january 2007 -- initial communication/order very time consuming, flooring orders on 'new' phone system through, believe, texas. expeditor did follow through and provide assistance on any 'glitches'. installation started and completed february 2007. at the time were very pleased with having new, safe flooring for mobility. August 2010, flooring shows distress and starts to upheave, eventually becoming totally destroyed and irreparable (per installers, contractor and insurance adjuster). Installers go to home to view floor, tell consumer 'have never seen anything like this' and will contact area district service manager, instead, installers write report that problem is due to moisture (this is disclaimed by requested reports from both contractor and insurance adjuster). furthermore, installers, no longer respond and do not contact district service manager. consumer contacts district service manager, who has multiple phone conversations indicating that needs to get inspector to examine floor and takes responsibility if there is improper installation and implies obiligation and proper treatment. district service manager is also offered open invitation to home to view floor. after couple of months of phone conversations, receive phone call from inspector, stating was hired october 27 by home depot for inspection, inspection scheduled for november 13, 2010, only to be cancelled via home depot november 11, 2010. TIMELINE January 2007 Order at home depot store February 2007 Parquet floor installed by Home Depot, Store #2818, Brainerd/Baxter, Minnesota. August 2010 Floor falters (irreparable, per installers); contact Brainerd/Baxter Home Depot. August 17, 2010 Installers on site, state they will contact District Service Manager. Installers inform Sally (customer) ‘have never seen anything like this’. Installers submit report suggesting moisture. August 23, 2010 Communication with District Service Manager. to October 7, 2010 At least fifteen (15) phone communications, all implying obligation and proper treatment Requests reports and pictures. Weekly advises has put in request for Inspector. August 25, 2010 Insurance Adjuster on site. Report and pictures submitted to District Service Manager. Problems due to improper installation. September 17, 2010 Contractor on site. Report and pictures submitted to District Service Manager. Problems due to improper installation. October 11, 2010 Contact Minnesota Attorney General’s Office. October 27, 2010 Home Depot retains Inspector. November 2010 Inspector calls, schedules inspection for Saturday, November 13, 2010. November 11, 2010 Home Depot cancels inspection. December 27, 2010 Floor Replaced. January 5, 2011 Shaw Industries calls Jeanne Amaral, advising per information provided by Home Depot, flooring is not their product. Home Depot has misidentified them as manufacturer. February 1, 2011 Send Letter/Documents to Mr. Frank Blake, Chairman and CEO, The Home Depot, Atlanta, Georgia. February 15, 2011 The Home Depot Customer Care calls. Mr. Blake has not and will not receive letter and documents. March 1, 2011 Send Letter/Documents to Board of Directors. All communication with home depot headquarters has been boiler-plated response without thorough review of all documents, pictures, correspondence and information provided. the only example of consistenty in communication, follow through and sincerity has been with the original expeditor, cheryl, who was responsible for initial order and assisted in continued customer service and communication after floor faltering due to improper installation. PLEASE NOTE THE CUSTOMER/CONSUMER IS A MULTIPLE STROKE PATIENT AND ON A FIXED INCOME. Safety was the purpose of having floor installed and having faltered floor replaced. We are simply looking for trust, honesty and integrity to receive proper compensation/resolution in this matter.
