Custom Fit Upholstery

We had a old couch that had been passed around the family for decades. I'm guessing it was made in the 40's or 50's. It fit perfectly in our home and is very comfortable but it was becoming torn and tattered. We contacted Cheryl ,first of all because she lives so close to us, and second, we decided if the couch could be saved, we would go that route rather than buying a new couch. During her first visit, she examined the couch carefully noting imperfections in the stitching and design and giving us options on the finishing and look. She had a truckload of fabric books to look over as well. She was very patient and we never felt rushed in any decisions. She took her time to explain all the questions we had and how the process would happen if we chose to go with her. We had decided on a fabric with a large floral design. She told us it would cost more to use this fabric because of the waste created to match the design to the pillows and back. We were amazed when we got the couch back and how the back & seat pillows flowed with the design. It was then that I realized how much work goes into coordinating a flowing design like that flawlessly into the project. She also changed and improved corners and shape. Bottom line, the couch is more artwork than furniture now, and it is even more comfortable than before. When she delivered the couch, I was recovering from surgery and couldn't help lift it. She brought along family members to help lift it up the steps and into place. I tried to tip them for their help but they refused, saying it was all part of the package. Cheryl also worked with us on the timing, so we could have the couch out of the house while new floors and windows were being put in. I will use her services again when I have two antique chairs refinished and upholstered. Highly satisfied, highly recommended.
