I’m writing this review as a strong warning—do not hire Superior Heating & Air under any circumstances. We had worked with Superior for years without issues under the old ownership. But under new management, the company has completely fallen apart. We hired them to handle HVAC, plumbing, and electrical work for our basement finish, and the experience was an absolute nightmare. Here are just a few examples: 1. Multiple Failed Electrical Inspections Superior failed their electrical inspection twice. After the second failure, they tried to claim it “wasn’t in the scope of their work” to correct the violations—thankfully, the electric inspector disagreed. 2. No Hot Water for an Entire Weekend During a Friday afternoon electrical job, they cut power to our water heater and left without checking their work. We had no hot water for the entire winter weekend. Best part – zero apologies. 3. Lazy, Substandard Workmanship We paid them to move a toilet rough-in. They poured the concrete back unevenly, leaving us unable to lay flooring without additional work. When I asked them to fix it, their response was: “We’re not flooring guys—we don’t have to lay cement flat.” 4. Shower Door Bait-and-Switch They agreed to install our shower door and confirmed the model I texted them in December. Then in April, after the return window had closed, they backed out—refusing to install it and refusing to credit us for the work we had to outsource. 5. Lighting Errors and Surprise Charges At the start of the project, I showed the electrician exactly where I wanted lighting—he had no objections. During an electric inspection, we found that seven requested lights were never installed. When I raised the issue, Chris gave me a hand-drawn floor plan I’d never seen before, which didn’t even match our actual basement layout, and claimed that’s what the quote was based on. Then they billed us over $1,000 for the “extra” lights. When I pushed back, Chris shrugged it off with: “Well, someone should have shown this to you.” 6. Suspicious, Incentivized Reviews Since the ownership change, Superior has been offering $25 gift cards in exchange for 5-star reviews. This should be a red flag if nothing else—trustworthy companies don’t need to buy praise. And sadly, these are just the highlights. There were many more problems I didn’t bother listing. Bottom line: this company is incompetent, dishonest, and completely unaccountable. Save yourself the stress—stay far away.

Initial meeting with Ross was very informative and obvious from the beginning that he knew everything from the install to the sales end of the business.

Very professional installers and easy to work with.  Chris and Ryan and Mark were excellent as was Jeff in a follow up visit.  Kim in the office was pleasant and very helpful with rebates.

Major install taking a couple days to demolish and replace old system.

Superior replaced my furnace and AC. Gordy (sales) was very knowledgeable about the different models which helped me with my decision. The service techs, Chris & Ryan, did an awesome job on the installation. Professional, polite, I had total confidence in them. They had a tight space to work in to replace the furnace and took extra care so as not damage anything. I could not be more pleased and highly recommend Superior to anyone needing HVAC services.

Any company can slap something in and call it a day. how issues are addressed shows a companies depth and ability to support what they sell.

My and quot;oldand quot; furnace died during one deeply subzero January night. I called Superior early in the morning, they came out within a couple of hours to see if the furnace could be repaired. Upon inspection, it was noted that not only had the blower motor burned out, there were a couple of other things needing repair also. Due to the age of my furnace ( 18 years) I decided to replace it rather than have it repaired.
Amazingly they delivered and completely installed the new furnace by 6:00 P.M. that same day! My hat is off to the great group of guys who worked quickly and efficiently to make sure that we had our heat restored that bitterly cold day, as well as to Pam, in the office, who was instrumental in making sure that the communication necessary to coordinate everything went smoothly. Pam was also very helpful in explaining the rebates that I qualified for, told me when to expect my packet which contained everything I needed to send in the rebate forms. I have used Superior before and received excellent results every single time.

Superior sent two guys - one electrician and one for the furnace. When the furnace guy was done, he assisted the electrician. The furnace work went well, no problems (the furnace work was part of a pre-paid annual plan but I included the appropriate cost as if it were not already paid for). The electrical went well also. He was able to use the outlets/switches/covers I purchased (except that I didn't buy 3-way switches so that will have to wait for another day). This was one of those never-get-around-to-it projects that I was tired of looking at. Now the basement has functioning track lights, new outlets and switches, and the porch has a new light. All in all, it was only an hour for everything.
The kicker was that I was also having some windows replaced and everyone showed up at once --- and a big storm blew in just as everyone was getting to work. The window guys took shelter in the garage to work. The Superior guys even offered the use of their rain ponchos to the window guys.
Everything was cleaned up before they left and I'm very happy with the work, their attitudes, and their attention to detail.

Upon discovery of our need to replace our 25 year old furnace and A/C, Brian gave us a wide variety of choices to fit our budget. Installation was at a time convenient for us. Communication was clear and no surprises occurred in the job or billing.
All employees were courteous and respectful to our home. The technicians were thoroughly knowledgable regarding how HVAC should work in the design of our home, and could answer all questions. They were able to do all required ductwork, gas, and electric in-house, and it was done correctly per associated city permits. Billing was done correctly. Their office even filled out the required rebate forms for us; all we had to do was sign and mail them in! We received all state and federal tax credits as a result. They followed up with us a week and a month after the installation. Additionally, I received a phone call from the manager and owner asking our satisfaction. We paid a fair price for our equipment and the job. Above all else, we received superior customer service--as their name states. I would highly recommend Superior Heating, A/C and Electric to anyone.

Our A/C stopped working shortly before 3:30PM today. The fan stopped blowing outside and the A/C felt extra warm. We searched for someone to come out this late in the day and the customer service person said to call back after 4:30 because the oncall would pick up the phone. We called and left a message. Shane promptly returned my husband's call, thankfully. :) He said he could be here in twenty minutes, and he was! It didn't take him long to diagnose the issue, a capacitor (hope I have that correct!) Shane replaced the part, showed us a couple of areas of the A/C that needed to be cleaned,. :) He was very professional, nice, knew what he was doing, and our English Mastiffs are grateful he arrived so quickly and got us back up and working again. Thank you, Shane!

We have had some bumps with punctuality in the past but this time they arrived right on time and got right to work. There were no issues. The tech was friendly, polite, and cleaned up after himself. He has been to my house before so he knew what work had been done before and could monitor for any deterioration. Everything was good.

Gordy came out twice because the initial quote was given quite a while in advance from the time I was ready for the work to start. He looked things over very carefully. He has a lot of expertise and was very honest in suggesting what he thought I needed. He did not automatically suggest the most expensive.
It went great. They did forget to leave me the instruction manuals but will mail those instead. The workers put plastic/cloth down to protect the floors they walked on. They also took the time to explain filter changes and the importance of rinsing off the AC outside each year. They were there 1.5 days and were very polite and pleasant to have around.

I got a number of bids from both conventional and geothermal heating installers. After running the number on our install, it was clear to us that the conventional install was the way to go on our existing home. Balancing price, brand reputations from on-line sources, and reviews here on Angie's List we chose to go with Superior Heating. They have been really good to work with on the project and care of the system. They were able to squeeze us in to the end of the year to get the energy tax credit. Saved us a good chunk of change. They were very professional with the install. Even though it was a cold winter day, they managed to get the job done in a timely manner. The installers did a good job of keeping things tidy and cleaning up after the work. Overall I have been very pleased with the system and the responsiveness of Superior Heating.
