Lakewood Painting

It went well. It wasn't their fault. It wasn't a really great time because my dad had died. They were coming when the funeral was held so it was a little complicated. The owner went on vacation and left one of his employees to paint. He did finish within a week but he was not here when he said he would be here. They did a good job when they got it done. Their responsiveness was good.

It went very well.  They were able to use paint from my previous project and did a great job matching and blending.
This is the third time Lakewood has been part of one of my larger projects.  I have been happy with their work every time.  They are neat and careful with existing woodwork, floors and furniture.

Looks wonderful - like a new house. They are pleasant and prompt - fair pricing. I would recommend them highly!

Matt was very prompt in getting back to me to set up a date to come out, look everything over and then e-mailed me with an estimate. We scheduled a date for him to come out and start the work. He e-mailed me a plan of when and what he planned to do.
Everything went as planned, even though the dining area wall required more work than he originally thought.
They are professional, courteous and a joy to work with.
I was very pleased with the job they did and the clean up was exceptional! I would recommend Lakewood Painting to anyone.

I was pleased with the results. The kitchen looks fresh and news. Matt even repainted four of my kitchen chairs to match the new decor. Removing the wallpaper was a hard job so Matt suggested shortcuts that would get the job done but take less time and expense. The end job looked just fine.

Every thing went well. He was there on time and finished sooner than he expected. Matt was polite and did a great job.

Matt was very prompt to respond to my e-mails asking for an estimate. He got the work done on time, in spite of a few unanticipated issues with the old wallpaper. The repaired wall looks great- very smooth finish and I was able to paint it easily with one coat. I woudl recommend this co. for wallpaper removal. Did not use their painting services.

the quote was very reasonable. the job was done very professionally. When I got home in the evening the first day, you couldn't tell they had been there other than all the repairs done to the walls. The second day, everything was painted and cleaned up before I got home. Awesome job.

While they were working on the wall, they took the baseboard off and found mold. He called me right away and showed genuine concern. I was really impressed with his efforts to get some more information on what we should do with the situation. He ended up cleaning it with bleach and did an amazing job with it. They ended up patching up the walls before they began painting. When they found out we have a lot of allergies and asthma in the house he went as far as to put up a plastic door with a zipper for our safety. They were extremely professional and nice. I felt comfortable leaving them at my home while I was away. He had a group of staff come do the work and they were all extremely friendly and helpful, and they did a truly amazing job with the painting. It was very high quality for the price they gave us. I feel that they really went above and beyond. While he was here, he even went out of his way to customize my son's bedroom because he loves kids. He is a top quality guy and I would recommend him to anyone.

Matt came out and got us an estimate within a few days of seeing what needed to be done. When he came to do the work he was very courteous and cleaned up after himself well. Did a good job of painting and patching some holes in sheetrock. Did exactly what he said he would do and he even painted an extra outside door for us that wasn't on the original bill and did not charge us!! Nice guy, hard worker, showed up when he said he would, so we would definitely call him again if we need some painting done!

I like that how quickly and efficiently he worked. He was upbeat and I liked that how positive he was when he talked. He came out before that and gave me an estimate but he worked more quickly than he thought was necessary. His actual cost was lower than his estimate.

Our overall experience was fantastic, a very friendly and professional staff.

It went well. Items were moved out of their way so painters were not slowed down. Poly draped over completed walls kept over-spray from items in garage. Floor was covered with rosin paper by dry waller and left to protect floor while being painted. Where paper was torn, Lakewood put taped tears or put down tarps to protect floor. When Lakewood picked up heater the next day, he provided a complete and accurate invoice.

The experience was very pleasant. Matt is a great person to work with. He is very professional and knowledgable in his field. He respected my time and our furniture and other belongings. He moved the furniture and returned it to it's original place before he left for the day. Lakewood Painting is a great company to work with.

Matt responded quickly when I contacted him and explained our mess. His price was reasonable, the work was excellent, and everything was done in a timely and professional manner. I will definitely hire Lakewood to do our exterior this summer. I've learned my lesson and will always check Angie's List before hiring someone. The other painter isn't on the list

Overall, I had an extremely positive experience with Lakewood Painting. Matt and Joel were great to work with. They were extremely attentive to detail and very professional. There were a few small hiccups in the process but Matt was extremely attentive and immediately took care of the issues. I could tell that Matt truly cared about this customers and wanted to provide the customer with great service. I will definitely call Matt again for future painting projects.

Matt was here as promised to work up an estimate on the work to be done. Then he was here a couple of days before the work was to be done to determine the exact paint colors. Then on the day it was to be done two of his men were here at 8:00 AM as promised and they did a good job masking and tenting off the areas and they completed the painting before noon. After finishing they helped me put things back and they cleaned up well. Since it got done faster than expected Matt gave us a discount on the final invoice.

They were awesome. The final cost was at the low edge of the range of the budget they gave me in the estimate because the wall paper came off easily. This was my first time to use them and they are relatively local to where I live. He was on time or early and he contacted me every day to tell me exactly when to expect him; he was very much on top of things. He works with a partner and they were really clear communicators. They cleaned up really well every day; they cleaned up to the point that he was on his hands and knees with a big brush getting the plaster dust off of the molding. On the first day they stripped the wall paper and scrubbed the walls; the second day they patched, sanded, and primed; and on the third day they finished painting all around. I would call them back. I thought the price was fair for the amount of work they did and I appreciate that they were tidy throughout the process. I never felt like I couldn’t go into the kitchen while they were working there and they brought all their own equipment including drop cloths. He told me that the paint my dry in different ways but he would come touch up anything I wasn’t happy with. He did a wonderful job of lining up what color ends where and it looks really good. Their professionalism was top-notch and we are talking about using this company again later in the year.

It was a great experience overall. Matt and Joel were punctual, pleasant and conscientious. They did great work at a fair price and we will call them again for sure.

I have lived in my home for 54 years and have had many professional painters work on the interior and exterior, but Matt and his crew were by far the best. Their work was completed in a little over two days and the results are incredible. The job they did in the kitchen and dining area is particularly impressive primarily due to the fact that they had to manually scrape two layers of wall paper borders which extended around nearly the entire perimeter. One of the layers proved troublesome, taking the better of a day to remove it. Afterwards they applied a coat of patching plaster to the area and sanded it smooth. I was particularly impressed with their plaster work. It was difficult to do, but the result is flawless. No one would ever guess where the old outlets were located, or that there was once wall paper in the room since no tell-tale ridges are visible. This kind of attention to detail was typical of every aspect of their work. The painting is equally superb. They made sure that everything was protected and clean, leaving the areas in which they worked spotless each day. Matt assured me that if I was not satisfied with any aspect of the work or if something needed to be corrected afterwards, he would be happy to take care of it. Matt also power-washed my home and manually cleaned some areas that the pressure washer did not adequately address. I will definitely use Lakewood Painting again.

Lakewood Painting was part of a remodel which I contracted with Whiletail Builders. Matt and crew were prompt and professional. My home was neat and clean at the end of each work day. They paid attention to the details of trim work. I have not found any paint specks or misses. He did return after the flooring was complete to patch a few spots. He was genuinely interested in knowing if I was happy with their work.
