The buyer of our house hired an inspector.  The individual made modifications to our well without consulting us which caused it to malfunction.  I called the owner and he first denied even being here, then he said it wasn't working to begin with.  Then I told him that, on the report, they indicated that the well was in good condition and the technician reported that he made adjustments.  To that he said, well, if no one saw him make any adjustments you can't prove it.  He then told me that for them to come out and fix what THEY HAD BROKEN, they would charge me.
Response from H & H WELL SERVICES
"H & H Well Services was hired by the purchaser to inspect, test and thoroughly run the well system on this property. H& H Well services arrived as requested by the homeowner during the open inspection time to perform this work. The system was explained to the agent, buyers and current homeowners. Then it was explained that the air in the tank was far below the factory operating range. As it is not customary for the home owner to be on site during this inspection we offered to save them a service call to correct this deficiency. We offered as a FREE service to the homeowner, purchasers and agent to air the tank to balance the system. There by saving an additional service call. The homeowner agreed and this work was completed. 4 days later H&H Well Services received a call from the homeowner that there were issues with the Well. After much discussion and many questions were asked by both sides, it was found that the system was basically turning on and off differently than before. It was thoroughly explained to the homeowner that this is a normal response by the system as it was set back to its correct parameters. H&H Well Services offered to come out to check the air in the system again at no cost to the homeowner (as this was the only work performed) However the homeowner refused. *NOTE: H & H Well services strongly recommends to anyone purchasing or selling a home to have the well system thoroughly checked for any issues and/or lack of maintenance to the well system. Additionally understanding what kind of well system you have and how it operates is ultimately tied to the longevity of system parts and functionality. Thank you and we appreciate your business."

The job was to remove and cap a well in a property I am selling.   This is a requirement in Minnesota, all unused wells must be capped before they can be sold.  You must have a well sealing record recorded.  They arrived on time, got the job done and cleaned up afterwards. I was happy with the job and the price.

I was not happy that, despite three phone calls, I never did get a hard copy of the well sealing record.   The office handling the closing also made a request with the same lack of results.  I  finally got them to send an email copy a few days before closing. They also said a copy would be in the mail. Wrong.

I would recommend them if you have all the time in the world but not if time is of the essence.

Response from H & H WELL SERVICES
"I am sorry that you did not receive the hard copy in the mail as I personally sent it out. Unfortunately, I have no control over what the post office does. We work very hard to complete all of the processes involved in a timely manner. We advise clients to call and have an email copy sent out in case this happens. We sincerely appreciate your other marks for our company. Thank you."

He came out to do an estimate. It has to be done by state law. He suggested to wait until the house is sold to do this. He is trying to save us as much money as possible. This company is the ones who have written the legislation, so I m sure he s good. He is knowledgeable, and everything checks out, and I m very happy so far.
