The roof looks great. They did a really nice job in cleaning up afterwards; except for the new roof, I wouldn't have known they were here.

Bob came out and immediately pointed out some minor roof issues which he was able to correct.

Addison had inspected my roof after the hail storm last August and found no real damage. He again came out and re-inspected the roofs (house and detached garage) thoroughly and took photos, which he showed me, and again said there was no real damage other than edges of shingles on the garage that the squirrels have worked up from the edge. The roofer, that is using scare tactics, is HomeSure, Inc., St. Anthony. Even though there is a note on Angie's List, that they want to be removed from Angie's List, they are still using Angie's List logo on their business cards. My neighbor has only had the Tyvek covering on his roof and bundles of shingles on the ground for over a week now.

It went great. Addison worked with us on getting an estimate together. He was very knowledgable and friendly. Went over what would occur in detail so there were no questions. He helped us with the decisions when we needed more information. The crew was very efficient. They got straight to work and had the entire roof done in one day. We are having a graduation party and I was concerned about having debris surfacing around the yard. They did a fabulous job of cleaning up. I have spent quite a bit of time out in the gardens and have yet to find a single nail or piece of debris. They were great to work with and I would not hesitate to use them again.

How'd it go? We want all the details. The entire job went beautifully ... From the sales presentation to the final inspection we were extremely pleased. Everyone involved in the processes was respectful and courteous. The workers were highly skilled, prompt, and detail oriented. The project managers kept us informed every step along the way. We have received a large number of favorable comments about the looks of our home from neighbors and passers by. And, most importantly, WE LOVE IT!

Bob came as scheduled; called before he arrived. Really nice guy! He patched the leak that concerned me and did not charge me because it was a small leak, and he said he could not be sure he found the right spot. I have a cedar shake roof which he said is not his area of expertise so he suggested I call a shake expert to have the roof cleaned. Great guy; super service; so honest!

The responded to my request for an estimate quickly and Mark spent a lot of time going over the estimate with me to make sure that my expectations were met. Before the job, Mark came by and got my house paint so that they could pre-paint the new trim covering the step flashing. Overall, I was very impressed and will really enjoy having a leak free roof.

They did excellent job! They were prompt and showed interest without pushing. They cleaned up after themselves and showed up when they said they would. When they came out, they noticed a deck problem I had underneath the roof, which really needed replaced and they did all of it in under two days.They also have a very nice website that makes me feel like they take pride in their work.The floormen were outstanding as well as the salesmen. Even the owner came out several times to make sure things were going smoothly. I did not feel like they were trying to take advantage of my insurance company. Everything I'd want in a roofer, they were!

The job had to be postponed one day due to rain; we thought it would be delayed a second day as more rain was forecast, but the crew showed up at 8:00 AM, and began work as the drizzle cleared. At one time there were eight crew members working - very efficiently - to pull the old shingles off. They were fast and thorough and worked well together; one of the crew told me that most of them had been working together for over 20 years - and it showed. Watching them work was like seeing a well-choreographed dance. They were careful not to walk or throw shingles on the flowers in front of the house. They also were careful to clean up all the debris, including running a magnet over the lawn to pick up stray nails. They completed the entire job in about 3 hours.

Working with Wright at Home was a real pleasure. They bid the job promptly last year, but due to family circumstances I was not able to have the work done then. I called this year. They remembered me, and agreed to do the work based on last years bid. The work was scheduled within a week, and when rain delayed the start, they put me on the schedule for the first day the following week.. Bob was my project manager. He and the crew showed up on time and got the entire job done within the day. When Wright-at-Home initially bid the job, I had asked for a "worst case scenario" on possible extra costs depending on what they found when they tore off the new roof. Addison was understanding and included those as "possible" expenses. When they tore off the old roof, Bob promptly let me know that they would not have to do any of that extra work. It was a long job- the crew finished up at dusk, but they did not cut corners on cleaning up after the tear off and replacement. They did a great job with that as well. After the work was completed I had a couple of questions about the work. Bob promptly called to respond, came out and took care of everything himself. I am completely satisfied. Overall, this is a very professional family run business. Their work is top notch and their customer service is excellent-- I've never had better. While I won't need another roof in a long time, I would definitely use Wright at Home again.

I had contacted Wright at Home the year prior for an estimate, but wasn't able to go through with before weather got snowy. I had them out again, and they referenced the previous quote with small updates to price. They were professional and made recommendations about how to effectively insulate so the top floor would stay closer to the main floor's temperature. Work was scheduled for 10/21, but I received a call that morning with concerns about wind blowing the spray foam all over. I was rescheduled for the 10/28. Then the insulator arrived at my house (on 10/21) and claimed it wasn't that big a concern and that he would call the boss. Work was not done that day. I received a call later to move the work up to 10/23, which I opted for. Work commenced on time that day, though there was an issue with getting the spray foam going, which meant work wasn't finished that day. Some other job prevented finishing on 10/22, but the job was completed on 10/23. There was fairly minor work left unfinished, a little flashing and other minor details, and there wasn't risk of weather while the roof was unfinished. Everything was documented correctly and the inspection was scheduled and passed without any issues. Like most contractors I've hired, I found it necessary to do a final cleanup after they had left. There were numerous nails left in the driveway that I didn't want to collect with a tire. Other than nails and a few staples, the contractor cleanup was well performed. There were very few bits of stray shingle or other debris. The work was worth it. The roof looks very nice. The upper floor is staying warm. This morning it was the same temperature as the main floor despite the outside temperature being 10F. I consider that to be an excellent outcome, as it would previously be up to 10 degrees different upstairs, making the floor difficult to use when outside temperatures were at extremes.

Everything went very well. Addison did the initial assessment and estimate. I felt he did a great job of understanding what I wanted, suggesting possibilities, and writing a contract. This was an insurance claim. Roxanne, the office manager was just superb. Zero problems with the insurance and they communicated very well. Roofing crew was hard working. Nice cleanup. Very pleasant. Siding crew - same thing. This is a family business and there was a family member supervising each piece of the work. They communicated very well. At the beginning of each phase of work, I knew who to talk with. The siding crew exceeded my expectations with the soffit repair and the replacement of the service door. Very nice work. Both roofing and siding crews did a nice cleanup job. I really liked every person from the company that I had contact with. They are hard working and very service oriented.

Great. The day was very hot. Roxanne called the day before to reschedule because of the projected heat. I agreed, but they arrived ready to work because they all agreed that it wasn't that hot. They worked hard, kept hydrated &finished the roof. Very efficient! The entire process was fantastic. Addison came & did a quote & explained everything. Very competitive quote for a superior project. The supervisor & workers were great. I found them in Angie's List. Thanks for getting me a great roof & great experience.

We were very satisfied with the job. We worked with Addison who was very thorough and professional. Workers were very professional/good workmanship and left the job site clean. Finished product looks great! We were glad to have a better quality shingle installed. Would use Wright at Home Services again.

Wright-At- Home did a great job. Found them on Angie's List and it turned out our neighbor across the street had used them a couple of years earlier and were very pleased with the work they did. Addison arrived on time, climbed up onto all of the roofs, took us through different options and the cost differences and the warranty differences. Provided an estimate of the work to be done in just a few days. Addison presented a very fair and competitive bid from the start versus with the other companies it took a couple of go arounds to get in the same range for comparable work and products. Roxanne called to schedule the work and Nick Wright called a couple of days before to confirm they would be there. Nick and the crew arrived on time, did a great job on all of the roofs, did not damage any of the plants or landscaping around the house and did a great clean up job. Would readily recommend them to anyone and would definately use them again.

We called Wright at Home Services, Roxanne answered , immediately set up an appointment with their sales consultant Phil. He showed up right on time and gave use an estimate for the work we wanted done. The work started and finished when they said they would. Aaron the project manager was here to make sure everything went smoothly.

The estimate was clear and broke down specifics of the work to be performed. Aaron explained what needed to be done and the price was firm, not subject to change after the job was underway. We really appreciated the speed with which we were scheduled and the work completed. From estimate to completion was less than one week. The crew arrived promptly at the time promised, the job was expertly completed, and Aaron was there to show us each aspect of the completed project. He explained that the original gutter had not been installed to incline slightly so that it drained, and that the gutter guards were incorrectly installed, this contributed to the ice buildup and rotting of the wood which then allowed it to separate from the building and collapse. The repair included correcting the faults in the original installation to prevent this from recurring. This company's obvious pride in doing only top quality work and the care taken with our property were remarkable. After the work was completed there was not a scrap of leftover material or any mess for us to clean up. We knew this company from the great job they did roofing our home one year ago, and this work confirms our opinion that they are likely the best provider of these services in our region.

I was given an appointment for Friday, (Oct 11) at 3pm for Phil to come out to inspect my roof due to a recent hailstorm. I liked what I read on Angie's List and this company looked like a good choice. At 2:30pm on Friday (Oct 11), I got a call from Phil saying he needed to cancel my appointment because he had to meet an insurance claims rep for someone else in a different city. I thought this was a short notice but I do understand that sometimes the time frame to meet with insurance reps can be tight. I said that was OK and Phil said we could re-schedule the appointment for Monday, Oct 14th at noon. I went to the desk calendar and wrote it down while Phil was still on the phone. I was a bit worried about the weather forecast but it turned out that it didn't rain. By 12:30 on Monday (Oct 14) no one had showed up and I hadn't received a call. I called the company phone number and no one answered so I left a message wondering when I should expect Phil. The company recording gave a couple of alternate cell phone numbers so I called one and left a message. Within about a minute, Phil called back and I asked where he was because we had a 12:00 appointment. I also reminded him that he had canceled the Friday appointment and this was the new rescheduled time. His first response was that he was in the city of Andover (which is 35 miles from where I live and in very good traffic takes 50-60 minutes to get to my house). He said it was raining there and he assumed it was raining in my city as well. It wasn't raining but all he had to do was make a phone call to find out, which he didn't do. Also, he obviously hadn't called to tell me he would cancel. Then he said he had written down 1pm instead of noon. Even if he had written 1pm down, there was no way for him to get to my house by 1 o'clock, so that point didn't matter. Astoundingly, he suggested that he move the appointment to the next day! Yes, this would have been the third business day in a row that he expected me to accommodate him. This made me quite angry and I said no, that would not work. I had business to do and I already accommodated him once and I wanted him to honor the appointment. He suggested that, as an apology, he would offer me a discount if he could come the next day. First of all, I am not at home 24 hours per day with every minute open. Secondly, I actually moved an appointment I had on Monday because I wanted this done before the bad weather hits, which is just upon us. I told him I did not want to do business with him. I do not appreciate being treated this way. They showed utter disregard for my time and I really found it unimaginable that he thought I could go forward with another appointment when I couldn't possibly trust anything he told me up to that point. Unacceptable and unprofessional way to treat people. There are no excuses for this.

We ran into some issues with our Mortgage Holder being slow, and losing some forms, related to the claim and she was always patient and knew what to do. Our Sales contact was very honest, informative, prompt, and knew a great deal about insurance claims as well. He also was more than a Salesman. He was actually a Salesman who was a very experienced Roofer himself, so he was knowledgeable about more than just the product and the sale. We did have a one minor issue, but we were so impressed by how promptly our concern was addressed and that the owner. Bob, (great guy) came out himself to oversee and be sure we were 100% satisfied. They also did a great job with clean up.

Fantastic! Wow! All of the great reviews on Angie's List were spot on. These folks are the best. Thanks to Angie's List once again. From start to finish this was a great experience....honest sales consulting, quick scheduling, on time, great tradesmen and ownership that cares about taking care of the customer. In particular, one of the owners, Bob, was on-site almost the entire time. He went out of his way to properly fix a difficult roofing problem, unrelated to the hail storm, caused by the architect/builder of the house. As is often the case, there were a couple of hiccups along the way, but Roxanne (also an owner) and Addison (sales) addressed the issues immediately and with a great attitude. The company truly walks the talk on customer service....a rarity these days. I would hire them again in a split second. Don't hesitate to hire them...you won't regret it.

I had initially made an appointment with Roxanne Kaasa for roof/flashing repairs. I explained that our roof was due to be replaced in 2014 but that we had a potential leak around our chimney as I had a spot in my living room ceiling. Roxanne and I agreed on an appointment time on September 17, 2013. I had to call and re-schedule, and the appointment was set for September 24, 2013. The roofer did not come at the appointed window of time, and as a result I contacted Roxanne. She was extremely apologetic and explained that she would have Mr. Wright come to my home and investigate the roof. I asked that she have Mr. Wright take photos of the roof and the chimney area so that I could see the condition of the roof since I would not be at home when he came. Upon my return, I had a message from Mr. Wright stating that he had located the area that was causing the leak, he resealed and caulked the area, that he had taken pictures which would be emailed to me, and left a stain block that could be used on my ceiling. He further stated that there would not be a charge for this work due to the missed appointments. The photos arrived through my email and they enabled me to see the cause of the leak and the overall condition of my roof. Additionally, I asked (through email) if we should be concerned about mold in the attic as he could not gain access to the attic. A prompt response assured me that mold would not be an issue if the leak was successfully fixed. Wright at Home Services is a company that I will utilize again.

My neighbor said his claims adjuster said he needed a new roof after the hail last month, and I should find out if my roof was damaged. I did not want to call my insurance company, because I heard that sometimes, even if you just call them to have them look at the roof, it is considered a claim. I called Wright-at-Home based on all the good reviews on Angie's List and Roxanne, who was very nice, said: "Yes, they did free inspections." She set up an appointment two days later. Addison, the inspector, was Wright-on-time. He was very thorough and very honest and said my roof had minimal damage, but did not need to be repaired or replaced and that the roofers, who had done the job in 1998, did a good job. Another neighbor had said if I had someone come out, they would tell me I needed a new roof. Addison from Wright-at-home was honest and did not try to sell me anything, just said if I did need a roof in the future, there was something they could put at the peak of the roof to stop algae growth on the shingles, even though mine are supposed to be algae resistant (I do have a lot of shade trees and my house faces North). Addison took the time to answer all my questions and was very thorough. He also checked the gutter, downspouts, vents on the roof, and could tell by the hole in one of my screens how big the hail was here.

After calling 2 other roofers from Angie's List, we selected Wright-At-Home as they were interested on repairing only what was damaged, rather as one roofer who wanted to remove all the heavy cedar shakes which was not needed. Roxanne in the office was very patient and helpful in answering all my questions, including some with insurance. Then Phil the Sales Consultant inspected our roof and dealt with our insurance which was not easy! Nick, a member of the Wright family and project manager was here to supervise the entire project. We could not have asked for more from any roofer. The communication was clear and continued throughout the entire project. Clean up was immaculate. Service was professional from the initial call to the finish. We would highly recommend this family owned and run business.

Really well- so well that I wanted to given them another good review. Mike had worked with us when they put on a new roof 2 years ago. He was prompt and professional this time, too. He gave us his opinion and assessment, then recommended a certain kind of leaf-proofing system at our request. He took the trouble of measuring the length of our gutters to help with the estimate of leaf-proofing costs, and volunteered that if we went directly to the gutter company instead of working through Wright at Home, we would save a few dollars per foot on leaf-proofing costs. Kudos to Mike and Wright at Home for their professionalism and integrity! Thanks again.
