We had our tub and tile glazed eight yrs ago by Tub Glaze, Inc. Everything was great until the tub settled 1/4 inch due to poor construction 50 yrs ago. After we had the tub raised, I called Harvey at Tub Glaze, Inc He said they could re-caulk and repair the glaze. Cody was right on time and did a wonderful job. You can’t tell it was repaired.

Our initial interaction with the owner was very pleasant and his quote was cheapy than others. We were told that the finish could last 10 years or more with proper care. We were asked if we wanted glaze between the wall and tub. We said we did not. He did it anyway. When we asked him to remove it he did not AND charged us for it. It lasted almost a year before it started cracking where the tub and wall meet. As we had a 5yr warranty we contacted him. He said that portion of the tub wasn't covered under warranty, and was quite rude. The rest of the tub started peeling a couple years later. We followed the recommended care and only used dish soap and no harsh or abrasive chemicals or cleaning tools. It was very disappointing. I would not recommend this company.

They did an outstanding job! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone considering reglazing, as opposed to replacing. My only regret is not having it done sooner.

Doug did an outstanding job reglazing our old tub we did not want to remove while remodeling our bathroom. All communications with Tub Glaze/Doug were timely and informative. Doug arrived on time and went to work prepping the bathroom for glazing. The tub looks like a new tub. We feel the price was very fair and both Harvey the owner and Doug were easy to work with. We would use again and would recommend.

Spent $450 to reglaze two sinks (more than original quoted amount) & our sinks look like crap! The workmanship is not quality (looks like a seven year old painted sinks with wrong color) & the sinks started to crack almost immediately!! After contacting Harvey he agreed to return but after weeks of trying to get someone to our home (we had two appointments they did not keep) I had another company access. They said they cannot be repaired & would have to be replaced. I called Harvey & told him I wanted full refund & he explained there is "no warranty" as the sinks will crack again when exposed to hot or cold water. I do recall being told there is "no warranty" which is confusing since it should be stated as "no guarantee" since they do offer to return (at their convenience of course) but I would never have invested $450 if the sinks could not be exposed to hot/cold water. Now, our house is sold & sinks were noted on inspection. We agreed to resolve & will have to replace two bathroom vanity tops to make right with new buyers. Not a happy customer & will continue to seek refund even if I have to do so in small claims court.
Response from Tub Glaze Inc
"I am truly sorry that we cannot please every customer. I go to a lot of extent to explain limitations and everything thoroughly, and then my workers do. In this situation, we explained that it was more expensive than it was probably worth. Also, this is probably not the best application, and may not work because of what they wanted us to do. But the customer was anxious that we help her, and they were selling their house, and wanted the sink to look better. When my worker got there, he also explained to the customer the same thing. He showed her "No warranty" was written on the invoice, and he put stars on both sides of those words to emphasize. The customer still insisted. We did the work. They were satisfied. Since then, she sold her house. And then the repair broke down soon, as we told her it may do. She called & wanted us to come back. We tried to set it up, but she didn't return messages. Finally she called back and said that a friend had told her that it couldn't be fixed, so she wanted her money back. We reminded her of the things that were said, both on the phone and when the worker was there, about there being No warranty. She didn't want to discuss any of those things. She only wanted to argue that she wanted her money back. We want to emphasize again that we told her it was not a good idea, and may not work or hold up, in that situation. I'm very sorry that we can't help everybody! Tub Glaze, Harvey Hampton"

The tub was rough and gritty on the bottom when the guy left. He had dirty socks and stepped in a bucket of water upstairs on carpet and after his foot was all wet walked around upstairs and up and down the stair steps and the carpet was filthy. I tried to clean it but to no avail. I called the owner back and showed him and he had his guy scrub it with a dirty brush. We ended up replacing the carpet ($3,000). He also left a white dust on everything in the rooms upstairs which I cleaned up which I was not happy about. He came back a second time to sand the tub some more - another mess. Owner called again after I left feedback and wanted to come back again and I said no, I did not want to deal with him again. I feel it was a very unprofessional job and I notice where he put a filler in the tub it is now turning dark. I don't think he used the right materials to begin with and I do not feel the guy sent out to my home to work had much experience or knowledge about what he was doing. I paid for the job but was very unhappy and will never recommend him for another job to anyone.

We were so unhappy with the job they did and the mess they left behind, ruined carpet, the whole upstairs was filthy when they were done. We paid them but will never give them a good reference. We called and complained about the original job - the bottom of the tub was so rough and "picky". Harvey told us that when they do a job they determine how they will finish the bottom of the tub so "elderly folks" won't slip and fall. I think that should be our decision if we want a rough finish in the tub and we did not. When his guy returned to redo the finish, it wasn't any different than he did it the first time. It was $495 and what a waste of money! I left negative feedback on his Internet advertising site but negative feedback does not show up on his site as he reviews it first. Our job was done on 3/01/16 and we were and still are very unhappy with it. We were told they would clean up everything afterwards but that did not happen and my carpet is just a lost cause. It looks like cement footprints on each step.

We did return to fix any problem; I didn't know that it didn't leave you completely happy. Please forgive me, if needed, bec I failed you, or didn't meet your need; then call me and let me know of Any concern; if you'll give me some time, we will do our best to take care of your need. We've been servicing folks in this industry for over 27 years now with over 100k satisfied custs (having done personally 50k or more myself). TG has near 1000 repeat businesses (plmbrs, bldrs, remodelers, hotels, apts, etc); and TG is certified with every tub & shower manufacturer in US & Canada that we've ever heard of, where we do their warranty work (like Jacuzzi, Kohler, Am Std, Delta Faucet, etc---it's noteworthy that Every One of Them contacted TG after sending another pro company that did Not do the job right, nor could satisfy cust). We have always tried to go the extra mile; yet I'm also aware that no one can please everyone. I'm sorry if we failed this cust; that's definitely Not my aim or goal! I'm the one who always answers the phone; on very rare occasions another answers when sickness or vacation happens---though my wife would ask what a vacation is! "We just heard of this today. We quickly called & spoke to Angie's List about this cust today; they said they would contact & confirm that TG is the company that she had a problem with. Bec we searched all our records, and we have NO record of doing business for this cust as she said. First, only I answer the calls; my wife Never answers the calls (she is not a people-person: I am). Second, we have No shop or place to take jets to spray glaze; all our work is done in cust's homes. (If one of our worker's did so, on their own, I'm not aware!) But again, I can find NO record of her. We've been servicing folks in this industry for over 27 years now with over 100k satisfied custs (having done personally 50k or more myself). Spoke with Harvey (owner) when I initially called to set up appointment.  He gave me the pricing details over the phone based on my job which was to reglaze a cast iron tub.  Called me back with the earliest available time slot to get the work done and we set up the appointment for the following week.  Mark the technician showed up on time and began the process of prepping the old tub for the new finish.  Takes quite a bit of time to get everything clean and prepped. Mark also taped and masked off all the surrounding areas of the bathroom to prevent any overspray from getting on the tile and other fixtures.  Finished product was beautiful when Mark left, glossy, smooth white finish where the old finish was dull and pitted.
Next morning checked on tub again and noticed some rough areas where the finish was not as smooth.  Called Tub Glaze and spoke to Harvey again and he was out at the house within a few hours.  He agreed that the tub needed more work and we set up a time for Mark to come back.  Mark came and repaired/reglazed the tub again and the finish is beautiful.  Very impressed with how great the old tub came out.  Company and people are good to work with and seem committed to customer satisfaction.

We bought a new home (with an old tub) and wanted to have the tub reglazed.  It looked great initially, but then it started to bubble, chip, and crack.  He performed a repair, but the problems persisted.  He ultimately had to redo the whole thing which began to have issues again.  He tried to bill us for the repairs, which I was not comfortable with.  In a discussion on the phone, he became upset and so instead of trying to reason with him, I sent him a letter explaining my issues and informed him that we would not be paying the bill for the repairs.  I never heard from him after that.  I am sure he lost money on our job, which is unfortunate, but I felt like it was not our fault.  We were never fully comfortable interacting with him.  We have since had another company come in to redo his work.  The new professional seems to think that the product used by Harvey might have been an automotive product because he didn't recognize it.  We have had a couple of chips in the new glaze, but otherwise it has held up much better.  We now have a child who throws toys all over during his nightly baths, so I would have expected this new glaze to wear as bad as the original, but it has not.

I wish I had a better report to leave for Tub Glaze, because Harvey (the owner) truly is a very nice man and was lovely to work with. We hated our bathtub but couldn't afford to replace it, so we looked into reglazing. Tub Glaze removed the shower door and repaired the edge of the tub (it really does look almost like the door was never there), and also reglazed the rest of the tub, changing the color from almond to white. (Well, mostly -- it sort of looked very light beige afterward, but that was OK with me.) At first, it looked fantastic. But it didn't take long before the glazing on the inside of the tub started to flake and peel off. Over the years, Tub Glaze has come out several times to repair those spots, but now our five-year warranty is up. (Full disclosure: We haven't contacted them since the warranty ran out, to see if they would still repair the problems we've had, because at this point we just want a whole new tub.) We're still having the flaking problems, and now we have dark, discolored spots that look almost as if mold is forming between the glazing and the tub. In addition, the areas around the faucet and the drain look pretty bad, too -- you can clearly see where the glazing is chipping off. I don't know if our experience was typical of glazing or not, but I wouldn't try it again.
