I was asking to receive a quote to bring a rental property up to code. They said a sales person would go and look at the property. About 2 weeks later a admin person called and stated that the sales person wanted to tell me 95/hr before we proceeded. I said that's fine but please give me an estimate on how many hrs. Never heard back. The conversation in my opinion was not very professional and i really believed they were trying to tell me no thanks but just wouldn't say so up front. Waste of time.

They were very responsive, professional, and on time and maybe their work would have been great, but way out of my price range, for $7000 for a tiny little kitchen and just counters and backsplash, and one window. t
Was really hoping they would work with me, maybe help me figure out an inexpensive way to get new granite counters into that kitchen. I got no helpful suggestions, just worst case scenarios and a ridiculous quote. He told me the window was $900, but could not break down the rest of the cost for me. I ended up having someone come in and remove the old counter tops, and prime and paint the back splash, for $250, and had granite installed for $1495, 1 slab. Wallside said they would do the window for $500. Less than $2,500,that's what I'm talking about. =)

New roof was finished May 28, 2014. They tore off and installed the roof in 1 day. The workers were very professional. They removed all material and cleaned up the entire work area. No nails or debri left on the property. I liked their process of removing the back portion of the roof first and then installing the shingles on the back of the house before completely tearing off the front of the house. This process proofed to be the best because in the afternoon it started raining and lasted for approximately 3 hours. There were no issues with the back of the house because it was finished. However, water leaked into my home in the front, even though the roof was covered with tarps. The rain damaged the front entry way of the interior of the house. DA Home Improvement handled this problem immediately by repairing the drywall and painting the area. I was happy with the final outcome of both the roof and interior job. DA Home Improvement also installed a prefab three season aluminum patio room with a poly roof system to an existing deck, attached to the back of my home. Also they installed 4 inch thick, 15x11 concrete pad (patio area) to the back of the home. Again they were very professional and the work was completed to my satisfaction. All building material was removed and I have no complaints with any people that worked on this project. This was a longer process. Our first meeting was April 18, 2014. The room was not finished until October to my disappointment because I looked forward to using the patio and room for our family events during the summer of 2014. There was a lot of red tape getting the city of Livonia to issue permits. However, DAHome Improvement and their work staff and engineers worked with the city and finally got the job approved and finished. I am sitting on the porch on this beautiful spring day in 2015 enjoying my porch and wanted to share this experience with Angies List. The salesman Jim Ledbetter and office staff, Linda, Monica and Amanda are awesome.

We decided not to do the work and consider moving instead. If I was going to have the work done, I would have hired them. I know several people who have had work done and they are all very pleased with the quality.

They did very good work. They leave no mess behind at all. The price is a bit higher than others but you pay for the better work. I am going to be using them again in a couple of months.

I was looking for some help with putting my basement back together after the flooding last summer and wanted to go with a local company. I found D A Home Improvement via Angie's list search. I had purchased a new product as the flooring option for my basement, made to be used in garages, but I wanted to use indoors. They did a fabulous job with the flooring and helped me find a good option, read not to expensive but looks great, wainscoting. Also gave a such a good price on re-doing my kitchen cabinets and counter that I could not pass up to chance to have the kitchen redone. I needed more help with picking out finishes for the kitchen and their Mr Lee Kelly was wonderful.
I found the work men ( Paul, Clarence and James) to be through, very prompt, cleaned up after themselves, and overall did a wonderful job! The entire job was mostly finished in about a week, just a couple days over for last minute punch list items.

Ken showed up on time and discussed my remodeling project for a basement in my rental property. He was great to talk with and get ideas of what could be done. However, follow-up was poor. Didn't hear from him for 2 weeks regarding a quote, and when he did contact me, he didn't provide a written quote, just an email with a final price. I told him his "quote" was beyond my budget, but would be interested in getting a more detailed quote and ideas of what could be done within my budget. He promised he would get that to me in a couple days. It's been almost a month with no response.

Company was very impressive and brought masonry expert along with sales representative to the house to consider options. They seemed very knowledgable and they were definitely in the running to handle the work; only concern is the length of time it took them to compile the estimate (more than a couple weeks) which required my follow-up to obtain. There was an extensive amount of work to be done so some delay was understandable. By the time the quote was available and the time of year it was not feasible to get work done that season, and I had to put the project on hold for unrelated reasons the following spring.

This company fallowed the arranged contract, but failed to followup with work that needed to be completed as of this date, September 11, 2014. I have called several times requesting for my services that I have paid for to be completed, but have not received any adequate response.

The job was probably $1200 because it included plumbing. They were good. They did what they said they were going to do at the price they said. They were an honest bunch of guys who came over here and worked.
