Sean Bachman did a fantastic job. We had gutted a bathroom in a 1938 house we bought in 2013, and we decided to replace an old bathtub with a walk-in shower. We bought a load of Mexican tiles and designed a pretty complicated layout for the room. Sean is a superb craftsman. The result is a first-class, absolutely gorgeous bathroom, a showpiece. We love taking people to see it. All the touches were wonderful -- how he laid the tile onto the built-in bench, how he beautifully put in a series of multi-colored 1x1 inch borders, how he mitered the corners, how smoothly and geometrically he laid in the decorative tiles. The room is a work of art, thanks to Sean. He is awesome.
Description of Work: Tiled a remodeled bathroom.

He promised to complete the work by the 4th of July. He came a week before and worked for a half an hour. He promised to be back for for a second coat. A week later he has not returned or returned any of my calls.
Description of Work: I hired him to tile two planter boxes.

Response from BACHMAN TILE & MARBLE
I first talked with the member about this project in the early spring. Needing warmer temps for the work I told him to call me in June or so. He did, but I had 3 jobs going and didn't have the time to do it. I told him I knew of another tile setter that would be willing to do it. He said no, that he wanted me to do it. I said that I would try to get started on it and bounce over to it when I had time. I should have never started it. This was mid-June, the 4th seemed a possible completion date. I worked 2 partial days with a helper, straightening and prepping the planters. Rain, no power one day, and previous commitments kept me away till late June. I returned and put a coat of waterproofing on. The member said I needed to finish by the 4th a few days away. This was just not possible. I had been working nearly every day for the last 2 months, usually running about 10-12 days then a day off. I was just plain over worked. I had planned on going there over the 4th of July weekend. When the member started calling me on the morning of the 5th before I'd gotten to his place I'd had enough. I was already working on another job trying to finish it up, before heading over. He well knew that I was very busy, I told him several times, but he couldn't give it a break. I couldn't put all of the other jobs I had going on hold and go do just his until it was done. I apologize to the member for walking away from his job. I'd never done this before. I guess I'd just reached my limit. Another holiday weekend working and not with my family wasn't what I needed.
