Painting incompetent with paint on new articles and no paint on surfaces damaged. Paint specks all over new wood vanity, flooring and appliances.
New appliances damaged, scratched and dented. Kneeling on dryer requires dent removal and throwing tools and tile on top of counter tops and appliances creates scratches that cannot be repaired.
Washed his dirty tarps with plaster dust, grout and plumbing solder in brand new high efficiency washer and dryer. Still trying to clean out the dirt he introduced into the new machines.
Installed new vanity and sink top without bracing and cracked it by standing on it and walked away.
New sink top is tilted down and away from the drain, so it won't drain and needs to be reinstalled.
Plumbing leaked throughout every installed toilet and sink.
Wall repair with plumber's putty that can't be painted.
Installed vanity mirrors off center and light fixtures even more off center.
Gas leak in the install of gas dryer.
He ran the AC at high for days even though the filter was clogged with his construction dust and no air was coming from the vents.  This led to a major ice block in the furnace AC system.  Repair required defrosting and a water flood to our downstairs neighbor.  He doesn't know how the basics of HVAC work.
And most of all, he rejects specifications of colors and models without discussion and introduces irreversible colors of paint and tile.  He loves to introduce "slivers" of tile since he does not plan the "end" of the tile and has a dull tile cutter creating rough chipped edges on tile cuts.  Even though he was instructed to do the tile in specific ways, which he rejects without discussion.
Three colors of tile, although one was spec'd for a bath installation and totally different grout from the rest of the bath.
Our intention was to move into our condo with repairs and renovation complete.  We now are in and live with the renovation around us everyday.
Dave's work is dirty, sloppy, careless, dangerous and incompetent.  His cheap price is useless since we have now spent more than we paid him to rip out and repair his incompetency.
