SavATree - Afton

The arborist, the receptionist as well as the corporate office Accounts Receivable Manager are terrible at any customer service. I had been a customer of SavaTree for years. My husband suffered a severe medical issue.....lost his left arm due to septic I could not pay the bill on time. I was treated terribly; threatened with collections; paid as much as I could until finances were resolved. There is no compassion.....the only drivers in customer service is money. Bad things happen to good people..... and sometimes good people cannot pay their bill all at once or timely.

very very happy with these services. every leaf and twig was cleaned up. this was the best experience. i very highly recommend sav a tree. they took great pains to assure there was no lawn damage. i am so happy we used sav a tree for this. thank you .

This is the second time we've had SavATree out to do service and both times service was great. They are prompt, friendly, do professional work and do a good job of cleaning up after the trimming.

Jonathan was really nice, arrived right away and proclaimed time of death. I engaged them to remove the trees, save the small bits for firewood, and grind the stumps. The removal went well, and the gents were even nice enough to bring my trash can back to the garage! However, most of the wood left to me (about 80% of it) was way too large, and almost all of it will need to be cut down to be usable for firewood ($200 extra charge for this). I am almost 60, and I had to move so many 50 or 60 pound chunks one by one to the other side of my back yard. Took me almost a week. I had told the company about the gas line by one of the trees, but the guy came to grind the stumps before the line was marked. He had to come back. And I don't understand the previous reviews, as they say the company cleaned all the above up, because NONE of that happened here, and I am left with 3-5 foot mounds of wood/dirt piles to clean up, as well as numerous twigs. My yard looks like a bomb went off in it, with tractor grooves. so, if you are not ready to do a TON of the work yourself, hire another company. I did not expect to work 40 hours or more on a job I paid over 2k for. Again, really nice people, but wow, the work the homeowner has to do is in my opinion, extreme.

The crew arrived first thing in the morning, set up the equipment and got to work right away. A crane had to be used to remove all parts of the tree from the backyard over the house and to the front yard where it was sliced up and put in the truck. The crew had a well orchestrated process for tying off sections of the tree, cutting them off, lifting them over the house and cutting them up. The crew seemed to work well together and observed good safety practices. They accommodated my requests to watch the process and identified a safe place for me to observe. The process went pretty smoothly. There was one issue with a section of the tree accidentally hitting a piece of patio furniture. But the company agreed to replace that piece and they were very easy to work with through that process. The crew cleaned up as best they could given the snow cover. Overall, They delivered what we had agreed to, did so professionally, and were quite nice to work with. I would hire them again.

They cut the trees down very quickly and were very nice. We had used them 2 other times with no issues at all but this time I had to ask 3 different times when someone was going to come and haul away the stump grindings. I finally called the office and talk to a manager and they got someone out there the next day. It took a few days each time to even get a response.

Great - when the work was completed, they walked through the property with us to make sure that everything was completed to our satisfaction.

Arborist showed up for the estimate and was extremely knowledgeable, professional and clearly loved his job. He was a joy to talk to. He assessed what needed to be done and almost immediately e-mailed an estimate. The cost was slightly higher than I had hoped, but when is that not true. :) After mulling it over for a night, we said okay to the estimate. The next week, the crew showed up and trimmed the trees. They were professional, did an amazing job and cleaned up the yard completely. For how good a job they did, the price was very fair. I'm glad we went with them and will call them back for future trimmings/

They took down a huge tree that was overhanging our house. Fantastic work and they charges a fair price.

Great! It took a bit of communication back and forth to set a date and learn what we needed to do in terms of removing cars from street, but once the team arrived, they were quick, professional, and did a great job. The pricing was VERY reasonable against other estimates. We would definitely hire again for other projects.

They were efficient, very careful, and cleaned up thoroughly.

Certified arborists consult and perform tree maintenance and sadly, some removal, on my property. Formerly St Croix Tree Service. Conscientious and knowledgeable sales, foreman and workers. Highly recommended.

Last year, trees were sprayed in our yard. This year we were out of town and they came and sprayed again without any confirmation from us. We were out of country and they left messages and email. Correspondence with Emily, the Hopkins manager stated that they have an evergreen clause that states that they can come every year to spray unless you cancel. This was not pointed out to us anytime before. We sold our property and moved on. They keep adding on finance charge while we are disputing it. Please beware of this before agreeing. We did not sign any paperwork but they are holding us accountable. Just an email to ask for which services we needed last year was the only consent. I do not recommend them at all.

Nick, one of their certified arborists, visited to assess the trees (health and structure) and provide a quote on a plan for branch trimming and fertilizing (the large oak). He was knowledgeable, personable (explaining details for care in easy-to-understand terms) and professional. I agreed to the plan outlined and have had several other SavATree team members visit to perform services. All have been professional, explaining the services performed and details for the charges. The company also has a pay online feature that is handy. The crew will be back in January or February to trim the large oak (best time of year to do this work according to Nick). All of my trees are looking better than ever!

The arborist was very professional. He walked around the yard with us to review the trees we wanted trimmed. One tree is scheduled to be trimmed soon, along with a neighbor's tree, saving us both a bit on the cost. Two of the three trees require that we wait for fall, since, he said, those particular trees have a much higher risk of infection if trimmed in late spring. The red maple that will be trimmed soon is constantly encroaching on the roof of our house (since we planted it too close) so he suggested a growth inhibitor treatment, which has been done. Of course we won't know how effective that is for some time. Based on what we have seen so far, along with the experience of our friends who recommended them, we are happy with the result so far.

SavATree did a Wonderful Job!!!!. They removed all the debris, They did a GREAT Job in the Clean Up.
