My experience with TC Ice Dam Removal was A+ from start to finish. I was able to book a same day appointment. The 2 fellows who performed the work were prompt, courteous and very helpful. The scope of work was easily determined and there was no pressure to expand or “upsell”. They were clearly knowledgeable. The job was completed in the estimated time frame and charges were as stated in the original call. I would not hesitate to recommend them and am sure I will use them again.

When I made the appointment for 2:00 PM, I was informed that the workmen might arrive late due to previous commitments at other homes. So I had no problem when they didn’t arrive until 5:00 PM. Both men were very courteous and knowledgeable about ice dams. I was mildly surprised when I was told that they would only be shoveling some of the snow off my roof and would not be completely removing the ice dams. Instead, they told me that they would steam channels among the ice dams to allow melting water to escape over the side of the roof. My only concern was leakage into my house and they assured me that the channeling technique would solve that problem. After 2 hours, although they were still not done with the channeling, they had shoveled a significant amount of snow off my roof and had exposed the roof vents which had been covered. I authorized another hour so that they could complete the channeling but, after 30 minutes, they ran out of fuel for their steamer. One side of my roof had been completed but the other side was only 2/3 done. Still they assured me that there would be no leaking when the temperatures rose in the Spring. So far, I have had no problems. Although the job wasn’t done to my expectations, I’m assuming that these guys know what they’re talking about and they saved me some money in the process. If my roof starts to leak in the Spring, I will update this review. However, I’m optimistic that won’t happen. Would I recommend this company to others? Definitely. However, I would also recommend that your expectations be clearly communicated before the work begins.

. I finally called Twin City **** and they came out and evaluated my roof. At this time there was no ice dam for me. So they just cleared the roof off. They recommended putting in one of their heating systems for the roof the spring. Randy and Dan were very professional and informative.

I called at noon and they were here by 5. My roof developed a leak and the leak was gone after they removed the dam. Travis and Tom were very efficient and professional. Thanks for coming all the way from Minnesota to get rid of my d*** dams, guys!!!

This was the first winter we have had ice buildup, due to the numerous thaw and freeze cycles we are going through.
These guys were really good. Travis and Jeremy called ahead of time, arrived on schedule, listened to my concerns and questions, and finished in their projected amount of time and at estimated cost. They also gave me some pointers on how to prevent ice buildup from happening again. They finished by shoveling off and salting my sidewalk when they were done.
I had the service done on a Monday, but had called to schedule the appointment on Sunday. In addition to Twin Cities Ice Dam Removal, I called about 4-5 other service providers (that were also on Angie's List) to gauge approximate time required for my request and availability. Although everyone on my call list advertised having "emergency service" (which I did not need), this company was the ONLY one that answered the phone. If I had needed emergency service, they would have been out within 2-3 hours... Very responsive.

Promptly returned call, extremely knowledgeable. Discussed customer needs and expectations in depth. Responded first thing in the morning... offered same night response. Very reasonably/competitive price, very courteous.

They came on short notice when we needed them to remove ice dams. The cost seems high, but they are up on the roof on ICE!! which seems dangerous but they were pros.

They did excellent work, answered all questions and their rates were comparable to all metro ice dam removal companies. Would use them again.

It went well.  Two guys showed up right on time, and talked me through what they would do (basically hook up a hose to our exterior water supply and steam off the ice dam).  There's a two hour minimum charge, which was clearly communicated.  The guys checked after 2 hours, and we agreed that additional work was probably best.  I ended up needed 3 hours of service, but was happy to have the ice dam removed satisfactorily. 

New to the Twin Cities area and didn't know what ice dams were until our house started to flood near the skylight. I called around and these guys had the best prices. They came out, did the job, and were extremely professional. Dan knew about our skylight (google maps) before even coming out and knew exactly where our problem area was. Talk about doing your homework! Would use these guys again in a heartbeat.

These guys removed an impressive amount of snow in the 2 hours they were here. Not only did they remove snow from our second story roof but they also removed it again from both the front and back walkways and driveway.  The ice dam was removed just as described on the phone and was way bigger than how it appeared covered in it's snow disguise.  I am very thankful that they followed my instructions to concentrate on the areas of the house that concerned me first, and then clarified the remaining scope when I checked in with them along the way. They completed the job very quickly and cleaned up thoroughly.  I was exhausted just watching them.  Great job!  If we get this much snow again, I will be calling Twin Cities Ice Dam Removal. I was taken aback by how much it costs per hour when I heard the number up front. However, after seeing the work done, I think I got a very fair price for the service I was provided.

The team of two arrived on time and completed the ice dam and snow removal in a professional and prompt manner.  They checked in with us every hour or so to update us on the progress.  We were able to get them to come out to our house the day after we called for the service.  Very pleased and will use them again if the ice dams reappear. 

Dan and his assistant arrived promptly and got to work right away. I had a lot of problem areas and we discussed my priorities to help keep within my budget. They were careful to check in with me as they approached my initial budget limit. I decided to have them keep working to remove a couple more ice dams (rather than face the consequences later). It is expensive work, but their rates are comparable to other companies in the area. Also, they worked non-stop while they were at my house. They were professional throughout the entire process and I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again (although I hope I don't have to!).

On a very cold Friday morning two hard working experienced young men did a great job! The ice dams were no match. They were also very thorough in shoveling afterward and salting as needed where the water and steam froze to the cement walk. And ask for the Senior Discount if they still offer it.
