Mr. Layne is a class act. He came out on a Sunday morning to fix our garage door and it’s now working as good as new. Mr. Layne is professional, knowledgeable and very kind. I highly recommend him for all of your garage door needs.

Ron was extremely straight forward, kind, and honest.  After he promptly replaced my garage door springs, I was still having trouble.  He came out twice for no charge to see if he could get it working.  It was eventually determined that the harsh weather was making it impossible for my ancient garage door opener to do its job.  So I had Ron install a new one.  He installed it quickly, at a reasonable cost, and it's working great.

We found out the garage door did not open all the way on Sunday afternoon. I found out the spring was complete split.
I searched on Angie's List on Sunday night and found him.
My wife called him Monday morning like 8 am and he came right away, and by noon, garage door was fixed.
I would hire him when I need my garage door opener replaced.

I had used the company once before. Ron came out for the service and did a great job. He is extremely nice and accurate in his work. His diagnoses are on point and he has great pricing. He is very responsive and typically easy to schedule. He even called me ahead of time to ask if it would be okay for him to come out earlier than scheduled.

Replaced gear in garage door opener, as oppose to installing a new unit, based on repair to cost ratio that he explained at the time of service. Professional, easy to talk with.

When I called Ron he was very concerned whether or not we could get out of our garage. When he came to our house he was very prompt. While there he assessed our need but because we have an unusual spring he had to go get it in a town about 50 miles away, no additional charge. When he came back to install he assessed and greased up our exisiting parts. He is a top notch worker and a really nice guy. Thanks Ron.

My call was answered promptly by a human being rather than voice mail. I had to wait a couple of days for a visit because I called on New Year's Eve. But he appeared right on time on January 2nd, gave an estimate, which I accepted, and the work was done immediately. I was afraid that given the age of the garage door it might have to be replaced, but this was not the case. It was easily repaired. The repair was finished in about 30 minutes. He greased the entire apparatus free of charge. This was a wonderful experience.

Wonderful! Amazing service. Last Thursday morning, our garage door spring snapped. It had been acting up for awhile, and another company had told us the whole thing would need to be replaced at a cost of over $500. I called Mr Layne from work, expecting to talk with a receptionist and set something up for the following day when my husband could be home. Insetead he answered (from a waiting room), asked all the right questions, and assured me it would be a simple fix of around $150. He also said that he could do it that day. He does not take plastic, only checks. I was concerned about that, because my 19 year old son has a credit card, but no checking account. Again, not a problem. Mr Layne told me he would call my son around noon when he finished his appointment. He did, arrived shortly after that and completed the work in about 30 minutes. My son said he was the nicest, most professional person we have ever had do any work for us, and I would have to agree. He left an invoice for me, which I of course mailed in the next day.

I called Ron and he was at my house within an hour of my call.He told me what he was doing and why as he made the repair.He had given me an estimate when he arrived after assessing the problem and getting my okay.He was friendly and helpful the entire time.I would call Ron any time I have a garage door problem.

When I called him, he told me I was outside his service area. However, he took the time to talk me through how to fix my garage door myself. He was the nicest man, and I thought this was exceptional customer service.

I recently purchased a home that has two garage doors. During the inspection both doors operated fine, however, when I later tried to open the second door it wouldn't open. I called Ron a little before 2:00 pm and he was at my house by 3:00. The first thing he asked was, "Did you know the security bar was in place?" D'OH! I had no idea that the door even had a security bar. He showed me where it was and taught me how to operate it. He then fixed a garage door roller (on that door) that had fallen off. He adjusted and lubed both garage door openers and changed a burned out bulb in one of them. Finally, he helped me sort out the garage door openers that had been left by the previous owners that didn't appear to match the make or model of the garage door openers that were installed. He quickly disassembled them, determined that it was a dead battery causing them to fail, and reassembled the controllers. All in all, I was extremely pleased with Ron's work. He could have easily made me feel like an idiot (because of the security bar), but instead was respectful and informative. I would definitely recommend him.

Although the door opener was working fine, the door was having trouble opening all the way. After finding Ron on Angie's List, I called for an appointment and scheduled for the next day. Even though he was a little late in arriving, he called ahead of time to let me know he was on the way. We discussed his rates, which was by the half hour. He assessed the problem and replaced some rollers and spacers, then lubricated everything in sight and adjusted one of the tracks. When he was finished, it operated unbelieveably smoothly and quietly. He didn't charge me for any of the parts. Even though it took him a little longer than a half hour, he didn't charge me any extra. Plus, he gave me his senior discount of $5.00 off. He is an independent operator and does all the work himself, and has the "old-fashioned" work ethic that he is very proud of. He also doubled his usual warentee period for his work.

I called Mr. Layne yesterday and asked that he come today. He gave me a time range for his arrival and he was here within that range. He replaced a broken guide wheel, which was the reason for the request for services. He had that job done in about 15 minutes and then he lubricated wheels, gears, springs and checked everything out. He replaced some rusted metal on the door frame at no charge. He is a friendly man, serious about doing a good job. He is straight forward and not the kind of a guy who tries to sell something you don't need. What a joy to find someone who takes pride in their work.

Mr. Layne gave an exact estimate on the phone. He was able come out the same day. He was very clean and polite. He showed me how to open the door if this should happen again when I needed to get my car out. He worked quickly and even offered to replace the garage door light on the ceiling. He also repaired a twisted door track at no extra charge. He showed me how to keep the door in good working order, explained the expected life of the spring and had a warranty. I felt safe having him in the house around my 2 small children. I would definitely use him again.

Ron was very prompt in coming out and advising us on repair and replacement within a few hours. He also rebalanced the door and replaced many cables without additional cost. He took the time to explain not only what needed to be done now, but how we could help maintain the system in the future- before he left he made sure we had a good working knowledge of how the new opener worked and it's programming. At no time did we feel pressured. He seemed very knowledgeable with over 41 years of experience. His work was done well. He was a pleasure to work with.
