I contacted this company via the e-mail link on Angie's List on Sunday and within 10 minutes I had received a call from Brian. He has been receiving hundreds of calls due to the problem of ice dams this winter but my e-mail popped up right away. Brian said he would have someone come out on Tuesday or Wednesday. Monday afternoon I received a call from Chad saying that they were on their way. Chad estimated that it would take 4-5 hours to get all the ice off the roof. When asked if they would be removing the snow he said he only removed the ice. When I originally talked to Brian I didn't know that they had two different crews - one that removes the ice dams and one that shovels the snow off the roof. The job could not be finished in one day so they came Tuesday morning. Chad said that it was going to take longer than he expected but honored his original estimate of 5 hours. Chad had talked to Brian and it was agreed that all the snow would be cleared off the roof, too, at no extra charge even though it should have been an additional cost. It cost more than we expected but we had water damage in two rooms last winter due to ice dams so we want to avoid at all costs from filing another insurance claim this winter. My husband goes out every time we have snow and uses a roof rake to remove the snow but we still had thick ice dams.
