Toenyan Tree Service

Toenyan Tree Service came up to our door on a Sunday. They asked if we were interested in trimming services on any of our trees. We pointed out our large Cottonwood tree. We asked if they could trim any dead wood and how high they would go. They quoted us a price for trimming and then for trimming and hauling of the wood. We asked if they could trim one of our maples next to the Cottonwood. They said it would be better to trim one of the larger branches on our Cottonwood to open up the space for the Maple. They said they could quote us for the Maple but it looked in really good shape and was not necessary at this time. They said they didn't want to charge us for work that wasn't necessary. They said it would be best to see how the Maple tree responded to the newly opened space from the Cottonwood. We negotiated on the price and agreed to service the next day, early afternoon.
Toenyan arrived promptly at 11 am and went right to work. They completed a very large job by 1:30 pm. The trimmer climbed much higher than I thought he would. They did an excellent job and were very professional. Their supervisors/managers followed up with me twice during the job to ask how things were going.
They are based out of Minnesota. They come into Wisconsin to work for 10 days then go home for 5 days. They rotate their schedule during the summer. I asked the trimmer why they don't work in Minnesota. He said there is an overage of tree service companies in their area, 5 companies per household. He said they travel to other states, Ohio during the summer and as far as Kansas during the winter.
