The crew from Robinson was great. They were prompt, professional, hardworking, friendly and responsive. They were also very reasonably priced compared to other movers I considered. I would definitely use them again.

Excellent! We had two previous movers back out once they saw the size and quantity of items to be moved. One of those movers recommended we contact Nick at Robinson Moving. I called Nick the next day. He sounded very nice on the phone and was not short with me like the previous movers. He listened patiently as I described the items stressing the size of several plus the amount of glass involved due to several being display cases. He said they include a minimum of 100 blankets with each truck. Since the truck was not a semi, I said it would take several trips and he said no problem. The three men arrived on time and worked almost 8 hours without resting other than to drink water. The first thing they did after looking at the items to be moved was to cover their walking paths and our stair railings with blankets. Every item was blanketed and/or wrapped in shrink wrapped. They were friendly and talked to us as they continued to work. All of their actions were top notch. However, it was the fact that they were extremely considerate & polite, that blew us out of the water. There was not one item broken, chipped, or scratched. You will feel safe and secure hiring Robinson Moving for a Local, Long Distance, or moving items within a location. We were! We would definitely hire them again without a second thought.

Did a good job.
Good price, a little over quote but not by much...well worth the money.
Took a little longer than we all expected but I even thought we had less stuff than we did.
Movers were very nice and handled our belongings well.  Took care to not track mud/snow in to old or new homes...lots of blankets.  :)
Our safe and clock were a pain but they got all in the new home and placed where we wanted them.
Nothing that Robinson Movers did/didn't do but here's a couple of tips to people moving:
-- Pack your stuff yourself (enlist family and friends) and be sure to label your boxes...this will make it easier on you and the movers.
-- Make sure you have enough boxes for the final "few" things you have to pack...believe me, you have more than you think you do.
--  Pack a suitcase and put it in your car at least a week before your move.  Include a couple days of meds and bath necessities...just in case you can't find that ONE box.
Glad to be in new home...now the unpacking begins.  Ugghh!!

We've used Robinson Movers before, and they did a wonderful job then, too. They're so courteous, professional -- emphasis on PROFESSIONAL -- movers. I've used/seen movers who do this as a side job, and it's clear that the movers they employ do this full time. They're extremely efficient and planful about cubing out a trailer, careful with precious belongings, etc. In addition, there is not a single scratch on any of the walls of the house we moved from, and the house we moved to. They answer the phone whenever I call. When I called them at 10 pm to ask about my mom's move, I left a message and heard back about 20 minutes later.  I unreservedly recommend them. 
During this particular move, something did break-- a futon frame. It broke as they were moving it out of the truck. The movers promptly informed us about it, and took i back to their shop to have a professional furniture repair professional fix them. We just got it back today. These things happen -- and I still would recommend them to everyone I know. I trust them, and that's extremely important.

Logan and Tom actually arrived early, calling ahead to be  sure the change in schedule was convenient, which it was. They were pleasant and respectful, conscientious and very hard-working, only pausing to determine the best way to maneuver heavy furniture around corners and down stairs. They put plastic wrap around drawers so I didn't have to empty them for the move. They were helpful in suggesting placement of furniture to make best use of space and avoid blocking outlets,etc. demonstrating flexibility  and willingness to make adjustments if needed. Following my car with the moving truck, they negotiated an unexpected detour around a construction zone.
Although the move took longer than anticipated, the hourly rates were competitive with other companies , and Kathy, who scheduled the move, was able to offer several dates which met my needs. She was also very friendly , responsive, and personable. I would definitely recommend Robinson Movers to anyone needing this kind of service! THANK YOU!

Their prices were quite reasonable. It’s a small company and they are hard workers. I had a little bit of trouble getting the move organized on finding a date and then getting response in a timely manner and so on but once all that got done, it was fine. He is really busy. Their communication was adequate was certainly not exceptional but he did get back to me and we did get it setup and moved my stuff and did a good job. He was really friendly. Once it was setup, it was fine so I would use them again. Just make sure that you start early trying to get the move setup before you need it done. Their hourly rate is reasonable. There was a piece of furniture damaged and he has made arrangements. He is very good about volunteering to make arrangements to have it repaired at his expense and it just took a long time for that to get all arranged but I’m waiting for him to come back right now but I have every reason to expect that it will be done very professionally because he’s using a very reputable furniture refinishing company to get it done.

They were very professional and the time frame discussed and estimate for the services was right on. We had all the boxes packed and the furniture we wanted moved, staged so it went more quickly. They are based in Ramseym MN.

WATCH OUT! They will provide you with an estimate...a minimum (i.e. $675 for 3 men and a truck for 3 hours) and assure you they can fit a three bedroom house in their truck. Of course the clock is running from the time they leave the garage until they are home. So that eats up time. After three hours the meter keeps running and so do the truck loads. My move took 11 hours, cost $1,700 (that was with a 5% discount) and they did three runs. Fortunately I was only moving 3 miles. The handwriting was on the wall when they arrived late. I started to do car loads myself. I had called 2 times for assurance they could actually put this house in the truck. Each time I described what I had. So don't be dooped like I was and think that you will get by with a load and maybe few extra hours. A friend used them the same day I did on my recommendation and their assurance they could move a three bedroom home in the truck. My friend moved from an 1,100 sq foot house and guess what? Yep, she had three truck loads and paid almost $1900. They moved my grand piano (which they said they could do) and it was damaged in the process. I yet to find the bed frames for the twin beds. So I paid and now I continue to pay. I will not use them if I ever have to move in the future.
