FIRST CLASS GARAGES

Very customer oriented, accepted all of my input, and very helpful with coming up with a design for the garage door. They were a little slow with the job but the end product made up for it.

Terrific! Greg Barsness is a great contractor. He came when scheduled for the initial meeting, listened well to our needs, suggested options, provided the estimate on time. It wasn't cheap, but it was far below another bid we received, and I think we got a very good garage for a very fair price. Advice to homeowners - read the "garage purchase agreement" carefully. There's a lot of detail in it, and choices to be made. His subcontractors are excellent: hard working, efficient, friendly, and skilled. Greg can get a bit overwhelmed with scheduling, and I suspect that's the source of some of the complaints I read here on Angie's List about First Class, but I really have to say I've never hired a better builder. My wife and I are delighted with our garage. Hire these guys. (P.S. In the attached photos, the portable toilet is due to our home remodel, not the garage project. To my knowledge, First Class subcontractors make their own arrangements...)

Greg is an awesome contractor. He was very thorough in his estimate and took time to understand what I wanted for the garage construction. The estimate was very close to the final project cost. He was patient and helpful through the whole process. The construction crews were very professional and thorough.

GREG WAS GREAT TO WORK WITH. IN CONTRAST TO SOME OF THE OTHER BUILDERS I SPOKE WITH, GREG ZEROED IN ON EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED AND PROVIDED EXACTLY THAT. WHENEVER I ASKED FOR OPTIONS, GREG PROVIDED THEM AND EXPLAINED THE IMPLICATIONS. GREG EVEN ALLOWED ME TO MAKE A CHANGE THE DAY BEFORE THE CARPENTER WAS TO START WORK (MOVED A WINDOW TO THE OTHER SIDE). THE CEMENT CREW WAS PROMPT AND DID AN EXCELLENT JOB EVEN THOUGH THEY NEEDED TO HAUL THE CEMENT IN WHEELBARROWS. THE CARPENTERS WERE JUST AMAZING. THEY CAME IN AT SUNRISE, TOOK A SINGLE 20 MINUTE LUNCH BREAK AND COMPLETED THE WORK SO FAST I COULD HARDLY BELIEVE IT. THE QUALITY WAS VERY GOOD. THE MASTER CARPENTER WAS ONE OF THE MOST EXPERIENCED I HAVE EVER MET. THE ELECTRICIAN CAME IN WELL PREPARED, INSTALLED EVERYTHING PROMPTLY AND EXACTLY AS WE WANTED. PROBABLY THE BEST COMPLIMENT I CAN GIVE CAME FROM TWO BROTHER-IN-LAWS WHO HAVE BEEN IN THE BUILDING TRADES A COMBINED 60 YEARS. THEY BOTH SAID IT WAS ''FIRST CLASS''.

THE REPRESENTATIVE GREG WAS EXCELLENT AND THEY BUILT IT EXTREMELY FAST. IT ONLY TOOK A MONTH AND A HALF.

THIS COMPANY IS FANTASTIC. GREG WENT THROUGH EVERY DETAIL WITH ME DURING THE SALE PROCESS, AND EVEN HAD THE OTHER OWNER OF THE COMPANY (WHO IS ALSO THE CONCRETE GUY) COME OUT AND LOOK AT MY PROPERTY, AS I HAD GRADING ISSUES. THEY WERE ABOUT AVERAGE FOR PRICE, BUT I PICKED THEM BECAUSE THEY DON'T SUB OUT THE CONCRETE WORK. THEY COMPLETED ALL THE WORK IN 5 WEEKS (HAS TO BE A RECORD) AND I GET COMPLIMENTS ALL THE TIME ON HOW WELL IT WAS BUILT AND HOW GOOD THE CONCRETE WORK IS. THEY WERE ALWAYS ON TIME, ALWAYS COMMUNICATED CLEARLY, RETURNED ALL CALLS PROMPTLY, AND CLEANED UP AFTERWARDS VERY WELL. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE!
