Very well. Finished product looked great. They were careful not to harm garden plants, and laid down tarps to remove the majority of the debris. However, it would be helpful to advise the homeowner in advance that 4" mini-ditches are dug around the foundation and therefore need to be filled with black dirt when the sandblasting is completed. Because of the age of block, it's also helpful to prepare the homeowner that mortar may be needed to fill the cracks.

I like the finished look on the foundation blocks and the workmen laid down tarps that helped to haul out the majority of chipped paint that was removed. However, it would have been helpful to hear that the sandblasting process is best done when "mini-ditches" of approx. 4" are made around the foundation to make sure all old paint is removed. In turn, I needed to have black dirt brought in to fill in the ditches. The age of the blocks (from 1921) also meant that cracks would occur between some of the blocks, so I needed to do mortar repairs as well.

The guys did a great job. This is a messy, noisy project. They prepped the house one day, tarping and covering all the windows and doors. Came back the next day for the actual sandblasting. They do their best to minimize the mess inside and outside the house, but we were glad we took the time to tape the insides of all of our windows and doors the night before! The fine dust will filter in through any opening. They were nice to work with -- friendly and responsive. Highly recommend.

I can only say positive things. The entire operation was professional from start to end and the price was right.

American Sandblasting was recommended by my stucco company which arranged for Bill Noren to come and give a bid. Bill Noren came promptly and provided the estimate immediately. He was very responsive when I called several times with questions about the need to protect the inside of my house from the sand and dust created by the work. Work was re-scheduled once by them because weather had produced a delay. Came on time, covered windows, landscaping, etc., completed the work and cleaned up. I was very satisfied.

In searching for a sandblaster I found it is difficult to even find one. I spoke with Bill and he seemed very knowledgeable about his work. In talking further with other people, they made comments about his good work. Tarps were stapled to protect the wood trim. During the process of sandblasting it must be hard to see and some of the woodwork was slightly damaged by the sandblasting process. Most, but not all, of the old paint was removed. Because some of the old paint remained, our stucco guy had to do a little more work to ensure the adhesion of the new dashing material.
