Lakeside Plumbing

Lakeside Plumbing & Heating, owned by Jerame Tysdal, was the plumbing and heating subcontractor on our home building project. We chose Lakeside because we were assured by Jerame Tysdal, who was also the general contractor, that we would receive a better product for a better price than a bid he had received from a competitor. We later obtained a copy of that competitor’s bid which was actually less than the quote and final invoice paid to Lakeside Plumbing & Heating. We weren’t aware at the time, but Mr. Tysdal did not have previous experience designing a heating system but proceeded to do it himself. He vented the high efficiency furnace out the roof of our home and during a cold spell the first winter, the vent froze shut and our furnace stopped. We were not at the home at the time but fortunately there was other work being done on the home and the low temperature was discovered before the house froze. We had to hire another company to reroute the venting out the side of our house, which should have been done in the first place. We also have documentation to support that Lakeside Plumbing & Heating was paid for an air source heat pump and labor that was never installed in our home. We have been advised by the local authorities that Mr. Tysdal stated installed this merchandise that we paid for in another home. The other plumbers that had to come in and complete the project, as well as correct the mistakes, mentioned the work was not done using current practices.
