LEHMAN'S OUTDOOR POWER EQUIPMENT

Caution!!! I have a Toro Personal Pace mower with a broken cable that engages the blade. I took it to Lehman’s and was told they had a minimum $60 charge. I paid it and left the mower for repairs. After several days I hadn’t heard anything from them. Their repair guy hadn’t been to work because of family issues. I stopped back several days later and they told me it was going to cost over $400 to repair the mower. I could buy a new one for that. They gave me my mower back in a bucket of parts and didn’t even give me the cable I needed which was about a $15 part. I had gone to Lehman’s for years for equipment and service. Mr. Lehman, Sr was always cordial and provided good service. He has since retired and his kids have taken over the business. After my experience with the kids, I will never give them my business again. Service was terrible and it was a complete ripoff.

They did a great job.

Repair went as quoted and I was satisfied.

Lehman's is a honest and reputable place to do business.  We appreciate the quality and skill of the owner and employees.

They are a local company.  It is just a really good place. They are knowledgeable. I go there because of the knowledge of the man who works there. If you tell him what is wrong with something, he will probably tell you how to fix it, and if you don't want to fix it yourself, they will either come pick it up, or you can drop it and they will fix it. The fact that he is willing to tell you how to fix it is very good, and he is honest.

They were professional and seemed to do a very good job. Haven't used snowblower yet but it sounds good.they phoned prior to repair with estimate.

This is a small shop on East River Rd., and I'm sure glad I know about them now. I brought in a snowblower for a friend that hadn't been run in a few years and that was all I knew. They charged me $35 to look at it to give me a full estimate. I got a call back the next day and they said the carb needed to be taken apart and cleaned among other things and it would cost $208 total with the $35 applied to that total. I agreed and a week later they said it was done. For this price, this is what they said they did:
spark plug replacement
carb soaked and cleaned
belts replaced
controls adjusted
skids replaced
oil change
one full tank of gas run through it
The tank was empty upon pickup and I haven't tried it yet, but I'm assuming it will run fine in a month or so when needed. These folks were extremely polite and professional during each interaction and I feel I got my money's worth. I will be using them for all of my small engine repair needs.

Dropped off my lawn mower to see what was wrong with it.  They charge $35 upfront to take it in and do an inspection and will take that off the total bill if you have more done.  Mine was going to cost more to fix than it was worth, so I did not have more service done, and they took care of disposal. 

Very well, would use them again.

AFTER GETTING IT OUT OF THE SHED LAST WEEKEND AND PREPPING IT FOR THE SNOWY SEASON, I NOTICED THAT OUR SNOWBLOWER WAS LEAKING GASOLINE. I CHECKED ANGIE'S LIST AND GOT LEHMANN'S NUMBER AND GAVE THEM A CALL. WE DISCUSSED THE PROBLEM AND THE SERVICE TECH NARROWED THE PROBLEM DOWN TO TWO LIKELY ISSUES. THEY ADVISED THAT THEY HAD A PICK UP/DELIVERY SERVICE FOR A VERY REASONABLE PRICE (LESS THAN IT WOULD COST ME TO RENT A TRUCK FOR EACH TRIP!) AND WOULD BE HAPPY TO PICK UP THE UNIT THAT DAY. THEY CALLED ME TWO DAYS LATER AND ADVISED THAT THE SNOWBLOWER WAS REPAIRED AND FULLY SERVICED. THEY DROPPED THE UNIT OFF SHORTLY AFTERWARDS. I WAS VERY IMPRESSED WITH THE FOLKS THERE. MY WIFE AND I HAVE ALREADY DECIDED THAT AFTER THE NEW YEAR, WE WILL BE CALLING THEM TO PICK UP OUR LAWN MOWER AND GARDEN TILLER TO GET THEM READY FOR THE SPRING!! THE LABOR RATE WAS A LITTLE HIGHER THAN I EXPECTED, BUT ON THE WHOLE, I WAS VERY SATISFIED WITH THEM AND THE WORK THEY DID FOR US.

THEY FINISHED THE JOB RIGHT AWAY. THE SERVICE PEOPLE HAVE BAD ATTITUDES BUT THEY DO HAVE GREAT SERVICE!
