While the work looks fine so far - I've never been treated more hostilely by a company I had do work. I do not recommend them. My experience with Davis Plumbing is through Ace Services that sub contracted them to do work on a bathroom job at my house. While Brian, the manager was courteous, professional, and understanding about my concerns with the work site and the work they planned to do, my experience with the actual plumbing team was a nightmare. On the day they arrived I had no communication or notification that they would be there until Brian called to ask me to unlock the garage for them so they could get their parts shipment out. I let him know where the key was inside the house and gave them a contractor code to retrieve it, but he called back to say they couldn't find it. The Plumbers from Davis were two young men, who couldn't be bothered to follow simple directions to retrieve the garage key from a drawer inside the house. When I arrived from work to use mine, they hardly greeted me and told me that their shipment was incomplete and that I would need to buy the needed parts. Of course, I've already paid for those parts as part of the contract with Ace, and didn't appreciate being told I was going to need to spend more money. I let them know that was going to have to be handled through Ace. They covered the floors for the most part with bed sheets to keep the floors from being scuffed. However that night when I went to inspect how they left the site, I found a gouge and a two and a half inch scratch in the hardwood floors just outside of their work area. I had taken pictures of the new hardwood that morning and took pictures of the damage that evening. No other contractors had been in the area. When I told one of the plumbers who returned unannounced that they had damaged my floor, his immediate response was "Wasn't us." I told him that he'd clearly dropped a power tool or something that had gouged the floor and left a scratch as it dropped, and he said "PROVE IT." So I did, using the photos. Then he said "Well you'll have to take it up with my manager. Damage on Construction Sites happen." Not a day later after doing so I got a notice that Davis wanted an additional $700 to cover work needed near the wash tub and Kitchen, when they weren't even supposed to be working in the Kitchen area and we've pulled a separate permit to do so. At the end of this - Davis might have done a fine job plumbing. But I'll never give them another cent, and if this is how they treat their customers, nobody else should either.

His return call after I left him a message was very good and prompt. He was running a little late on the day of the appointment. He did call to let me know that he would be late. He was not very neat in the bathroom when he was cleaning up and left a mess. He stripped a pipe in the bathroom and I had a hard time getting a hold of him to come back and repair it. I gave him an old towel to use to wipe up the messes with. He used it but he needed more to clean up with. Instead of asking for something or using the paper towels on the counter he used clean dish towels.
Response from Davis Plumbing
"I am very sorry you were not happy with your service. As for the cleaning up part, as I started to clean the mess up, I was offered a towel and said no thank you. As I sent my employee to get the proper material needed to clean up the mess you implied once again to use the towel and you stated that you were to clean it up. After taking your towel that you offered I began cleaning the little mess that was made up. After I asked my employee to get some cleaner out of the truck you said to leave it that you had planned on cleaning and you were particular about how stuff was cleaned. Your price was quoted before the job started. You had the option to replace your faucet or purchase a new one. It was explained that rebuilding the old one leaves a chance for failure in the future and purchasing a new one was more expensive but it came with a warranty. You called about five weeks later and I spoke with you. You had mentioned that you were having issues again and you wanted me to come fix it. I explained that was not a problem and asked when was a good day to schedule a appointment. You asked if this was going to cost you. I replied, there is no charge for me to come look at it, and that if the faucet was defective, I would have to charge you since you chose to rebuild the faucet rather then install a new one. I cant warranty new parts in a old faucet and that was explained. Also, while I was there, you had a few other very small issues that I fixed and didn't charge you for. Once again, I am very sorry you feel my service was not up to par"
