Lindsey sold me top quality Bertch cabinets. Pricing was excellent based on competing quotes for another brand they sell. Excellent, consummate professional installation. Even though I did not purchase countertops from them, they arranged plumbing service at a lower negotiated rate. Top notch design, sales, service.

Jim did a great job!  He worked with us on solving a question we had on installation, and that went very well.  This is a very professional company.  I highly recommend them.

After a disastrous flooring and carpet installation experience with a large home improvement store within shouting distance of Abbey Decorating Center, which involved two botched installations and damage to my home, I used Angie's List to find this flooring specialist.
Upon my first visit, I was impressed by the range of carpet options and the attentiveness of our salesperson. One of the first things I noticed about the staff was that they were dressed professionally and acted like they knew what they were doing.  My salesperson, Lindsey, gave me as much space as I needed, meaning she allowed me to peruse the carpet selections without hovering around me.  She checked in with me periodically to see if I had questions.  I asked several questions on style, durability and sought her opinion on appearance.  I was working to coordinate with our paint color and our upholstery.  At the conclusion of my first visit, she allowed me to take as many samples home as I wanted and indicated there was no hurry to bring them back.  She made a record of which ones I took and took my contact information.  I returned three more times to narrow down my selection and to take home more samples.  On these occasions, Lindsey wasn't there.  BUT, each salesperson I talked to was helpful, knowledgeable, could address my questions, and most importantly could access my file and paperwork.
After I made my selection, Lindsey scheduled my measurement.  She made note of the fact that I used Angie's List and incorporated a 10% reduction on the overall order.
When Abbey Decorating Center scheduled my measurement and then the installation, they provided a 1 hour window.  This was a refreshing practice.  I'm used to being given a three or four hour window with the technicians often showing up late.
Kirk was the individual who handled the measurement.  He arrived within 15 minutes of the scheduled time frame.  He was neat and clean and knew what he was doing and made several astute technical observations about how the carpet would have to be cut and which way the grain would have to lie.
The installer showed up within 15 minutes of the appointed time.  He was a professional.  He was mindful our home and our belongings and cleaned-up after himself.  The carpet looks great.
I give Abbey Decorating Center very high marks and I intend to use them again shortly for my next flooring project.  They (the Store and its employees) reflected the professional values that really matter to me.  The individuals I encountered  were smart, neat and presentable.  They are knowledgeable and accommodating.  THEY HAD THEIR ACT TOGETHER!  If you are tired of dealing with bozos, this is the place to go.  They were slightly more expensive than the neighboring big home improvement store (the did it for $3,229 versus $2,80 ), but the price difference was negligible in return for the timely professionalism.

The gentleman that came out to measure my floors and give me the initial quote was pleasant and knew his stuff. The two installer guys- Jason and Jason- did great work. They always called before their arrival time- they were prompt- cleaned up after themselves- and got the job done quickly. They were also very pleasant to work with. One of the Jason's has been installing floor for over 20 years. I would have given Abbey a perfect score except that I had to chase the project manager at the store quite a bit regarding the job.
I arranged the job ahead of time, then called to confirm the job when it was time, etc. I did the chasing and most of the follow up on the job, not her. She was pleasant enough but her communication skills could have been a bit more on the ball. Many days she seems scattered. (I am a stickler for customer service- so perhaps this would be a minor thing for other people.)
I would not hesitate to use them again. And I'd ask for the Jason Team again. : )

The tile placement and carpeting took place on the days and times contracted. I was very satisfied with the quality of the work. The price was competitive with other providers I spoke to and I was able to use an Angie's List coupon which paid for the disposal fee for the old carpet.

Very helpful with selection and good communication of what to expect and install dates.  Did have to reschedule once due to delay in delivery of carpet but rescheduled within a few weeks of original install date.  Installation went smoothly.  We are very happy with the service and installation of our new carpet.

When we arrived at the Abbey Showroom we knew what product(s) we didn't want so as we spoke to our salesperson - Alethea - she was helpful answering our questions about the premium vinyl tile products, cost, and installation.  Once we selected the product Kirk came out and gave us an estimate, which we felt was competitive so we scheduled the installation.  We were scheduled for a two day installation and received confirmation of installation date and the arrival time of our installer.  The installer, Matt, arrived around 8am and he first walked me through what he would be doing that day and then got right to work.  Honestly, I originally thought there would be 2 installers (my own theory) but realize that 2 people would have resulted in them getting into each other's way so it all made sense.  He worked two long days and asked questions as needed.  Matt is knowledgeable about the product - he really knows his stuff.  He is very methodical and precise - a perfectionist if you will.  We appreciated his attention to detail and his quality of work speaks for itself.

After much research of product and supplier we went forward and are entirely pleased. The project went flawlessly, like clockwork, other than a misunderstanding in the color of wood which caused about an hour delay during installation.  However it looks great and was the only color solution that would work. They needed to raise the counter about 3/4" to allow for the new stove and dishwasher, due to adding 1/2" to the floor. Lucky to notice it before the counter was installed. If I was to be critical of one thing it would be that the designer/consultant would not make a house call. The wood flooring is exceptional and we love the counter. The designer really knew her stuff.

They were very helpful as we selected the carpet we wanted from their abundant and well designed showroom. After we made a down payment we were informed that the carpet was on back order - no fault of theirs - and they would call us when it arrived. After waiting nearly 6 weeks we contacted them as to the status of our order. They discovered it was in their warehouse and and they had failed to call us when it arrived. No apologies were made. We were to have it installed in 2 separate days. We booked the first day and were told they would let us know what day they would come back for the second day. Once again, we were not called and, since it involved some removal of old carpet on our part, we weren't prepared when the installer arrived. We have no complaints with the installer. He was excellent and did a great job.

I am very pleased with my experience with this company. They have an awesome ceramic tile installer who is easy to have in your home. They have the specialized tools to cut the tile so there is no chipping or mess. They even took my floor pieces to their shop to cut them, so there was virtually no ceramic dust mess in my home. They have done an excellent job. I have ordered carpet from them as well. I'm waiting for the carpet  install. Everyone who I have interacted with has been very professional and knowledgeable.

In 2011 we moved into a newly constructed home where Abbey Decorating was used as the subcontractor for all the flooring and stone work.  During our final walk-through with our builder, we pointed out some issues with our wood flooring.  We were told someone from Abbey Decorating would be contacting us to remedy these concerns/problems.  For instance, there was part of the flooring that hadn't received finishing, along with some spots that needed to be "filled."  In addition to these, there was a spot, approximately 2 inches x 3 inches that had been puttied in to try to look like wood.  The patch clearly did not look like the rest of the wood floor.
Abbey did not contact us as our contractor said they would.  After moving in we had to contact them.  Finally they sent someone out to look things over and agreed we needed to have things fixed and told us that someone would be contacting us to come out to fix the issues.  To be honest we played phone tag for a couple of weeks, but eventually they quit returning our calls.  Finally we were able to contact Abbey and they sent someone out again to look at the floor (not to fix it).  Like the first guy, he came out and looked at the floor and agreed it needed to be fixed.  However, same story - nobody came to fix the floor.  At this point, we decided to wait until our one year check.  At this time we sent out check-list to our builder who had Abbey come out, which they did again - but to only look at the problems - not to fix them.  This was the third time someone came to look at the problems and they all agreed.  By this time we had also found a fault in our linoleum, were unhappy with our carpeting (obvious seam problem, and rapid aging of the carpet, nails that were sticking out and cutting our feet), and as before, the wood flooring.
In addition to original problems with our wood flooring, we now had a problem because of a faulty part on our refrigerator that caused the ice maker/water dispenser to leak which caused addition damage to the wood flooring.  By now, Whirlpool was involved and had agreed to pay the necessary repairs that were caused by the leaky refrigerator. Subsequently, a fourth visit was made by Abbey and that guy acknowledged the linoleum problem and he was able to fix it while he was here to our satisfaction. He also hammered the nails into the carpet fixing that problem. However, when he looked at the seam, he basically poo pooed that as a natural occurrence with carpeting.  Going into the building of our home, we knew we were getting builder's grade carpeting, but that doesn't excuse faulty installation.  We had previously lived in 3 new homes with builders' grade carpeting and never had this sort of problem. Our carpeting looks much more worn after living in  this house for not even 2 years compared to what we experienced with our previous homes. We considered "upgrading" to a higher quality of carpeting, but after seeing the difference in price we knew it would be much cheaper later on.   Finally, getting to the wood flooring this gentleman agreed the original problems needed to be fixed, and told me someone would be getting an estimate to us to submit to Whirlpool to have the rest of the flooring repaired as well.  This never happened.  We waited.  We called.  Finally, we received estimates from 2 other flooring companies (Not Abbey) and had the work done.
Every person Abbey sent out agreed that things needed fixed, but we could never get someone to come out and fix them.  The bottom line is we felt like Abbey already had our money and wasn't interested in ensuring we were even reasonably satisfied.
In the past, we had used Abbey Decorating to purchase a few items for our previous home.  We had been satisfied, even pleased, with them in the past.
At this time, we do not plan on using Abbey Decorating again, and we are sharing this information with others who may be in the market for items of this nature.  For sure, Abbey has lost our future business, and we recommend the same to others.

There are large spaces between the boards, many gouges throughout the entire floor, staples in the wood, slivering wood, and raised boards throughout that you can stub your toes on.
We have contacted them many times on these issues. They hammered in the staples and filled the gouges with putty which look terrible but at least are not hurting our feet to walk on anymore.
The humidity level in the house is at 40% and they have told us it is too dry. Although they have also stated that the humidity should range between 35-45%.
Cliff, who filled the gouges and filled the staple holes with putty and was very nice to work with, told us that he thought the floor was terrible and said he would be angry also. He took many pictures on his cell phone while he was here. He also stated that they probably would not replace the floors like they should but would merely sand them and put a clear finish on them which would not fix the problem.
We would like to get these problems with our wood floors rectified but Abbey Decorating has not followed up on our complaints yet and this has been going on for a year already.

We wanted to replace three rooms of carpet and vinyl on the main level of our house with all vinyl. We found Abbey's on Angie's List. We went to their store/showroom in Apple Valley. We talked to and got much needed help from Jane. She was very easy to work with. Abbey's had a lot of choices in all price ranges. We of course fell in love with what turned out to be premium vinyl. We had waited to the last minute to do this, but Abbey's was real helpful in getting "the ball rolling" for us. They worked to get everything done on our tight schedule. Gene did all the work. And work he did over three days. I can't say enough good thing about Gene. We hope to use Abbey's again!

My experience overall was excellent. First of all, the in-store help from Brenda was very good and she quickly pointed me to the type of product that I wanted so that I could make a decision easily. The installer was on time and did an excellent job. He was polite, professional and cleaned up the area when he was done. I would certainly return the next time I need flooring.
The installer actually had to make two trips to the house as he found on the originally scheduled date that a leaking water valve on the toilet needed to be replaced before he could proceed.  No problems at all with the delay as they rescheduled as soon as a plumber made repairs.
