They did a great job at a reasonable price. They were able to get the work done in 3 days (from first visit to completion). Pleasant and courteous to work with. Would benefit from a reminder the day of the appointment (since they forgot mine until I called to remind them, but rushed over as soon as I called).

Didn't show up for first appt.  Was late for second, then needed to buy different cans.  Had them install pendant lights and they broke one of the globes.  Didn't offer to pay for replacement

I called Twin Cities Electric Inc. after receiving another quote for the same job that was about $900 higher than what Twin Cities Electric offered. Ted, of Twin Cities Electric, showed up the next day to provide a quote in writing and we offered to do the work a day or two later. Because of scheduling conflicts, Ted and another man came out to do the job less than a week later.
The job was completed in about five hours. Ted was easy to work with and offered a very fair price for the job. The only ding would be that the employee who helped him with the job showed up smelling strongly of cigarette smoke, but fortunately, that didn't linger after the job was completed.

They didn't do a good job with making their offer. Their offer was something that was unrealistic. They were suppose to put in 6 can lightings for a certain price but I guess it was more work than they thought it would be. They were here about January of 2012 and we spent the exact value of the deal. My husband wasn't very happy with them.

They did an excellent job. We had one lamp in the family room and the recessed lighting made such a difference. I had no problems.

The owner Ted sent two guys on to do some rough-in wiring on my house. Their work failed inspection miserably. Ted only showed up to collect money. He took my money and ran and I have been unable to get a hold of him since. I am a residential building contractor and have worked with dozens of sub contractors. Whether you are a homeowner or a contractor this electrician should be avoided. He is after your money and really couldn't care less about your project.

We are very pleased with the work performed by Twin Cities Electric. We added a kitchen island and in the process needed a bunch of electrical work done. We didn't plan out the electrical and needed them to come out on short notice. They were able to come out the week before Thanksgiving to get phase I done, thankfully, so we were able to get the rest of the construction done over the long weekend and be ready for phase II.
They did everything we wanted and helped with some of the decisions. Like placement of the can lights... who knew you shouldn't put them right over the working areas... them, not me! :)
These guys do the extras like cleaning up and preventing big messes.
They were out here last year doing a bunch of work and there wasn't a questions that we were calling them back to help with this project.  Thanks for the lights!! We no longer live in darkness!

I would NOT recommend this company. We are seasoned remodelers having re-done two homes. This is one of THE worst experiences we've ever had with a subcontractor. These guys compete on price, not quality of service or professionalism. They openly grip about each other, among other bad qualities.  Lots of good electricians to hire in the metro. I would avoid this company.

Ted (the owner/project coordinator) did a very nice job making sure expectations were clear and met.  I appreciated the timely turn-around on the work after agreeing to move forward.  I also appreciate Ted's willingness to work out a very fair price for the job.  My only complaint is that the crew left quite a bit of debris behind -- clean up was really an afterthought.  I also had to fasten the recessed light cans myself, which was an easy enough task to figure out on my own but would rather this was done by the professionals.  Ted, to his credit, was willing to finish this detail himself but I needed to keep moving on the overall kitchen remodel.  I would recommend Ted and his crew, but be prepared to spend a good amount of time on clean-up and detail work after the fact (unless you make it very clear in advance on these expectations - in which case I believe Ted is very good on his word).

He was very efficient and knew exactly what the problem was.  Since we were paying him by the hour and still had time left,  we asked him to fix another problem with the fan in our bathroom.  This was also fixed quickly.   We plan on using him again this summer to fix other mess-ups from the past.  He is a great troubleshooter.

It was more expensive than I thought, but I don't think he was expensive I think it was just expensive to do it.  He was good about accommodating us with our request to not bury the cable.  He had a way of doing it and it saved us some money.  He talked my husband out of getting an electrical motor for his birthday, he said they didn't work.  He also helped us save money by letting us dig the trench that the electrical was going on.  He was very good at helping us save on costs.

The fan was very loose. I sent bids to approximately 9 different companies. They all got back to me but the range of cost between them was very high. I had bids from $75 to over $200. Twin Cities Electric was willing to come on the day and time I needed them to be here and was on time. The services provided was excellent and the electrician was very pleasant and professional. He explained what he was doing and the cost involved with each step. He verified that the fan was working and that there were no wobbles before he left. We have had no further issues with the fan.
