Jon installed a stone tile backsplash in our kitchen and also above a laundry room sink. We provided the tile and he provided the other materials needed. Both backsplashes look great and are holding up well one year later. Good communication throughout the entire process from estimate to completion. I will use again.
Jon Fuller is a Ceramic Tile Contractor who doesn't cut corners. I am a bit of a handyman but after reading about the proper way to install a ceramic shower I decided I wanted to hire a pro. Jon is a pro in every way
Our original installation was leaking, I did the demo on this job, and upon removal of the wall tile it was obvious why it was leaking. When the original house was built it had been installed by someone who really didn't care. The pan sealer on one side dipped below the level of the floor allowing a clear path for any water that got past the grout to drain to the floor below. This will NOT happen to you if Jon installs your shower pan.
Jon installed the pan, and all of the tile. I was amazed at all of the steps it took to install the tile. It isn't something that you slam up in one day.
Jon cut no corners. One day there was only about 45 minutes of work that he could do, I believe it was when he grouted the floor. He did it and then came back the next day.
In all, the installation took about 6 days, and each day of work was based on the proper point to stop, not 4:30 quitting time. Jon knows what he is doing, and he does professional work, and if you want a professional job, Jon Fuller is the contractor you want doing your job. If you want someone who will cut corners to get the job done quickly or cheaply, Jon is not your guy.
I wish I could post a picture of the shower he installed. We picked out the tile and paid a couple of hundred more for it, but the end work was art, and much of that is because of the meticulous installation. I honestly can't say enough about Jon's work. I can imagine that perhaps you can obtain a lower priced quotation, but before doing so you may want to go on line and obtain information about jobs that have been done by people who don't know what they are doing. His work was worth every penny we paid.
I highly recommend him."Thanks for the review, [Member Name Removed]. The reason for grouting the shower floor and stopping for the day, was because of the 1/4 inch granite pieces. A mortar with a relatively high bond rating of 600 psi, does not provide enough strength after dividing the square by 16. A quarter inch piece would come loose with only 37lbs of force, or much less then what my knee would apply while twisting around, working on the walls. By grouting the shower floor and allowing it to cure over night, any twisting force applied to the 1/4 inch pieces will be transferred to the larger 1x2 pieces surrounding it and prevent them from coming loose. Adding an extra day onto the project to eliminate problems in the future, in my opinion, is always an easy decision to make."
