Stone Country Tree & Landscaping

Corey was out in our neighborhood knocking on doors to solicit business. He was personable and professional and I told him I would like an estimate to take down a dead elm tree in our back yard. He looked over the tree and said he could do it for $300. I told him he had a deal. We arranged for him to be here by 11 am on the following day. I told him that we might not be home at that time, but he said that would not be a problem - he would just do the work and leave a bill. I felt that was fine. He could not get to us by 11 am as he was working on a job for one of our neighbors just a few houses away - but he called and left a message. Interestingly enough, he saw us pull into our driveway and came over right away to let us know what was happening and that he and his crew would be over as soon as they were done. They came about one hour later and found, after getting most of the tree down, that they would not be able to complete the job that day because of impending darkness, but would be back the next day. They did show up and completed the job. As I was going to be gone that day, I had instructed my wife to give them a bonus of $50 if they did a good job - especially on the clean-up. She felt, and I did too after looking over the yard the next day, that the service provided well warranted the extra payment.
