They did a great job! They arrived in the afternoon instead of the morning due to another job running long, but they kept me updated on when they would arrive. The crew stayed late to complete the house that day and returned the next morning to re-roof the garage. The crew also did a great job with all the cleanup. The dumpster vendor they used left some stains on the driveway which may be typical. They contacted them and either they or Wright-At-Home came out and removed them before I got home from work. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing a new roof.

Today Bob Wright came to inspect my roof and give me a free estimate. While he was up on the roof he caulked and did some work up there. He also removed the stain on my hall ceiling. He said I didn't need a roof and the stain was from an Ice dam. This man went above and beyond my expect ions and when asked how much I owed, charged me nothing. I would definitely recommend him and I would definitely use him again. What an Angel!

Roxanne was very responsive when I called her and called me right back. She listened attentively to my problem. Then she scheduled Bob and Nick to come out to look at the shingle. Bob and Nick arrived right on time and had the appropriate material they needed to do the repair. They fixed the problem in 10 minutes. A job that would of taken me at least 2 hours. When I asked them how much I owed they said "nothing." Bob's attention to detail is amazing. Both he and Nick listened to my questions and responded to them with confidence. By how they answered and what they said I could tell they are very knowledgeable in their craft. This company has always done an outstanding job from start to finish! They deserve an A+ in all ratings not an A. They have always been honest and do a quality job. This business has a lot of integrity. They are very easy to work with and care about their customer!
Description of Work: I had a roof put on the summer of 2012 by Wright At Home Services. I also had some insulation blown in the attic. This summer of 2013 I had a very minor repair job on the roof which needed to be taken care of. One of the shingles was raised in the middle.

They were very responsive and timely. We had purchased the shingles on our own and part way thru the job, they realized we were going to be short. The shingles were "special order" and when I called our vendor, they told us it would be a few days before we could get them and offered no further help. Roxanne at Wright-at-Home was able to track down what we needed thru one of her Reps, get them picked up and delivered within a few hours so the job could be completed that day! Above and beyond and much appreciated.

I have had persistent leaking from ice dams for the past 3 years since I purchased the house. It had a new roof, so we sealed up the attic and blew in more insulation. Didn't help. He came out to see our situation and make a bid. I expected it might cost us several hundred dollars if not thousands to redo the soffit vents and/or add ridge vents to get better ventilation through our attic. When he came he said "let's get up on the roof and take a look." Instead, on his first trip he pulled out his ladder, got up on the roof with a couple of tubes of sealant and proceeded to seal the shingles along the valley where the leaking occurred. He said that sealing the shingles, in his experience, almost always solves the leaking problem. As he left, to my amazement, he said "no charge." I will send him something anyway. Hopefully, that will solve our problem. if not, back to plan B next year.

Addison came out, assessed the damage shortly after the storm, and went to bat for us when the home insurance company at first would not replace the roof. He did lots of extra footwork for us. The crew came when they said they would, were efficient, and cleaned up the site exceptionally well. He talked us through the process of how to get the paper work back to the insurance company to get what was our due. It was a pleasure to work with this company and I am recommending them to others.

This was the most professional service experience I have ever had. From Addison visiting our home for an estimate, sitting down with us to discuss options, to Jelica and her pre-project checklist, to Bob our Project Manager and Jose our Crew Manager - we felt very well taken care of. The work was done fast, efficiently, neatly and well under the specified time. Bob and Jose spent time with us on site answering all of our questions, providing suggestions, and going above and beyond our expectations. They addressed issues as they arose (bee's nests!) and took care of things on the spot. I can't say enough good things about this honest, hardworking family team. We are VERY glad to have been able to work with Wright-at-Home. You only need them once every 50 years - HIRE THEM!

We were referred to Wright-at-Home by a neighbor who had a good experience with them. Like our neighbor we have a steep and complex roof. Everyone we dealt with was very professional and they did what was promised. Addison explained our options and went over how the process worked. He also checked in with us during the repairs. Bob did a great job managing the construction and work crew, kept us informed, answered our questions along the way and took care of items promptly. We also heard from Nick who was assisting Bob on managing our project. They made some suggestions on options that we followed and are happy with. We had a few pieces of roofing that needed replacing and they did this as part of the project. They even fixed and painted a small area that was not part of the project as it was the right thing to do. Very impressive. Roxanne did a great job handling the paperwork and dealing with the insurance company. She kept us informed of how things worked, what we needed to do and what the next steps would be. Overall we are very pleased that we choose Wright-at-Home Services for this big project. We would not hesitate to use them again and recommend them highly.

It went well. His experience and professionalism showed. I am rarely able to give anyone a complete 'A' rating. It is nice to know there are still good ones out there. I was able to get them out within a week of my call. They were willing to work around my schedule as much as possible. I explained and showed him the issues. He promptly addressed the issues, doing what repairs were needed to resolve the leaking issue and any others he found during his assessment. I definitely recommend them.
Description of Work: Mr. Wright had done an assessment of our 10 year old roof, installed by a different company. We were finding buckling and dipping in our roof, along with a leak we were found in our ceiling. He did repairs needed and gave an explanation of his assessment and the repair work he had done.

I couldn't be more impressed with a company coming to my home to help me figure out where my roof was leaking. I contacted Wright-At-Home Services late July 2013. Roxxane promptly scheduled the estimation visit by Addison. Addison was prompt, professional and very detail. Answered all my questions and clarified some of the details. He also educated me as this was my first roofing job done. Once I decided to go with Wright-At-Home Service, Addison & Roxxanne helped in scheduling the the work as per my convenience in late September 2013. On the day of the work, the complete Wright-At-Home Services crew were on time, they completed the work on time within a day, cleaned up the area of work and explained all the work done as per the contract. I am very glad and happy to recommend Wright-At-Home Services for all who want to get the Roof work done. Excellent work done by the team Thank You Ram

In 2012 we had some roof leaks. We contacted Wright at Home Services and they promptly came out and resealed the flashings and vents which solved all the leaks. Two years later and still no leaks but I want to be proactive so I called and had them check my roof. It was good, they resealed a couple of areas to be proactive. This company is always very reasonable priced, friendly, professional, quick to schedule and come on time. When my roof needs replacing they will be doing the job for sure.

The salesman we worked with , Mike, seemed very inexperienced. He never had samples. He could never answer a question. His constant response was " I'll have to ask my boss about that". Maybe he was brand new, but he should have told us that if it was the case. His initial bid on our new roof was $18,300. That was about $500 higher than the comparison bid we got. However, we were o.k. with using this company.....until he saw the amount we were getting from our insurance company. All of a sudden, the price went up to almost $24,000 -- the full amount we could get from insurance. He said, he had been mistaken about the cost of the product in the initial bid. When we questioned this and provided comparisons for Mike, he got quite defensive in an email. He said, "I get the idea you think I'm trying to rip you off". We never heard from him again. No one else from the company every contacted us to try to make this right or to get our business. We did the project with someone else and are very happy. I figure if they are this unresponsive and difficult going into a project, what would it be like if something were to go wrong? We didn't want to find out. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Response to Provider response: As my wife said; If Mark is new to the company, he never made that clear. It would have gone a long way toward making us more confident in the dealings if he had been up front with that information. A better scenario would be having a seasoned salesman accompany him until he is familiar with the job. Mark did NOT deal primarily with me. My wife sat in on all but the initial meeting when he climbed on the roof to take measurements. Mark was only at our home three times ? once to measure, once to hand over paperwork to our insurance adjuster, once to receive paperwork regarding our insurance claim. His emails were directed to my account; however, they were shared with my wife. We make joint decisions. What I stated in my phone conversation was that I have been out of town and had not read the Angie?s List review. Having read it, I am in total agreement with the statements. Mark did NOT work with the insurance company to get the roof covered. My wife worked with the insurance adjuster, who in turn told Mark exactly what paperwork he needed to provide. It was standard worksheets that any roofing company would be able to produce. The roof was replaced because of a MN statute which requires the replacement of roofing materials if the old shingles can not be matched. Our shingles had been discontinued by CertainTeed and therefore the replacement of damaged skylights, required the replacement of the roof shingles. It was a simple matter of working through the steps. Mark was given that information at our first meeting and told exactly how the process would work with regard to documentation for our insurer. Your statement that we changed the ?scope of the project? is completely uninformed. The initial bid from Wright was $18,300 using a GAF Timberline High Definition shingle -- which Mark assured me was equal in quality AND PRICE to "any shingle Certainteed makes". We asked Mark to bid on Certainteed shingles right from the beginning since we knew it was what we had on our roof and we were very happy with the product. We did not change either the scope of the project or our choice of shingles. Let me quote from Mark?s email dated July 7, 2014: ?I'm just waiting to hear back on the price for the presidential. I was off a bit on the price of those and they are a bit more expensive then the timberlines but I should know very shortly if we can make it work.? Then in an email dated July 8, 2014: ?the salesman at united got back to me and it looks like we can do the certain teed presidential. they are a top of the line shingle and the price is a bit higher than what i expected but i think we can get it done for that price.? (?that price? being the $18,300 bid) During this time we met with Mark. He requested copies of our insurance paperwork, which my wife supplied. Within that paperwork, Mark, found out that our insurance company had authorized a payment of up to $22,741. After the above emails from Mark, we sent a response asking for clarification. ?You will do the whole project for $18,300 -- with the CertainTeed Presidential shingles. Correct? ? His response: ?No we could do the whole project for $23,741. We did find it highly suspect that after the aforementioned exchanges, this bid increased to exactly? (to the dollar)?.. the amount that our insurance company had authorized + $1000 which would have been rebated as a supposed Angie?s List discount. The only time we have been contacted by Robert Wright was after the Angie?s List review was posted?.and then only to tell us how wrong we are (as seen below). In light of the difficulty with the bidding process, we did not feel confident that customer service would meet our standards after the job was finished. I will atest that neither Mark or Mr.Wright contacted me via email or phone to find out why we had decided to take our business elsewhere. We have completed the job with D.S. Bahr Construction, Inc. ? a highly rated member on Angie?s List. We are completely happy with his work from start to finish.

There are a few things that we want to clarify in regards to this review. First, Mark (his name is not Mike) is newer to the Wright-At-Home Services team, so at times he does need to ask questions and get additional information from others in our company. It is all part of learning this industry and our business. I would rather have him ask us questions than guess and give out incorrect information. It should be noted however that Mark was able to get the homeowner’s roof covered by the member’s insurance company even though they initially agreed to only a minor roof repair. We think Mark did a great job in that regard. He put in a lot of time and effort to get this done for the homeowner. As for the confusion with pricing, Mark did exactly what was asked of him. Initially the member was considering a CertainTeed Landmark shingle. We bid the project at $18,300 with two new skylight units. After the homeowner received their insurance estimate back they asked Mark about the CertainTeed Presidential Shake shingle. This is a huge upgrade in terms of price. We put together a bid for $23,741. The member’s statement that “all of the sudden the price went up to $24,000” is incorrect. The price increased because the homeowner asked for a different scope of work entirely. The member indicated that they received a quote for $500 less than our initial bid for the upgraded shingle. I understand that from a consumer’s standpoint it may appear that our price is outrageous, but given that the insurance company valued the roof with a standard shingle close to our price indicates that our pricing is where it should be. We would make next to nothing if we had agreed to install the upgraded shingle for the price of the standard shingle. This is not conducive to good business. I know that we price every job that we do the exact same way. Sometimes we are the highest and other times we are the lowest. Just because you get a bid from another company that is less, it doesn’t mean it’s the going rate for roofing. Mistakes can be made. I am confident after review that our price was where is should have been. I have email records that show Mark followed up via email every single step of the way and only stopped responding when the member stated “Mark, We have decided to work with a different contractor. Thank you.” In fact, Mark sent two additional email messages to the member after she claims that they “never heard from him again.” We are all for honest and thoughtful reviews of your experience on Angie’s List. In fact, we welcome criticism so long as it is constructive and accurate. It makes us a stronger company. The member’s account of the situation is not accurate. Mark informed me that he dealt primarily with the member’s husband throughout the process. In our follow up call with the member’s husband he informed me that he is not the person who wrote the review and that he did not know what his wife wrote. Thank you.

Bob was excellent to work with. He came out on Monday to inspect the area we'd requested repairs on, and then did a full inspection to make sure there weren't other areas needing work. He was able to come out the next day to complete the necessary repairs. He was prompt, courteous, and very professional. We'll definitely use their services in the future.

Wright-At-Home Services started the job on time, was quick, courteous and paid attention to detail. A particularly troublesome area of the roof was addressed and looks great. Cleanup was thorough. Excellent communication and responsiveness by the project manager. I believe Wright-At-Home Services stands behind their work and is committed to quality. Wright-At-Home Services exceeded my expectations and I can be very picky. The project manager correctly identified that the roof needed more venting and new venting was installed. The City inspector complimented the contractor on their work. Would gladly use them again!

Excellent. I called Wright-At-Home because I had two rood leaks and water was coming into the house. Bob came out and we reviewed where water had come into the house. I told Bob what I had seen when I was in the attic during a rain storm and that helped to narrow down the location. We went on the roof and Bob immediately found the problem. Root cause was poor workmanship by the previous roofer. Bob fixed the problems and made recommendations about a separate concern I had about my 4 season porch roof. Bob is very knowledgeable and he explained everything. When he had finished, he said it was no charge. I had been working with another contractor and he quoted a price but, he never showed up - thank goodness. I've now found MY contractor. Bob is a good guy and isn't he out there to sell you what you don't need - very refreshing.

First, I apologize for the length of this referral. I don?t think a 1 paragraph?atta-boy? is sufficient. Now that I am retired, my charming spouse and I will be relocating to Colorado Springs in the next few months. I wanted to take care of some items needing attention that, came to light as an aftermath of the Winter of 2013-14. As usual, I checked ?Angie?s List? for a highly rated Exterior Service Company. I found ?WRIGHT-AT-HOME SERVICESCO.. I contacted the company via email on Friday, July 18th.. Within approximately 20 minutes I received an email from Roxanne (VP of the Company). After I gave her a bit more information, I received another e-mail from Roxanne telling me who would be coming to the house, when, and at what time. Bob Wright (co-owner) and his nephew Aaron Parenteau (Siding Project Manager) arrived promptly at the scheduled appointment time on Wednesday the 23rd., in professionally lettered trucks (the Angie?s List Logo prominently displayed on the Rear ¼ Panel). Bob and Aaron were dressed in a professional manner wearing crisp white company logo?d shirts. (The old moto still applies ?Dress For Success?). We discussed the issues at hand. I was toldexactly what would done. I was also told that they could do things that would cost quite a bit of money that would serve no useful purpose. (That was refreshing). Mr. Wright went right to work and Aaron left to pickup siding items. Note: Aaron had to go to 2 different locations to secure necessary siding for my house. The second location was over 10 miles away. Mr. Wright finished the work on the roof and as we were talking in the kitchen, he noticed a couple of small water stains on the ceiling that were remnants of roof issues he had just repaired . He asked if I would like him to remove them? (I was planning on painting the ceiling anyway, which I was not looking forward to). He said he could take care of the stains quickly. He went to his truck and brought in a solvent that removed the stains in a matter of minutes. No muss, no fuss. And the ceiling shows absolutely no signs of staining. Aaron returned from the siding company with 2 twelve ft. sections of siding that was almost a match to mine. ?Here is what impressed me!? Since the repair was on the side of the house where we do most of our entertaining and where any repair would be noticeable, Aaron suggested that he remove the sections off the far side of the garage, where they would not be noticed, and make the repairs with siding from the garage that would be a perfect match and would not be noticed. And it isn?t! I would strongly recommend ?Wright-At-Home Services Company". They truly demonstrate a degree of professionalism that is often not seen, beginning with my initial contact with Roxanne, to their punctuality, presentation, counsel, repairs, and their desire for customer service. It is obvious to me, for Bob, Aaron, and Roxanne ?reputation? is everything.

With all the rain we have been getting there was a water spot on our ceiling by our chimney. Wright at Home put a new roof on our house about a year ago so I thought I'd see if they could identify the source. Bob came by very determined to investigate and find the problem.
Description of Work: Identified the source of a ceiling leak around our chimney.

Addison was very helpful with a no-pressure sales approach, and gave us options. Although it was a bit more expensive, we went with the more durable option of Apex siding, and we are very happy with it. We couldn't have asked for a better crew with Aaron, Willie, and the gang. They kept us in the loop at all times with issues and suggestions. The project took a little longer than expected (due to weather and a new siding product), but we didn't mind because that just told us they were more interested in getting it done right. Very impressive job.

They did an excellent job, we selected them because of their high standing, in order to make the price more palatable, they gave us a 500$ for being an Angie's list member and then they would have done the job in putting a 25 year shingles just for the insurance money but we wanted 50 year excellent shingle so that added another thousand dollars. It was excellent, they were an accurate in clean up, they brought out so many employees that they did the entire rip off, installation and clean up in three hours, we have a standard size, its not a small roof, its a standard size house, double garage, he had so many employees, that the tear off, installation and clean up was three and a half hours. I walked around the house and check everything and everything was cleaned up, they used magnetic roll pin to pick up the nails, there was nothing laying around, they did an excellent job. Mr. Wright came out, he wasn't there the whole time but he was supervising and he was there at the end making ends right, he got up the roof to check the detail and he went around my property to make sure that everything was picked up properly and that everything looked right around the edges. They weren't cheaper than anybody else but they weren't terribly expensive.
Description of Work: We used the roofing company last year, Wright-At-Home, it would have been less expensive but we upgraded the shingles, we had a hale damage.

Addison Kaasa arrived propmptly for the estimate and he was very polite, knowledgable and thorough. No pressure. My wife and I got two other quotes and decided to go with Wright At Home. They Had very good reviews on Angie's List. They walked us through the process and were very helpful. I know the forecast was for rain that day, but they came early and finished the job before it rained after noon. Great company great people!

It went very well. Communication was good- both the office and the salesman were very prompt in their responses to my questions and concerns. There was great attention to detail- far above the minimum. I also appreciated that Nick added a few things that the salesman had mentioned but had not included in the job description. There was no attempt by Nick to charge for these items. At the end of the job one of the installers walked me around up top. He put finishing touches in several places. The crew did things that were not their job as well, such as cutting down an old dish cable, and washing out a long, messy gutter. I had been told that a new roof meant lots of nails in the yard, but despite looking I have found just one. Another reviewer wrote that the cleanup was so good you would never know a roof had just been put on- that was my experience as well. I had thought from reading about Wright that the work would be great-see their Checkbook ratings from a few years ago-but the price would not be great, but this turned out not to be true. Wright was the only company to include my shed in back, but even so the bid was as good or better than others I got. In short, no negatives. The roof looks great.
Description of Work: Replaced roof and all fixtures. Also did shed in back.
