They did a little more than I thought they would. They saw some places and threw a patch on there.

OVERALL THEY DID A VERY NICE JOB ON THE STUCCO WORK ITSELF AND THE PRICE WAS VERY REASONABLE WHEN COMPARED TO THE OTHER BIDS I RECEIVED. HOWEVER, THE CLEAN UP WAS POOR. THIS MAY NOT BOTHER SOME, BUT SINCE I JUST HAD OTHER MAJOR WORK DONE AND THAT CLEAN UP WAS OUTSTANDING, THIS WAS QUITE A CONTRAST. LITTLE CARE WAS TAKEN TO MY GARDEN. THE YARD AND THE FLOWERS IN MY GARDEN NEAR THE HOUSE WERE TRAMPLED AND KILLED. MY COMPOSE UNIT WAS MOVED AND THE SOIL WAS DUMPED ON TOP OF MY STRAWBERRIES AND RASPBERRIES AND BURIED THEM AND THE SURROUNDING GRASS. I JUST HAD WORK DONE ON MY ROOF, AND THE STUCCO BITS AND MIX THAT HAD SPLATTERED ONTO THE ROOF WERE ENOUGH TO NOTICE FROM THE GROUND. THE WORK ITSELF WAS GOOD, BUT THE CLEAN UP WAS NOT. AFTER THE FACT, I'VE TRIED ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS TO GET THEM TO REINSTALL AWNINGS. THEY FINALLY CAME AND REINSTALLED THE AWNINGS BUT THE ONE IS FALLING OFF. THEY SAID THEY WOULD BE BACK TO FIX IT.

"The customer liked the stucco job and the price. However, I disagree with her complaint on the cleanup. It does matter how we leave the job. We do take as much care to the yard and flowers, etc., as possible, but our job consists of laying tarps down over plants/shrubs/flowers, etc., and building scaffolding. The time of the year matters on how a lot of things survive, and we do tell our customers that (It also involves a little common sense. When you lay tarps over plants and things, they might get trampled). The awnings cannot be immediately re-installed, you have to wait a time. But usually the homeowner re-installs them. And the awnings HAVE been reinstalled. Jill Battin, Battin Stucco"

ONE WEEK BEFORE THE WORK WAS TO BE DONE I CALLED AND RECEIVED NO RESPONSE. I CALLED FOUR TIMES TO HIS ANSWERING SERVICE AND RECEIVED NO CALLS BACK. THE ESTIMATED PRICE OF $6800 FOR SANDBLASTING AND REDASHING THE HOUSE WAS GOOD, BUT WORTHLESS IF NO WORK WAS PERFORMED. WOULD I USE HIS SERVICES IF I COULD REACH HIM? MAYBE, BUT THE UNRESPONSIVENESS IS DISCONCERTING.

THEIR BID WAS LESS THAN HALF THE NEXT CLOSEST, AND WE WERE INITIALLY RELUCTANT TO ACCEPT IT. WE CHECKED OUT SEVERAL REFERENCES AND FOUND UNIFORM PRAISE AND COMMENTS THAT THEIR BID WAS FREQUENTLY MUCH LOWER THAN OTHER STUCCO COMPANIES. THEY WERE PROMPT AND DID EXCELLENT WORK. THEY ALSO PERFECTLY MATCHED THE NEW STUCCO TO THE OLD (WHICH WE WEREN'T REPLACING). WE'VE ASKED THEM TO BID ON APPLYING STUCCO TO OUR NEW GARAGE THIS SUMMER.
