Midtown Auto Clinic

My car broke down while I was passing through Austin, MN. I got it towed to MidTown where Peter inspected the engine to see what was wrong.  He told me it would not be something he could fix that day, so I should try to get a different way to go home. While I was waiting for my husband to come pick me up, Peter put together a couple of options for what we should do, including calling a salvage yard to see if he could locate a used engine, he called another company to locate a remanufactured engine so that we would have all the facts before we decided what to do.  We decided to have him put a salvaged engine in.  Five days later he called us that the job was done, he had replaced the broken engine with the savaged one (that he located and had delivered), he replaced all the belts, wires and hoses as well as engine fluids that were required, and he replaced a burnt out tail light for me.  We went to pick it up and the cost was slightly under the estimate he had given us. He said that if we had any trouble in the 6 months that the warranty on the engine was good that we should call him and he would make it right.  It has been a month since he did the work and so far all is well.  We were so privileged that when the car broke down he was there to help us out.
